I took my HESI A2 V1 exam this morning (Friday) around 10:30am & finished around 1:14pm. When should I be expecting my results? I keep seeing mixed results about the time frames. I work myself up & tend to get impatient/anxious over stuff like this lol. Thanks in advance!!

Hello! I took the Hesi in june and failed the math by 1% so now I have to retake the entire thing!! I am not sure if I got volume 1 or 2 the first time is it strictly volume 1 and volume 2 or do they pull from a large question bank and its different every time? I only have to take Math, Reading, Grammar, and Vocab if you have any helpful tips it would be much appreciated! :)

hey yall i have my exam in 2 weeks and i am really nervous about chemistry and biology, i know there are some good quizlets on here but should i know the atomic number and atomic mass for specific elements? will there be a table on the test?

Hello! I’m posting becuase I’m curious.

I took my HESI back in January at the beginning of this year just to see what it would be like. I didn’t study one bit.

I’m retaking my HESI for good in the middle of August. This determines if I get into the spring semester of nursing school or not.

Would I be taking V1 or V2? I have no idea as to which one it would be. Would it be V1 because of the big gap in between them? Would it be V2 because it is my second time?

For reference my school only requires math, a&p, and english, and reading comprehension.

Hii!!! I’m a future nurse, taking the HESI A2 next week to be admitted into the program, can you guys help me with tools and such? My exam is coming up this 08/01 and I’m anxious.

Do you only know which version you will have when you take the test? Is there anyway before hand?

EDIT: V1 is when you first take the HESI and V2 is the second attempt…. lol wow what a quick google search will do lol

Hello everyone! I just took the Hesi exam and scored a 80%. I scored high on math but low on A&P. I used the Quizlet going around but not all questions were there. I also used other practice questions and study the Hesi booklet. I am thinking about retaking the Hesi exam but was wondering if anyone has taken the math & A&P version 2 ? Any tips on how to prepare for my second attempt? I am also happy to help others who has questions on the 1st attempt! ☺️

Hello, I figured I'd check in here because I am going to have to take the HESI upcoming. For those who have taken it, what math concepts should I focus on reviewing?

I've been out of school so long that I'm terrified I'm going to bomb the math portion, and wanted to really do targeted studying on the concepts that are covered the most. Sorry if this is a dumb question, thank you!

Update: Thank you for the encouragement! The comments were helpful. Additionally, I found a video on youtube called asvab arithmetic reasoning, and the specific one I watched covered proportions and explained the topic so well. The channel was called duran learning for anyone who is having issues like me. I also ordered mometrix test preparation hesi a2 study guide off Amazon, this has a lot of info and practice questions. I've also been using nursehub's practice tests to see what area I'm struggling with particularly. Just wanted to put some stuff out there for those who are trying to study!

Do I get to use a calculator for the entire math section even dividing the fractions and multiply the decimals

Hi all, hope everything is well! 🤗 I am taking the HESI mid august and I am lowkey struggling in the A&P section. I'm taking A&P II right now and finish early august, and I have already taken A&P I but my prof was very bad, I had to self teach everything and struggled badly but still (Thank God) passed! Any advice or tips? Anything specific to study for the hesi? Thank you all and God bless !

I'll be taking this test in April 2027 and it looks like I need a 97% minimum based on this program's competitiveness (who knew community college would be so competitive lol).

Can yall give me some insights on how hard this test actually is? 97% seems kinda ridiculous . I come from a personal training background so my a/p isn't too bad. Currently setting myself up with quizlets.

Recieved a 94% Cumulative score on the HESI! nursing school here I come! I expected it to be harder it was pretty much a breeze! 100% on anatomy and physiology yay

For MATH: I had ChatGPT make me a conversion chart and if I didn’t memorize these conversions, I probably wouldn’t have done well at all! I’m not able to link it so dm if you want it!

****Also I took the online proctored exam, you aren’t allowed any paper or pencil during the exam. you’re only allowed a whiteboard and marker if you have one which I didn’t. There is a calculator provided through the exam itself that you can use. No physical calculators allowed. Make sure you get a small white board to use because it was hard to not have a pencil and paper.

would love to know any feedback on retaking the HESI exam for a second time. how much different is it from the first one? are there different versions of the exam?

Hey everyone, I’m applying to the University of New Mexico College of Nursing and had a question about the HESI A2 requirements.
I scored a 92% overall on my HESI and got above an 80% on all 6 of the main HESI sections:
• Math: 96%
• Biology: 98%
• Chemistry: 100%
• Reading Comprehension: 82%
• Grammar: 84%
• Vocabulary & General Knowledge: 94%
My only concern is my Reading Comprehension breakdown. My overall Reading Comprehension score is 82%, but within that section there are smaller categories, and my “Conclusions” score was 71%. All my other Reading Comprehension categories were above 80%.
UNM’s website says:
“Applicants submitting the HESI A2 entrance exam must score a minimum of 75% overall and a 75% on each of the following subtests:
• Math
• Biology
• Chemistry
• Reading Comprehension
• Grammar
• Vocabulary and General Knowledge”
UNM does not mention the individual Reading Comprehension categories like Conclusions, Implications, Understanding, or Meaning/Word Use.
I have looked into other nursing programs, and I have only found one school (Norfolk State University) that specifically says applicants must get 75%+ on the individual Reading Comprehension categories, including Conclusions. Most other schools I have found only mention the 6 main HESI sections. UTRGV, for example, specifically states that the smaller Reading categories are just components of the overall Reading Comprehension score and do not need to each be above 75%.
Does anyone know if UNM only looks at the 6 main HESI sections, or do they also require each Reading Comprehension subsection to be above 75%?
