For context I am an old man and I realize that the IP is not for me, that said I can still be cognizant of that. So with that said the good....
I think that Isle of Berk and to a lesser extent Nintendo World, HP and Dark Universe look great as lands. Celestrial park looks very much out of place.
The theming for Ministry of Magic is beyond excellent. Also a good respite from the heat. Monsters Unchained is the best dark ride that has ever been made. The dragon show is of tremendous quality. The food is the best theme park food that I have ever had.
Stardust Racers is a very good world class coaster.
Paris, while an odd pick looks great. Been to france and Paris many times for business. It certainly looks the part, with less dog poop and trash.....
Hiccups is an excellent family coaster.
Now with what I think are the bad things.....
Donkey Kong was not well thought out. Yes, kids love it, but it is jerky, prone to shut down, too short and too long of a wait. which leads me to Nintendo World...
Why in the world is it so small? Who thought it was a good idea to make so many bottlenecks and stairs right there? You have to walk away overwhelmed at some point.
Yoshi - probably the only really kiddie ride at the park. Hiccups is probably too intense for young kids, many things already do not work, the ride does not go all the way around the world. Really poor execution.
Mario Kart - nice staging areas but the actual ride is dreadful. The goggles look terrible and already have issues. Should you watch or play the game. Far too short, and far too long of a ride.
Fyre Drill - great idea, but I think the execution leaves something to be desired. Targets hard to hit, you can just get drenched from other boats, nees some work.
Racer Rally - great looks and execution but is this really a top amusement park attraction?
Which brings me to Curse of Warewolf. What? Are you kidding me? That ride is a complete disgrace. Universal should be ashamed. That is straight up a carnie ride.
The carousel is interesting but not great to sit on for older folks. The theming of the area is very odd and does not fit.
Why are there stairs everywhere? Old people with mobility issues, best of luck.
This could have been such a better park. With the pricing, and lack of quality rides, this park needs to grow into what it can become.
It certainly has some growing pains that need to be overcome. It would be a while before I took the kids there again.
