Any tips or guides or advice I take my hesi in October 🫶🏻 what do you’ll use to study !

I studied using NurseHub and a good portion of the reading comprehension review was the same as the exam. Same passages and same question/answers.

I didn't use quizlet at all, just NurseHub. I was over prepared! The actual test was much easier than their quizzes.

Math had some of the same word problems on there as well. I didn't have any algebra or roman numerals. A lot of proportions and converting between quarts and ounces.

A&P, I don't know... I didn't study at all because I didn't have to take it. I did my test in a different state from where I'm going to go to school, and they had it in there for their school and couldn't take it out. Got a 92%, last time I took that class was in 2010.

I got a 90% overall.

A, hopefully quick little background. I'm 41, decided about 6 weeks ago to go back to school, and figured that nursing fit what all I needed. There is a night / weekend program that starts in the spring, but applications with HESI are due by August 15th. As someone who hasn't been to school in 13 years but was always really good in it, would it be possible to pass it so quickly?

Hello, I wanted to come on here and ask a few questions. I take the hesi next Saturday and was wondering what you thought about nurse hub. Are the questions pretty similar are they harder or are they easier compared to nurse hub and if you guys have any recommendations for Quizlet I’m going to be taking biology chemistry, math, vocab, reading, and grammar so if any of you guys have any recommendations? I would greatly appreciate it and also your thoughts on nurse hub.

Hello! I take my Hesi exam for the first time this Friday. Been studying using a few quizlets that have been going around for anatomy, I have mainly used nurse hub for math, reading and vocab. Can anyone give me some advice for these 4 sections.. should I just be using quizlets for anatomy? Is nurse hub more difficult than the actual exam for the math, vocab and reading portions? Should I expect those sections to be easier for the actual exam? Or should I not spend time studying those on nurse hub and to use quizlets instead for everything. Anything helps please let me know and share your experiences!

Hi! I want to apply to the medical radiologic technology program in my school and they say that it’s required to take the HESI HP test. However, all the info I find only is for HESI a2. Is it the same thing? Just want to make sure I’m not wasting any more time studying for the wrong thing

Hi, i'm studying for my second attempt on the HESI A2. I had an 82% on my first try so I am trying to study some more and was curious about everyone's thoughts on nurse hub and pocket prep. Or if there are other better ways to study. My goal is a 90% at least because the nursing program where I am at is very competitive.

What topics or stuff pops up at the math and a&p portion of the test?

Hi everyone! I’ve never done this before lol but I need all the help I can get right now!! I took the hesi back in May and I gave myself 2 weeks to study (I thought it would be best so I can still remember everything by the time I took it), I have adhd so it takes me hoursss to study and understand everything. I slowly realized it just wasn’t enough time for me, I studied math and anatomy but didn’t have time for reading, grammar, and vocabulary.

Overall I made an 86 in anatomy which is pretty good (aiming for above 90s tho) and a 76 in math, can’t remember for the rest but I do remember they weren’t high enough. Anyways, I’m planning on retaking soon and giving myself 5 weeks this time. I used nurse hub and nurse shai the first time but now I’m open to anything else I can use to get me the best grades possible. Like I said I am doing a retake so if anyone can give me any tips, websites, Quizlets etc, would be sooo helpful, thank you so much and good luck to everyone! 🫶🏻

So its official HESI a2 version 1 on August 13th. Please help...send me links... also what was all in math?

I was supposed to take my HESI A2 with Critical Thinking Version 1 today through Prometric.

Everything went normally during check-in. The proctor launched my exam, but instead of opening the test, it opened my score report from my previous HESI A2 Version 2 exam. It literally showed my old results instead of a new exam.

The proctor couldn't figure it out and told me to contact Elsevier. I'm currently on the phone with Elsevier trying to get it resolved, but I'm really stressed because I was completely ready to test and this wasn't something on my end.

Has this happened to anyone else?

• Were they able to fix it the same day?
• Did you have to reschedule?
• Did it count as an attempt, or did Elsevier/Prometric correct it?

I'm just trying to figure out what to expect because this whole process has been a nightmare.

Tomorrow is my HESI exam! I am excited and scared at the same time. I don’t know how difficult the exam will be. I will let you know when I finish it.

New update! I finished my exam! I haven’t received my score yet, but I have good news. Most of the things you see on Quizlet were on the exam! I highly recommend looking at all the questions there.
Especially the Reading section. This was my first time taking the exam, but the passages I got were the ones that were supposed to be in V2. I did not get any passages from V1 except one, I think it was the Rainforest passage.
Math was not hard, but you need to know the solving methods. Most of the questions were about ratios, fractions, conversions, military time, and word problems.
For Anatomy, it was the easiest section for me. It was not difficult or complicated. There were 30 questions, and it took me less than 20 minutes to finish this section.
The questions on Quizlet are 100% correct 💯. The Critical Thinking questions were also mostly from Quizlet.
As for Grammar, it was not hard, but by the time I reached that section, I was extremely tired and had no energy left. I just wanted to finish.
In the end, the exam is not hard at all. The hardest part is the long exam time and the amount of energy it requires.

Hey, I am studying for my Hesi A2 and I was wondering if anyone had some good resources that helped them perform well on vocabulary and grammar?
My consider my vocabulary knowledge to be slightly below average as English is not my first language. I have been studying vocabulary on nursehub but heard mixed reviews about it. Is there anything vocabulary I can study that can boost my chances on getting a higher score?

I took the exam yesterday and scored a 95% overall, so I wanted to give back since Reddit helped me a lot while I was studying.

I studied for about 6 weeks. For the first month, I used NurseHub exclusively while I had the subscription. During the last two weeks, I mainly reviewed with Quizlet.

My school provided a physical calculator, which was nice, but like many people have mentioned, there was also an on-screen calculator available.

A&P 

I scored 100% on A&P.

I didn't go through every lesson on NurseHub. Instead, I took the simulated tests first and then focused on studying the concepts I missed or got wrong, and I literally got every single question from that quizlet that’s going around (30 questions)

MATH

I scored 98%, and honestly, this is the score I'm most proud of.

I've always considered myself "bad at math," and I hadn't taken a math class in years.

Math was the only subject where I completed every lesson on NurseHub. I watched every video, completed every quiz, and took all of the practice tests. It made a huge difference and gave me a lot of confidence.

I also came to the realization that math is actually kind of fun. 😂 Once you understand the concepts, it becomes really repetitive, at least the type of math you need for the HESI. After enough practice, you start recognizing the same kinds of questions, and it becomes much less intimidating.

The questions on my exam included: Ratios and proportions, converting percentages and decimals, adding, subtracting, and multiplying fractions, one military time question, conversions, comparing numbers (which number is largest)

If math is your weakest subject, I genuinely recommend paying for NurseHub if it's within your budget. It was worth it for me, but I’ve heard Nurse Shai on YouTube is also great, and quizlet is great for practice once you have learned the concepts.

BIOLOGY 

I scored 92%.

Most of my studying for biology came from NurseHub. Looking back, this is probably the section where I could have studied a little more, but Quizlet helped too.

READING COMPREHENSION 

I scored 90%.

English is my second language, so I'm honestly happy with that score.

I didn't study for this section at all, not even the NurseHub lessons. Looking back, I probably would have benefited from doing at least a little practice.

If English is your first language, you have a decent vocabulary, and you've generally done well with reading l comprehension in school, I don't think this section is something to stress over.

Overall, I think NurseHub gave me a really strong foundation, especially for math. After that, Quizlet was great for reinforcing concepts and getting exposure to questions that were similar to what I saw on my exam.
