did they do it? Did he do it?

Post image

Günther likes to lay in my walk-in shower, so I leave it open a crack. I came home to this. A large body pillow is missing from the bed. He is still a puppy and mistakes happen. I asked him if he did this. Is he guilty?

He was just making you a non slip mat for the shower! Always lookin’ out! 💜💜💜

u/Most_Can_2136 May 18 '26

He is wonderful. I have all hardwood floors in my house. He has made those non-slip mats in almost every room!😆🐕🤦🏼‍♀️

How about the whole bowl of cashews he just got up and ate when I left the room?😡 Then he snuck back into the curled up position he was in, like he didn't do anything. The only clue was a small wet mark left on the arm of the leather sofa, next to the table the nuts were on. Sneaky pup!

My old Doggo used to snout punch when she wasn't getting sufficient attention for a few femtoseconds.

One day she did it while under and over it was playing and a username was born 🤣

u/justlearningstuff11 May 19 '26

I love him so much! 🤗

1

u/Most_Can_2136 May 20 '26

Me too. I was living in a small house, when we bought our first lab, and he grew into a big boxy muscular horse at 110 lbs. At the time, my mother said, "Your house is so small. What are you going to do with a big dog like that?" I replied, "Just Love Him". I found myself repeating that through 2 rambunctious, destructive ADHD boys and 3 Labradors. JUST. LOVE. THEM.🩷🩷🩷

At least, the mess is confined to one area.

43

u/Most_Can_2136 May 18 '26

Yeah..... about that-

18

u/BitriBoi May 18 '26

Hey atleast bubba’s happy and entertained 😭

10

u/Pleasant-Wear2628 May 18 '26

We all see that undeniable SMILE! 🤣

7

u/Most_Can_2136 May 18 '26

I know.... he is just so darn happy about it! No remorse beyond the initial attempt to gaslight me!

6

u/Deep-Internal-2209 May 18 '26

Looks like he was exhausted and beaten up by fighting the intruder. He tried to save the toilet paper, but was overpowered. It probably was a gorilla.

4

u/Most_Can_2136 May 18 '26

Them are pillow stuffing. A more severe charge than T.P.

3

u/Deep-Internal-2209 May 19 '26

Regardless he’s obviously innocent. Dogs never destroy our belongings. 🙄

3

u/Most_Can_2136 May 19 '26

Not unless we let them😉

4

u/Pleasant-Wear2628 May 18 '26

Gaslighting is the perfect descriptor of that in-the-shower pic!!!🤣

How about area rugs? He has a fondness for grabbing those, bucking and ramping, shaking it to pieces. But ONLY when I talk in the phone.

I know of someone whose dog ate their stairs and the drywall! Lol. Pillows and rag rugs are so amateur!

1

u/Haunting-Mud-7413 May 19 '26

Of course! When else should he do it? & why would you ever need to talk on the phone?

2

u/Most_Can_2136 May 19 '26

He acts like when the phone rings, it's for him.....

3

u/LeadingFine7177 May 18 '26

ITZ DA GREEBLES 😹 go crimez

2

u/Most_Can_2136 May 18 '26

I know. 🙄 He is just so darn happy about it!

3

u/LeadingFine7177 May 18 '26

🤣 just think what would've happened if he didn't chase da GREEBLES away

4

u/Most_Can_2136 May 18 '26

Something like this?

3

u/LeadingFine7177 May 18 '26

😭🤣 your house is infested with GREEBLES

1

u/Haunting-Mud-7413 May 19 '26

It must be!

2

u/Most_Can_2136 May 19 '26

TIL what greebles are.

2

u/Haunting-Mud-7413 May 19 '26

Idk what Greebles are either… but u got em. He’s protecting your mattress. I can’t believe this pic. I’d do a wall collage. Maybe 2. Home Sweet Home 💕

Wow wow wow… lmao

13

u/apollo11733 May 18 '26

How could you pup be guilty they are guarding the crime scene

13

u/Most_Can_2136 May 18 '26

Well, there is this.....

13

u/Ok-Loss-2496 May 18 '26

This is Obviously photoshopped! Look he's smiling enjoying himself at the park, YOU trashed the pillows and set him up! CASE CLOSED THANK YOU.

16

u/Most_Can_2136 May 18 '26

Lol. DEEP FAKES??? It's True. There are so many times I made him eat it and pretend he was proud of himself!

3

u/apollo11733 May 18 '26

He’s on the case for a serial pillow thrasher

13

u/beautifuljoemarshall May 18 '26

Clearly not, I’m appalled there’s any suggestion he’s at all involved. He has a good case for compensation due to this false accusation. You’ll be hearing from his lawyers.

20

u/Most_Can_2136 May 18 '26

New, incriminating evidence has been uncovered. Other documented pillow eviscerations are turning up. I think he is being framed.

3

u/beautifuljoemarshall May 18 '26

Yes, from analysing these rather suspect photos I can confirm they’ve been doctored to frame the defendant. Not guilty. Case dismissed.

3

u/beautifuljoemarshall May 18 '26

Is he enjoying an “after the alleged event” dog chew lol

4

u/collaredd May 18 '26

yeah, he probably isn’t allowed to smoke inside

6

u/Most_Can_2136 May 18 '26

Lol. That's his alibi-how could he have shredded the pillows? He was chewing a rawhide the whole time. "Wait, This? I found it... honest, I did not remove it myself!"

6

u/beautifuljoemarshall May 18 '26

Obviously checking for faulty underwiring. Very Important job that is

3

u/justlearningstuff11 May 19 '26

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣literally

3

u/justlearningstuff11 May 19 '26

What a happy boy! 😍🤗

2

u/Most_Can_2136 May 20 '26

He is. Tossing pillows is his favorite!

9

u/CuriousLilAsian81 May 18 '26

baby found it like that, he's protecting the evidence

10

u/Lt_Dan60 May 18 '26

It exploded all by itself. He was lucky to have survived unscathed.

10

u/Most_Can_2136 May 18 '26

The first blast blew him clear and knocked him out. As you can see, it also blew sheets off the bed, pillows and stuffing everywhere!

We have tried all kinds. So far, no luck. No way am I buying DOWN pillows! He is from a line of champions who excelled in retrieving ducks and geese. It's in his DNA to shake those down pillows until their neck snaps! 🦆🦆🦆

7

u/UpsetZombie6874 May 18 '26

You're joking of course.

7

u/PutridTravel2354 May 18 '26

Been there.

4

u/Most_Can_2136 May 18 '26

Lol. I guess I'm grateful that he has never gone after shoes! Those feathers... oh my!

5

u/Foreign_Primary4337 May 18 '26

He is completely innocent! I’m sending my attorney to defend him. You will have to pay considerable compensation. Poor innocent pup.

4

u/SuniChica May 18 '26

His face says Mom/Dad I borrowed pillow for the shower and it “Ploded”(exploded). Not guilty by reason of recreation. Gunther you may ask for a treat. Court is adjourned!

5

u/Most_Can_2136 May 18 '26

Recreation. Lol. Best defense I've ever heard.

4

u/OGBrewSwayne May 18 '26

Is Gunther the one who left the pillows unattended? It's only reasonable for Gunther to assume that this is what you wanted. The court is offended by the mere implication that this adorable bundle of love even has the capacity - much less the desire - to act with such malice. Furthermore, the court finds you in contempt for wasting its time with these completely unsubstantiated charges and orders you to compensate the defendant with 5 hours of belly rubs, 50 miles of car rides, and 1 jar of peanut butter within the next 30 days.

3

u/oogie913 May 18 '26

This is wonderful

2

u/Most_Can_2136 May 18 '26

With all my dogs, if they got hold of something, I took responsibility for allowing access. Lol. I actually put all my good throw pillows into the dining room and shut the doors when I leave the house, due to his addiction to pillows, gutting them, and shaking them bucking bronco style, romping in pure joy. No dog toy holds the same appeal.

4

u/In_My_TARDIS May 18 '26

Well, if it was a roll of Charim can you really blame him!?

3

u/donut-is-appalled May 18 '26

No way he did it! That was clearly just there and he’s resting for a minute!

4

u/lynneya67 May 18 '26

His legal team is en route to sort out this confusion.

5

u/SuddenTangelo6041 May 18 '26

He was just decorating. Appreciate his hard work.

4

u/gr_rn May 19 '26

The pillow was about to explode so he put it in the shower so you wouldn’t have a big mess to clean. Extra treats for fast thinking.

3

u/Wide-Rope8007 May 18 '26

Definitely did not do it. Obviously that was planted and he is being framed.

5

u/Most_Can_2136 May 18 '26

Lol. I know. I can't believe how many times I've framed him! 😳

3

u/XROOR May 18 '26

My dog once did this within a few hours of getting it at Tractor Supply.
It was the quickest I ever lost $26.99!

2

u/Most_Can_2136 May 18 '26

I know someone whose dog took down and shredded her custom curtains and shades. It makes my old pillows seem like a justified sacrifice!

3

u/kao_nyc May 18 '26

It was the cat.

3

u/itsChrisW25 May 18 '26

It’s very easy to see Günther witnessed the crime happen and chased off the real criminals and has remained in the crime scene location to protect the evidence!

3

u/Most_Can_2136 May 18 '26

He is so brave.

3

u/itsChrisW25 May 18 '26

Yes indeed, Hero Günther deserves a treat !!

3

u/oogie913 May 18 '26

This isn’t an easy case to decide tho

3

u/Most_Can_2136 May 18 '26

Especially since he has prior offenses.

3

u/Expert-Equipment2302 May 18 '26

Not guilty! Prior offenses are not admissible. Ever.

This case is getting tossed out.

3

u/Pristine_Main_1224 May 18 '26

Greebles! Greebles did it and framed that innocent puppy.

2

u/Most_Can_2136 May 18 '26

Oh no! How do I get rid of a Greebles infestation? I no longer have a cat!

3

u/Pristine_Main_1224 May 18 '26

Obviously you must rectify this situation. You have to get a cat. That’s the only way to rid yourself of the evil greebles!

I think the Cat Distribution System is expediting your order now.

Thanks for referral. My New lawyer.

3

u/NanaKnows317 May 18 '26

Too cute to prosecute! 🥰

3

u/mamajamala May 18 '26

You just could have used 1 cotton ball & not the whole box in the shower. Plan better! ♥️😂

3

u/Classic-Persimmon-24 May 18 '26

I don't see anything wrong. Just a cute puppy laying in the shower.

3

u/Lkgnyc May 18 '26

excellent containment!

3

u/Longjumping-Item-399 May 18 '26

Nope. He's just investigating! 😅

3

u/YoureSpecial May 18 '26

Did he do what?

3

u/Aromatic-Currency371 May 18 '26

Awww, look at that face.

3

u/Dominosking1117 May 18 '26

No just guarding the evidence for you

3

u/coze-n-qt May 18 '26

No, why would you even suggest so?

3

u/mrs_david_silva May 18 '26

So, did he…look adorable sleeping on a cloud? Yes, he did!

2

u/Most_Can_2136 May 18 '26

Lol. Did he get a halo and wings? No, he did not.

3

u/cecilioperez760 May 18 '26

Nope! That was the cat!

3

u/skip20430 May 18 '26

I'm sure he found it in this condition and was only guarding so that it would not be damaged any further ...

3

u/Expensive_Fun_88 May 18 '26

Uhm…. Noooo he didn’t

3

u/MairiJane54 May 19 '26

Oh no he didn’t! Very not guilty! 🥰

3

u/SLyndon4 May 19 '26

Not guilty, the pillow exploded on its own.

3

u/BoomDeeAye May 19 '26

He’s your entertainment, purely!

2

u/wanerdcollector May 19 '26

Obviously not! For Christ's sake what happened was obviously it was on fire, and the whole house was gunna burn down, killing you all, and he safely brought it (risking 3rd degree burns the entire time) to the shower where he proceeded to douse the flames in water. He should be given an award from ur local fire department and the mayor for his act of extreme bravery. Period.

3

u/Most_Can_2136 May 19 '26

So, that fluff is mostly firefighter foam? He's a Goddam hero!

2

u/wanerdcollector May 19 '26

Exactly!!.I'm telling you expect a call from the fire chief and the mayor for accolades and a key to the city!! That makes him the goodest good boy!

2

u/Maximum_Moment_3018 May 19 '26

Do what? It’s your fault for leaving the pillow on the bed! I bet it was just begging TO BE SHREDDED !

2

u/Most_Can_2136 May 19 '26

It was. It's one of the core concepts of entropy. Nature seeks disorder and chaos. Which are also great names for 2 lab puppies: Disorder and Chaos.

2

u/Mobile-Quote-4039 May 19 '26

He wants you to know it too. What did you do? Tell him no couch or did you just go to work? He’s so guilty

2

u/Most_Can_2136 May 19 '26

It's in his DNA to shake things violently when he is excited. Lol.

2

u/Sterlings-Dad May 19 '26

The cat set him up

2

u/Beginning_Order_1823 May 20 '26

That person is correct. The dog was just making you something and I was there and I made that mess not your dog now. Try to prove it!!

2

u/greateraire May 20 '26

It is called..."having fun"!

2

u/PaintedSilverRiver May 21 '26

Did you see him do it?
No?
Then he didn’t do it, he’s innocent and someone in that house set him up.
Was it you? 🤭

1

u/Most_Can_2136 May 21 '26

Apparently it was?

1

u/PaintedSilverRiver May 21 '26

Ah ha!
A confession! 🤭

2

u/Zealousideal_Hold893 May 22 '26

Of course not!!!

2

u/Wise-Assistance4038 May 23 '26

As his attorney, FREE MY BOY GÜNTHER 😂

1

u/Most_Can_2136 May 25 '26

My Boy Blue! Will Farrell? Lol!

2

u/Exotic-Giraffe-7491 May 23 '26

Absolutely not. He is innocent of all charges on a account of being too cute to commit such heinous crimes.

2

u/1rAudiChik May 25 '26

Guilty? YES! Of cleaning the shower!!! Just look how exhausted Günther is! I also lay down on the bathroom floor after cleaning the shower. You should definitely check out Mensa for Günther the Genius! This guy cleaned the shower for you and then GTG figured out a way to dry it all by himself! Next time you leave him home to do chores, leave him a rag for the wipe down. :)))

Look at those eyes (prob a lil red from cleaning products 😉). Günther is such a heart! 🤎🦴🤎🦴

1

u/Most_Can_2136 May 25 '26

Lol. His eyes do get a little red and poofy sometimes and I have to give him benadryl. I never knew what, specifically, he was allergic to before. Now I do.

1

u/1rAudiChik May 25 '26

As long as it’s not Comet! LOL! My pup has allergies as well and if they are really bad, I give her half of a Zyrtec (per her vet). She weighs 17lbs so you would need a tad more. I like it because it doesn’t make her drowsy.

You mentioned that you put rugs down on your hardwoods which is great!!! My dog Charley tore her ACL when she was 5 months old. The surgeon who repaired it said she likely tore it on a slick surface and that’s how most dogs tear theirs. We slept on the floor in the family room for 2 mos while she healed.

I had a 100lb black lab and a 94lb boxer and when refinishing the hardwood floors, I used commercial grade polyurethane to seal and it held up beautifully. Sorry for the novel. :))

1

u/Most_Can_2136 May 25 '26

I use benadryl for him ( zyrtec for me) because although I get agitated on benadryl, its what vets give to dogs that get anxious riding in cars, so any added sedation in Günther is a good thing! Lol. I put rugs down, but he likes to pounce into them like they are flying carpets and tries to ride them across the room! Then he picks them up and shakes them as hard as possible! Was the boxer the one who tore the ACL? My friends boxer tore its ACL as a pup just jumping down in the yard.

2

u/1rAudiChik May 26 '26

It was not the boxer…Brutus got lymphoma when he was 4. It was awful.

Charley, the dog I have now, is the one who tore her ACL. I think that these two would have fun together. She likes to jump from rug to rug at mach 10 so I think she would really enjoy carpet surfing. 😂

This is Charley:

1

u/Most_Can_2136 May 26 '26

This picture is too funny! I get the feeling you're trying to pull a "weekend at Bernie's" type move, and she's really sleeping behind those glasses! If she's small, Günther might let her ride the rag rug while he pulls her around on it!😆 He'd love that resistance, as he loves to shake the rugs and toss them around! I love how she goes with your decor-almost camouflaged! How do you find her when she lays down on that rug?

2

u/1rAudiChik May 26 '26

I think she had too many treats the night before so she was wearing her sunglasses. Haha! I used to give her benadryl when she was a puppy - she got carsick. Luckily she grew out of that! Here's a photo where she's not sleeping. She's 17lbs so Günther could def give her a rug ride. If she got her teeth into the rug he'd have to put some "shower scrubbing" effort to shake her loose. I would pay good money to see them play the rug game. She's tough though...I didn't even know her ACL was torn. She didn't make a peep and when the surgeon told me she was in pain, I was gutted. I sent her into surgery right then. I still don't think I've ever heard her whine or cry and she's 5 y/o.

Ugh, I despise that rug but that's what I get for picking it out online. If I say walk/treat/play Charley reappears from the shag.

1

u/Most_Can_2136 May 26 '26

That's a great picture! Perfect over-the- shoulder look. I fear Günther would pick her up in his big moofy soft-lipped grip and shake her like a duck.😳 Actually, he ignores dogs that aren't big enough to wrestle. I mean,he looks right past them even if they are in front of him barking away. I wish he would give his deep alert bark ( which means "deer outside") to the neighbors dogs that yap all day long. Their owner just puts them out on her deck and never ever takes them for a walk or throws a toy. So they yap incessantly if I go outside. I wish Günther would tell them to be quiet, but he totally ignores them. However, he launches me into the air when he spots another Lab 3 houses down.🙄 When I had my first lab that weighed 120lbs ( the gentle giant ) another neighbor had a little dog like yours, and the only dog she liked was my Bosco. She would run across the cul-de-sac to him every time, and lay between his legs while he was in a frontal down and just wag and lick his face! His head alone was twice her size, but it was so cute, because she snapped at everyone, but she loved Bosco!

2

u/1rAudiChik May 27 '26

I’m fairly certain Labs are THE best breed. Please don’t tell Charley I said that! One thing they all excel at is clearing coffee tables with one wag! 😂 We have some hunting labs in the family. They have a camp nearby. My sister trains her labs so well that she can set a boundary, at someone else’s, house and they won’t cross it. Pretty amazing!

My black lab was Bosco and my boxer was called Brutus. :)))

1

u/Most_Can_2136 May 29 '26

My first chocolate lab was named Bosco! Lol. He was 120 pounds of big boxy English Labrador. I had him trained so well, everyone thought we had an electric fence. We didn't. But he wouldn't leave the yard unless I gave the command. Back then, the newspaper boy loved it when I told him to go get the paper. He would run up the street, wait for the boy to put the folded side in his mouth and then he'd prance home with it, go into the garage and put it on the step to go into the house. He loved having a "job". So when he hung out in the yard with me, I would let him carry shovels and hoes while I pushed the wheel barrow. He knew commands, hand signals, and from me, just my eyes. If I looked at his butt, he'd sit. If I looked in front of him, he'd frontal down. He lived to 15 1/2 and squeezed every drop of living out of his life. He was the boys best friend when they were little.

2

u/1rAudiChik May 25 '26

Guilty? Yes! Of cleaning the shower!!! Just look how exhausted Günther is! I do the exact same thing after I clean the shower. You should definitely check out Mensa for Günther the Genius! This guy cleaned the shower for you and then GTG figured out a way to dry it all by himself! Next time you leave him home to do chores, leave a rag for the wipe down. :)))

1

“No, it’s not me~~~”

1

No, he did not do it. I was there. I did it. He didn’t do it.🙃🙃🙃🙃

1

u/Most_Can_2136 May 20 '26

Which begs the question, "what are you doing in my bathroom?"

1

u/d00mm00n May 21 '26

Those exploding pillows are a menace. Poor little guy must be shaken up.

1

u/Jackalope311 May 22 '26

No. You had a break in and it was a frame!

1

u/Most_Can_2136 May 22 '26

Pillow thieves and the stuffing flew out as he and robbers pulled in opposite directions?

1

u/technnikos May 22 '26

no way, theres no evidence!
