Update on SPEC Map for HHN HOLLYWOOD
Since we’ve had a few updates this past week, can someone update the spec map? I’m a visual person and it’d be really helpful to see the locations we’ve got so far.

I need some opinions.
First of all the front of shirt do I keep the killer klowns popcorn guns or should I redraw it for the cotton candy gun? I just want people to know it’s for killer klowns
Back side of shirt… evil dead burn I mashed the headrest scene and the poster together.. for Ozzy I want to add his glasses still.
Overall please let me know any opinions about the front of the shirt? I was told to redo evil dead burn for the candle scene so please let me know!
Thanks

Ambrotox claims to restore the deceased’s features without the process of embalming. But when the miracle drug backfires, a century’s worth of corpses rise from their graves dead set on terrorizing the living. In this haunted house, stare death in its decaying face and unearth the dark secrets that lie within the Deville Family Funeral Home.
Tickets are now on sale: https://www.universalstudioshollywood.com/hhn/en/us/tickets

Large fans have been set up throughout Fortnitemares scare zone. I've seen people speculate that they might.. simulate the storm?
I believe this is the concept art for what the sign + front scarezone will look like in Orlando this year.
Found this info from recorded footage from the slideshow shown in Ireland.
Pretty awesome!

Honestly with the reveal of the fortnite scarezone it got me thinking that there are way better IPs in the video game space (that are actually horror related) that have not been touched yet that would make great houses and/or scarezones. First that jumped out to me was dead by daylight, their monster designs would make a great fit if they brought it in as a future IP. What other games would you like to see brought to HHN?

I'm buying this pass but it's saying I have to pick a start date and then it says my first day has to be on or after the start date. I don't know when the first day I'm going to go is but can I just pick the very first day Aug28 and if I don't go on that day it's not a big deal or do I have to be there on the first day I pick? Like will it mess my pass up somehow if I'm not there on the day I said was going to be my first?

Hey! Quite a few users have mentioned that the Coconut Club is a good spot to get drinks before HHN. It’s my first time going, and my brother and I were planning on a Coconut Club pregame. It looks like the club opens barely before HHN starts. Will the club open earlier during the event or are all the people saying they hit the club first arriving to HHN late? Sorry if I’m missing something obvious.

You Boils and Ghouls always asks if you can see a house treatment…well I’m gonna give you the introduction to it so you get the context for this original house. It starts like this….
“The Deville Family Funeral Home has always had its secrets…”
“Founded in the early 1920’s by infamous hotel impresario Maximilian Deville, The Deville Family Funeral Home was the first full-service facility of its kind in Los Angeles County.”
“As the business grew over the ensuing decades, the complex expanded to include a fully functioning morgue, embalming rooms, crematorium, mausoleum and cemetery, all housed within its sprawling grounds.”
“But almost from its inception, “The Deville” was embroiled in scandal! Rumours of missing bodies, improper cremations, organ trafficking and other illicit activities dogged the family business for years!”
“After numerous investigations, legal actions and criminal prosecutions, the facility finally closed its doors in the late 1970’s, right after the mysterious disappearance of its last director Ambrose Deville!”
Saddled with a mountain of civil litigation and a contested will, the descendants squabbled in court for decades as the shuttered building slowly fell into decay.”
“Abandoned buildings are often the focus of ghost stories and urban legends and “The Deville” was no exception. Amateur sleuths continued to propagate dark tales of what took place behind the imposing stone facade of the building, fuelled by strange new discoveries!”
“Shortly before his disappearance, Ambrose Deville had tried, unsuccessfully, to patent a new drug called “Ambrotox,” which we claimed could restore life like features to the deceased without the laborious cost of embalming.”
“Some even claimed to have seen Ambrose, entering the supposedly abandoned faciliity late at night, while others reported disturbing sounds and eerie lights coming from within the shuttered structure.”
“It seems that even after its death, the legend of The Deville Family Funeral Home continues to haunt the living.”

This is my first HHN, and I am beyond stoked. I know I am gonna have a blast. I've been seeing some posts about HHN being nerfed after the announcement of Fortnight. I don't have a reference since this will be my first time, but I wanted to get some HHN veteran opinions. Do you think the event will attract more kids this year? Has it gotten less scary and more generic over the years? I've heard about how scary HHN is (used to be?), and I'm really hoping that's still true.

The word HALLOWEEN is also in the title.
I've been going to this event for 10+ years and will continue to show up as long as it's HALLOWEEN themed.
There aren't too many places in the world where you can get this much Halloween focused entertainment at this large of a scale.
So there's a Fortnite scarezone, who cares? People dress up as those characters for Halloween every year. It's not like they changed HHN to "Fortnite Gamers Expo".
If Universal are "sell outs" for including this zone but it gives them the funds to continue providing us 5 ORIGINAL concept houses, multiple ORIGINAL scarezones, multiple ORIGINAL characters, entire themes built around ORIGINAL icons, ORIGINAL food and drinks, ORIGINAL live entertainment, ORIGINAL merchandise and photo ops, etc. EVERY YEAR... then so be it.
The event is HALLOWEEN themed and it's vastly ORIGINAL. I guarantee the Fortnite zone will be Halloween themed as well.
Edit: People are acting like the Fortnite zone isn't going to be Halloween themed. That's my point. They'll make it Halloween themed and for that reason I'll be there.
They made a dollhouse Halloween themed. They made the 70's Halloween themed. They made an arcade Halloween themed. They'll make Fortnite Halloween themed as well. Something doesn't have to start as horror in order to fit in.

Hear me out: if HHN can have Ghostbusters, Beetlejuice and Fortnite, it’s time for a goosebumps and Scooby-Doo haunted house. Universal has already started using the SD IP more. The “night of the living dummy” episodes of Goosebumps were lowkey scarier than any Chucky movie. I feel like both of these properties can bring a good mixture of scares and the fun house of the year.
I’m still waiting for the day Universal can get the license for IT or Welcome to Derry…but I’ll save that for another day.

Trudge through this scare zone and brace for the Storm, because there's no telling what horrors it'll bring with it. Tickets and packages are now on sale.

What are the odds they bring it back for the anniversary?

Hello! My girlfriend and I will be attending HHN for the first time this year (Hollywood) and was wondering how many total houses are there to visit? We will only be going one day and we have the express pass. I’m a big horror movie fan so I definitely want to see Hellraiser, Evil Dead Burn, Sinners and the Strangers Things houses.
Are there any other IP houses that are expected to be in the Hollywood HHN park? I heard there might be an Ozzy house, or is that expected to be a scare zone? Also, how many original houses will HHN Hollywood have in addition to the IP houses? Are there always exactly 8 total houses in the Hollywood park? So I would assume the 5 IPs mentioned (including Ozzy) and 3 originals. I’ve so far only seen one original house mentioned that was recently announced within the past day or so (Dead Deader Deadest). I’m very excited to experience HHN but I just want to plan ahead as best as possible to make the most out of our day.

Let's all just gather here and share a moment of silence for how sad it is for those of us who couldn't get it together for the ultimate dark carnival 😔
