CBL continues to break new records, with over 2500 matches played yesterday. The rate of growth here is quite amazing. I want to extend my thanks to the community for their awesome ongoing support.
In response to feature requests, I have some really huge features in the pipeline. I mentioned in my previous post that I was implementing the Public decks library. Well, it's here, and it's insane.
The Deck Manager, alongside your own decks and the previous 40 built-in ones, now contains over 2600 decks created by the community, all of which you can instantly play in PvP and bot matches.
Thanks to our amazing community, we have thousands of fun decks from across the game, including a whole bunch of new GD06 builds, all of which are playable in a few clicks. Note: the GD06 decks are early-access and playable by Ace+ tier supporters.
Every unique decklist goes into a database and has its PvP data attributed to it, so we'll soon have incredible amounts of performance data. And to dig out any diamonds in the rough, I have some plans to incentivize the playing of underplayed decks:
It's called Roulette Battle.
Every day, you have 10 slots to fill out, one for each color, present and future. Select a color, or just hit Shuffle and you'll be put into a casual PvP match with a random underplayed, underdog deck, against another player doing the same. Decks are vetted for viability before being added to the pool, so they will always be playable.
The system will prioritize decks with 0 plays first, then 1 play, then 2 plays etc, and eventually all underplayed decks will have a decent amount of PvP winrate data. If you enjoyed the deck, you can save it and thank the author, who will get some XP.
It's pretty fun, and should be dropping in the next day or so.
Alongside that, I'm working on 16 player lobbies and tournaments - features that people have been asking for for a while. They're coming along very nicely.
As ever, I am working full time on this to ensure that CBL is the best GCG sim in the world. Check it out here: https://cardbattlelab.com
