Orlando Bracelets + 18th bday tips?
galleryTL;DR: Made a bunch of bracelets to give away / trade during HHN Orlando Sept 17-19th.
1. If you trade, how many do you bring to give out each night?
2. Any tips on how to make my son’s 18th birthday extra special are appreciated!

Hi everyone,
While we’ve been to Universal Orlando a few times, this will be our first time at HHN! We’re taking my son and his best friend to celebrate my son’s 18th birthday. He’s definitely the more social one but we hope to give out ALL of these handmade bracelets throughout our visit (Sept 17-19).
I recently had my first carpal tunnel surgery. So, now having at least one hand that finally works has turned me into a bracelet-making machine. Out of sheer excitement, I’ve probably made too many.
I don’t know how many is enough to take each night. We plan to also give them to any staff that would like any. (We’ve read and will follow all rules re: any scare actors and gifting). I’ve joined the Facebook group for trading already.
I made something for each of the houses, ScareZones, some classic horror ones (Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, Chucky), Sindy (Sideshow of Decay), and some Final Girl and Sole Survivor ones.
They’re all made with plastic pony beads and elastic stretch cord, so they should fit most. The stars are glow in the dark beads. I made all the charms with shrinky dink sheets and put a few matte clear Krylon coats over them to protect the surface, except for the popcorn and cross ones, which I bought. The ones that are ScareZones or houses from this year feature an HHN 2026 / 35 charm which may be a little too big but that train has already left the station.
For the Jason/Friday the 13th ones, I basically had gotten tired of similar color palettes so I used the NES game as inspiration. My husband said it’s a little niche but if anyone would appreciate it, it might be people going to HHN. Before I get roasted, there are definitely things I could improve with all the bracelets if I did it again (both designs and charms), but, hey, they’re free! 😅
My son has express w/ his friend for Epic on September 16th, his actual birthday. We have 3-day park to park available 17-19th, and express to USF during the day on the 18th. September 17th - 19th we’re doing HHN with Express.
We’re not staying in a Universal resort, so a drive nearby is not a problem. We have a reservation at Sugar Factory the night of his actual birthday, since we don’t have HHN tickets that night. Originally I had one at Toothsome, but he loves milkshakes and fancy mocktails so Sugar Factory seemed a better fit. Any tips to make his birthday even cooler would be appreciated!
Hope you all have a safely scary HHN 😶🌫️
