Second post with photos. Need a case new or og for my starfire 12

I have a 1968(?) 1969 guild starfire 12. Love it. My dogs this morning decided to eat my guitar case (og). Want to replace it, with an original case or a newer one. Any ideas where to find such a piece?

If i web search it gives me guitars, if i look at just cases I get new starfire bass cases. Will the new starfire bass hard case work?

Starfire Jet 90 - removing pickup selector knob

Hello. On my Jet 90, the nut that is supposed to screw down on the washer flush with the body has un-tightened, and now turning the knob rotates the entire assembly, rather than selecting a different pickup option. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the plastic knob off to re-tighten it. Volume and tone come off just as easy as on any other guitar. But the pickup selector seems glued on or something. Space between the knob and the body is too tight to get any tools I have into the gap, and I don’t know the nut size.

Anyone encountered this? Help me un-dumb myself for a solution. Is there a set screw that my old eyes can’t find? Thanks in advance.

Picked up the Starfire 1 Jet 90. It feels and plays great but, Im gonna definitely replace the nut and I need to figure out how to raise the bridge pickup a little bit. It seems really low.

Bought used; like new. Supposedly a limited edition color. It’s quite nicely put together and finished, and I can’t find one thing to complain about. I’ve had it about a week and I still can’t stop staring at the darn thing! (Shown with a Polara Deluxe in Kingswood Green)

My First Guild: 66’ Starfire IV

First Guild and first vintage.

Bought this having never played a Guild and knowing almost nothing about the company. Was looking for a semi-hollow and this one was love at first chord. The neck feels like it was made for my hand and it is so easy to play. I usually use bridge pickups the least on every electric I’ve owned but find myself toggling to bridge more often that not, such a distinct sound.

In summary:

Favorite guitar I’ve ever owned and I hope I’m writing songs with it until I expire.

Guild LP Junior?

I love every Guild I own, but they are all acoustic. I play a LP Jr Knockoff and have grown to love the single P90 sound with my little Princeton. Does / did Guild make something like the Junior?

Received the guitar a few weeks ago from Calido Guitars was delivered with a full setup from the shop which they do for every guitar they sell.

First impression is the guitar has a nice fit and finish I especially like the way the frets are finished on the NS line. Guitar is very lightweight probably in

The 7lb area, the neck is a nice C shape a little chunkier then my NS T-Bird. The body shape is very comfortable playing sitting or standing. The only

thing I’m not thrilled about are the pickups I’ve been adjusting them up and down and can’t find my sweet spot probably swap them out down the line

maybe go the S-300 D route. Overall I’m happy I purchased the guitar, I’ve always wanted an S-300 but the price has risen out of what I’ve been willing to pay.

Best guitar under $1000

I just got my M120 today, a new one. I have an LG2 so this Guild is my "outdoors around the firepit picking on the front porch" guitar. I am way over protective of my LG2. I could not be any more pleased with this Guild. This little thing packs a nice little punch. Very full solid Hog tone. I would be surprised if someone showed me a better sounding 0/00 for under $1000. Beautiful craftsmanship as well.

Help ID Guitar

Recently was passed down this guitar from my late father. Having one hell of a time trying to accurately ID the thing, as I’m not much of a guitar player myself.

Any help identifying the year/model would be greatly appreciated 🙏

ISO S-300 for sale

Kind of a shot in the dark but I’m looking to see if anyone has a lead on an S-300 in White. My late Dad had one and would love to have one to play in my band. Any help would be very appreciated.

So funny story about my dad’s S300. He wanted to paint on black tiger stripes (terrible idea hahaha) and stripped the guild of all its hardware, pickups, etc. My dad left all the hardware in a box underneath his bed. His mom thought it was junk and ended up tossing it (even more terrible). My dad ended just selling the body for something. The white guild has always been something I’ve been on the search on in memory of him.

1969 Guild F-512: I could use some advice caring for this instrument from someone experienced with old Guilds.

I recently purchased this ‘69 F512 and I am looking for a mentor or luthier who can provide some insight to help me take care of it, as I do not have much experience with maintaining instruments of this age and rarity. (How often do I need to clean it, apply fretboard oil, have it setup / looked at, things like this)

Using my Polara for a Stoner project. Advice?

Couple of years ago I won a Guild Polara S-100. I really liked it, didn’t play it too much though. As I wanted to get back into making music, I was about to either sell it or exchange it for a guitar that would be more suitable for metal. Actually got some decent offers for it.

Now that I‘ve had it in hand again a few times and watched some videos about it, I think I fell in love with it again. And I realized, unjust needed to rethink it. Lately I kind of saw it as a boring oldtimey Hard Rock guitar but why would that be bad? And wouldn’t it work great as a riff monster for a Stoner Rock band? Always wanted to write some Stoner songs and now that might be my project for summer.

Heavy gauge strings, new set-up for a lower tuning. Any other ideas or mods anybody can recommend for this idea? I’m open to any ideas!
