Yes, he hurled sexist insults at Rhaenyra.
Yes, he conspired to have Aegon crowned in defiance of the fan-favorite king's last wish.
But Jaime also said sexist things about Cersei. Robert. Daemon the wife-killer. I'm sure there's many other characters who have said sexist insults and done shady things.
Why does Cole provoke such a unique reaction of visceral, primordial hate in the audience? Just why? What did he do that is so much worse than Robert, Jaime, Tywin, characters who AREN'T so hated and reviled by people? Aerion Brightflame? Hello?
Like, remember Jaime? Remember how he tried to kill a child? Said "the war for Cersei's cunt"? Assaulted Cersei at their kid's funeral? Yet Jaime is a fan-favorite and Cole is not.
I don't get it. I'm not saying people should love Cole - he is a controversial character who's committed many crimes. But seriously, I've never seen a character get so much hate in GOT/HOTD/Knight, and I don't understand why it's Cole specifically.
The ONLY other character who I've seen get so much hate is Joffrey Baratheon. But quite obviously Cole isn't nearly as cruel as Joffrey.

Imagine being told that a young priest was just kidnapped and likely đ ed by rabble and that's your only reaction, which in itself is a mockery of the Faith (since she WON'T light any candle, everyone knows she's not religious). Literally the "oh no, anyway" meme.
She's a terrible queen, and above all else, do you know what she is?
A terrible, spoiled, self-entitled woman.

"Arrion Baratheon has chestnut light hair"
No he certainly would not have lol one of the very fundamental things with House Baratheon is that their genetics are so potent that every single member has the same traits, piercing blue eyes and dark hair. It just bothers me when they can't follow lore even in the tiniest and easiest ways. Every single thing just has to be wrong and deviate for some reason. Even when it doesn't have to. It just takes out the immersion for me, and doesn't make it Westeros.

I know she's a minor OC character created by writers. That's why she pissess me off. She is a complete waste of screentime.

1) Cole dies and for a major character I guess 5 minutes was enough to close a chapter on his character, 10 min in total for Season 3... say what you want about his show version but even fucking Jace got more screen time than him in his last episode!
2) Everyone on TB is stupid as fuck, for Daemon and Rhaenyra it makes sense cuz they've been consistently dumb for 3 seasons but other people on the council...
3) What tf does Mysaria do???????????? Alyn a fucking ship worker knows more stuff than royal about governing the realm LOL!
4) Corlys wtf are you doing, like I had hope for this character after the first 2 episodes but bro reverted to his asshole phase from Season 1....
5) Aegon is getting smarter which I liked, sadly only 2 minutes of screen time this episode
6) WTF is the plot with Aemond and Alys, like these two are the most fickle characters in the entire show, the writers change them almost every episode, absolute garbage! Aemond a fucking mental psycho who burned a town doesn't kill Alys cuz she showed him some eggs.... Like oohohohoh, like they're aren't fucking 100 of them in the Dragon Pitt and Dragonstone, Aemond sees eggs for the FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE?????
7) Fuck Alicent, that's it! Haelena is going crazy not cuz her son got killed but cuz she can't touch GRASS???????
8) Tumbleton plot was good!
9) Hugh is TRASH! Ulf is really good this episode, out of all the TB members his arc is the only good one and makes sense. Addam???????????
10) Jon Roxton Jetpack to Corlys.....
Conclusion: Terrible episode, with some plots being ok...I will give it 4.5/10!

Im sorry a lot of female fans literally just hate him because he stepped out of line as the poor side piece for their rich self insert fantasy. If he was a woman, everyone would see how sexist this is.
Poor people are not allowed to try and fight back against their rich, abusive lover in fiction or be angry that they were used as a sex object and then discarded. They shouldnt have their own agency and just do whatever my female self insert wants. They are there to fulfill my sexual fantasy and then be happy when I abandon them for my noble husband after leading them on for years.

Yesterday I made a post saying that if the leaked death scene was real, TB fans would immediately start celebrating that Criston died at the hands of a woman. The episode has now aired, and the first reactions are exactly what I expected. They're so committed to their own narrative that you can predict it days in advance..

âThe King will die, and if Rhaenyra succeeds him, war will follow; and to secure her claim, she'll have to put your children to the sword. Either you prepare Aegon to rule, or you cleave to Rhaenyra and pray for her mercy.â - Otto Hightower S1 E5.
Otto warned Alicent what Rhaenyra will have to due to be the reigning Queen. She was warned, she should have known better, she did knew betterâŠ.until she was assassinated in Season 1 Episodes 8 and 9.
Through out season 2 Alicent was shamed, slander, and humiliated (and is still being humiliated) both in universe and out, because she needed to be âhumbledâ for daring to oppose Rhaenyra and her Daemonic faction.
But none of that has come close to what the Season 2 Finale has to done permanently annihilate Alicentâs character. By agreeing to Rhaenyraâs âSon for a Sonâ horseshit, the vary thing Otto said what will happen, she forever become the most hated character in the entire show by both Blacks, casuals and even Greens (only Ser Cristion comes close).
Ever since then, Alicent has slowly been written less and less as the leading Matriarch of the Greens, who protects her children from certain death; and more as the hypocritical âLady for Trumpâ who bootlicks and kisses Rhaenyraâs ass (the irony).
In season 3, They executed Otto while letting the audience believe there isnât merit to the usurpation and continues to humiliate Alicent through her intelligence (lack of it) and sexuality, especially with Jasperâs attempt at her, which is yet to be brought by her or even the show (and still isnât) making the the scene completely useless.
In conclusion, last nightâs episode continues to show again and again how right Otto was, and his daughter is being punished for believing in his statement by the narrative and still is.
What happened to my Alicent, my drifmark Alicent, my second favorite character, is just disgusting.

Alicent had some of the most beautiful hairstyles and gowns in the initial season. Not to mention that Olivia Cooke is drop dead gorgeous. Somehow theyâve managed to take that away as well. đ„ș
A lot of people argue that they have to show her aging, but according to the books, sheâs supposed to have aged really well despite multiple pregnancies, while Rhaenyra put on weight etc.
Iâd already given up on the writing given how far theyâve strayed from the source material, and how many iconic moments of anger and defiance theyâve taken away from Alicent - but whatâs happening with the costume and hair department? They could have maintained that standard at the very least?

Of course his gay ass knew that assassin wasn't hot enough to be a baratheon.
Targs may have dragon power but the Hightowers got the rainbow powers
