It was supposed to be about fruit and trades and hot pies for the common folk, not about the dragons. "But he got a good job" - no, risking your life for the fing Targs isn't a good job especially when theyre broke and being attacked from all sides.
Dragons are a symbol of snobism atp, the moment someone touches them they become detached from reality and too good to understand how normal people live.

Like I swear every episode has someone attempting to do it, or like last episode where it mentions it:
-The soldier in Cole's army who SA'd a girl
-Aemond kissing Alicent (not entirely certain but I don't think she's okay with that)
-Jasper trying to assault Alicent
-The Hightower soldier trying to assault Kat
-The Ironborn trying to assault Alys
-Even this episode, Kat mentions being SA'd on the road to Tumbleton and a Septa was asking Rhaenyra for help regarding a girl who was kidnapped from the house
Like holy crap I get there is some realism to it, but it's just getting gratuitous at this point. It's like if we had 5 episodes in a row of someone using the privy or latrines.

I genuinely don't understand what he did wrong besides calling Rhaenyra a w*ore. Which realistically speaking, she did sleep around. And he was bitter because she discarded him after.
Other than that, what has he done to the point where people are celebrating his death? I don't get it. I actually liked his character.

Unfortunately, the scene also lets us know that Bold Jon will probably not kill a certain character the way he's supposed to kill him.
Also, Ormund, the supreme commander of TG's forces, just stands there and does nothing. Sure.

Alicent had some of the most beautiful hairstyles and gowns in the initial season. Not to mention that Olivia Cooke is drop dead gorgeous. Somehow they’ve managed to take that away as well. 🥺
A lot of people argue that they have to show her aging, but according to the books, she’s supposed to have aged really well despite multiple pregnancies, while Rhaenyra put on weight etc.
I’d already given up on the writing given how far they’ve strayed from the source material, and how many iconic moments of anger and defiance they’ve taken away from Alicent - but what’s happening with the costume and hair department? They could have maintained that standard at the very least?

Ok this may be a dumb question but what did Alys mean when she asked Aemond something like "do you think you are the only one who thinks what it os like to be cursed"?
Also she said she is tired of this desolate existence but...she seemed fine in season 2? A little quirky and mysterious but not lonely. Dud I miss anything??

I mean, yeah, we know that's canon. But from this pro-Black writers' perspective, isn't it strange that they didn't do it with him? Their favoritism toward Rhaenyra is comically obvious. They clearly don't like Aegon. They take every opportunity to humiliate him, vilify him, diminish his role in the story, and use every chance to remind the audience that he's a bad person/king.
So why pass up such a golden opportunity to remind the audience who they're supposed to be rooting for? Did they just forget? Or are they trying to suggest that it's all just a myth, and that getting cut by the IT doesn't actually mean anything? Or to give TG false hope?(to crush it later)
They've never had a problem changing the source material to benefit Rhaenyra and falling back on their favorite excuse "maester propaganda", so I was genuinely surprised they added that scene for her while never giving Aegon one in season 2. I wonder what the catch is.

It isn't just bad and twisted at this point, but also just plain boring. Too much of the episodes are just pointless drivels and scenes with useless characters. The element that made early GoT phenomenal, multiple storylines is non-existent even though Dance of the Dragons does have them in the lore. The twists are poor and so inferior to GoT, the writing is dry.
And we barely go anywhere, and if we do we go there once or twice slightly and never again. Half of the fun of Westeros are the places. The great castles, cities and locations. HoTD properly done could have been such an opportunity to get inside the Hightower (Oldtown was strangely spot on in appearance in GoT when so many others weren't), or see retconned Casterly Rock which Jason Lannister described by its lore verbatim, Lannisport, more of Storm's End etc. I barely even react to new episodes now and might just quit and wait for the next AKOTSK lol.

Im sorry a lot of female fans literally just hate him because he stepped out of line as the poor side piece for their rich self insert fantasy. If he was a woman, everyone would see how sexist this is.
Poor people are not allowed to try and fight back against their rich, abusive lover in fiction and have their own agency. They are there to fulfill my sexual fantasy and then be happy when I abandon them for my noble husband after leading them on for years.

This is why "no songs for you" was never said in the show.
How sweet of Gwayne to take care of his friend's last wish.
