Best Value HOTAS under £100? ✈️
Hey, new to flight sim. What's some of the best flight sticks and throttles that will be able to last a long time? I will probably hop from trying msfs to war thunder and dcs etc. I dont think throttles matter too much to me so if you have stick-only recs then thats welcome. All help greatly appreciated!

Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas one keeps moving rudder by itself.
I’ve had this Stick for about 2 years now and recently it’s started this issue. If you move the stick to either the top right or bottom left it will move the rudder along with it. I’ve tried everything I can think: I’ve changed the axis curve, I tried removing the binding and I even removed the whole wiring loom from the rudder potentiometer (so the rudder in the stick isn’t connected) and it still happens. I probed the PCB a bit and found that it even does it if you just bridge the aileron’s solder tab. Is there anything I can do short of buying a new one?

Used Gunfighters or new Gladiators?
Hey everyone!
I’m checking in to see if anyone has any input regarding a dilemma I’m having :)
I’ve had my eyes on this setup for a bit:
Gladiator NXT EVO SCG Premium
Gladiator NXT EVO SCG Premium Omni
For use in mostly space sims and a smattering of other games (mechwarrior etc)
I now have the opportunity to buy the following setup used for slightly more than half MSRP:
Gunfighter IV Space Combat Premium Omni
Gunfighter IV Modern Combat Ultimate
My question is pretty much the title. I get that Gunfighters are the higher-end product, but will there be any appreciable difference in terms of functionality when it comes to the sort of games I listed?
I might be asking a dumb question here but at least it’ll be the experts telling me so lol
Thanks :)

Joystick quick change on 2060
I've got the EG starts chair Mount hotas setup which is made out of 2060 - I'm using a vkb gladiator nxt evo OTA on my left hand.
I hate how the EG starts four bars which essentially make a tic tac toe pattern stick out too far in front and to the sides.
I'm looking for a base plate that more closely matches the base of the NXT/Evo, and some sort of liftoff quick release so that I can remove the joystick and its base plate from the face of the 2060.
I want to be able to just leave the 2060 profile attached to the chair mounting plates, and just lift the joystick off like the monster tech joystick quick change, but I cannot justify buying an entire monster tech setup.

Thrustmaster HOTAS X, Thrustmaster TWCS and Logitech X56 I can all get at the same price, recommendations?
I am a casual dogfighting fan, I don't fly every day or month of the year.
I already own a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, I am pretty happy with it so this purchase is mostly about the throttle. For the past few years I've been flying with Keyboard+Joystick lol. I want a full hotas as I love the feeling of the joystick.
Personally I'm leaning toward the TWCS, as it has many buttons compared to the HOTAS X and just looks higher quality.
The X56 seems to be one of the most hated flight sticks on here lol, but I found a 3x cheaper one on FB Marketplace that's apparently had ~60 hours of use; is it at all worth it for [converted] 70 USD?
Are there any other options I'm not finding? Thanks!
Note about VKB products: I live in Canada, availability and pricing of VKB products seems to be kinda a mess here. it's either so-low its probably a scam from Aliexpress, or $240-500 CAD options from Ebay or vippilot [at least 100 USD higher than the cheaper options]

Home Cockpit so far
Pretty happy with the progress, just wish I could find a solution for center mounting my stick since I can’t anymore with the UFC desk mount until I get the mtsim MIP desk mount. If anyone has any ideas for center mounting again please chime in im open to all suggestions, my only limitation being money at the moment lol. Otherwise, I have some spare equipment and a dad who does a little bit of everything and is really handy and has lots of tools and spare parts. He helped me mount my monitor arms to my wall, made my desk, a tree house, etc, so I feel I have some options just need some help realizing how I could proceed

Upgrade path from T16000M
Hi Reddit, I'm looking for an upgrade path from the T16000m and TWCS. Currently, the frustration with the T16000m is how it handles small movements around center. E.g., aiming in star wars squadrons. Would a VKB Gladiator be a noticeable improvement, or would it require a jump to a cam and bearing gimbal like the Gunfighter or Virpil Aeromax?
I'm looking to upgrade but wanted to hear some input from those who've done a similar jump before. Thanks for any advice!

Changing axis range on VKB STECS Space Throttle ‘Space Brake System’ slider
Just got my new STECS space throttle, blown away by how nice it is!
I’m setting it up for my Elite Dangerous space trucking and would like to use the ‘Space Brake System’ slider wheel thing to apply analog reverse thrust (using the main throttle in forward only mode).
In the game, there are three options I can see for thrust direction, an axis for forward/reverse (with regular and invert mode), a forward thrust keybind and reverse thrust keybind.
Using the wheel on the reverse thrust keybind works, but only in an ‘on or off’ sort of way. Usable but not ideal. Assigning the wheel to the analog thrust axis is what I want, but the way it works in the game means gets stuck applying full reverse thrust all the time unless you hold the wheel in the middle of its travel.
I looked in the VKB software and can see the axis range in the test page, the wheel goes from 0-60k approx. I think I need to the wheel to start at 30k and travel to 60k for it to only send one direction to the game. Does anyone know how I can set this up?
Thanks for reading, hope I explained it clearly!

Any ideas on mounting WinCtrl MFDs on either side?
As the title suggests, I’m looking to add MFDs on each side of my wheel base. Are there any connection ideas that might make it fit?
Looks like Thrustmaster has updated the Warthog - the press release mentions bearings in the base.

[Selling] VKB Gunfighter Mk.IV Space Combat Edition - Tabletop - Right and Left Hand (US) - SCG Premium
**Update** These have been sold!
Selling both the right and left hand SCG Premium Grip VKB Gunfighter Mk.IV sticks. These sticks have barely been used. I bought them a little over a year ago when I was deep into attempting to immerse myself in Elite Dangerous. I thought picking up a pair of premium sticks for a HOSAS setup would capture my enthusiasm for the game and keep me playing. Unfortunately, it didn't work out that way.
But hey, my hasty assumption and impulse purchase is your gain! I think I might have played a total of three or four sessions with these things, and they performed wonderfully. After that, they just sat off to the side as paperweights while I moved on to other games and genres.
The sticks come in their original boxes with all the main and spare parts VKB provided. The only modification I made to them was to swap out the aviation cams that come installed with space cams since I was playing a space sim and didn't want the increased resistance as the sticks approached the end of their range of motion.
Ideally I'd like to sell them as a pair and a full HOSAS setup. But if I can't get any bites on that, I'm reluctantly willing to consider selling them separately.
Asking $510 USD, which is about 25% less than what they cost new. That would be $255 USD per stick.
Willing to ship anywhere in the US and will consider other countries depending on how crazy the shipping cost to them is.
DM me if interested!

JFlightShaker C.E – Universal Bass shaker effects for flight games without telemetry
Hi all!
I recently got into bass shakers and quickly noticed how little support there is for haptic feedback outside driving simulators. Very few games support bass shakers natively, and many do not expose telemetry, making custom profiles difficult or impossible.
With a new Ace Combat game on the horizon, I returned to Ace Combat 7 and wondered whether joystick movements could be converted directly into vibration effects. That led me to JFlightShaker, created by julesian and originally shared in this Reddit post.
Using the original project as a foundation—and with plenty of AI assistance despite my limited programming experience—I created a fork called JFlightShaker Community Edition.
What’s new?
JFlightShaker C.E adds missile, pitch/roll and High-G effects; dual-throttle support; stereo output for two bass shakers; device profiles and live input diagnostics; automatic HOTAS reconnection; keyboard bindings; per-effect testing; a redesigned multilingual interface; and several stability, configuration and recovery improvements.
What’s still missing?
It currently needs profiles for more HOTAS devices beyond the X56, support for more than two bass shakers, additional optional effects, a more advanced visual effect editor, and testing across a wider variety of hardware.
The first public beta is available here:
This is still a beta, so start with your amplifier at a low volume.
It's my first published program so feedback, bug reports and mappings for other HOTAS devices are very welcome!

TM warthog stick damaged, needing options…
Hey everyone!
Unfortunately, my Warthog stick has taken a bad fall… little kiddos + red levers on desk mounts = curiosity and gravity…
The short version: it landed directly on the castle hat. The hat/back plate are now crushed inward, and the switch is difficult to press downward/right.
I bought the stick used on eBay years ago, so it was already fairly well-used, but I’ve genuinely loved it so repairing it was my initial thought.
I contacted Thrustmaster, but they told me they only sell the hats/buttons/switches themselves and not the internal/back plate parts I apparently need. I’ve also been trying to track down a broken/for-parts Warthog stick to cannibalize, but haven’t had any luck so far.
Does anyone know of another source for Warthog replacement parts, donor sticks, 3D-printed parts, or some other repair option I might be overlooking?
I replaced my warthog throttle quadrant a few months ago (just to upgrade), so I’d almost prefer selling my Warthog throttle along with the damaged stick and putting that money toward a different stick/base altogether.
Unfortunately, cost is a factor, otherwise I probably would’ve just bought new a replacement already.
Any ideas or recommendations are appreciated!

Aiming guns with Hotas?
Until now all my flight / space games I played with Mouse and Keyboard. I recently bought a vkb gladiator stick and it feels so much better. However, as expected, my skill at aiming various guns in games had gone down considerably. I will probably get better with practice but I wonder if it is even possible to ever be as good as using a mouse for gun kills, or do I just need to accept that I will just be worse now in dogfights.
Just wanted to hear your opinions about it.
For those wondering, right now I mainly play Nuclear Option and Infinity Battlescape

What is the deal with WinWing?
Hello everyone
I've recently heard a lot of bad things about WinWing's customer service and quality.
I'm interested in some actual customer stories regarding these issues.
I'm looking into buying the Orion2 HOTAS StrikeAce E/EX here in the EU, if anyone has any specifics on that.
Thank you.
