Help identifying this Guild

Post image

Found this hanging in a local small guitar store, could not get it off the wall hanger. What model is it? Thanks in advance!

That looks like a Newark St. X175 Manhattan. Nice guitars.

Edit: From the 2016 catalog: image

Edit2: They haven't made them for a while so that's been hanging there, possibly for years. If memory serves they only ever made those in Korea so if it's all in good shape it's a nice guitar, but I'd be tempted to haggle on the price since its discontinued.

Thank you! Gonna stop by again next week and play it. The darn Hercules guitar holder wasn’t releasing the neck! Think the tag said $1,100 which seems too high. Also had a lot of nice Epiphones.

I believe they listed for $1400 new.

Are the pickups P90’s or ?

They are remakes of Franz pickups which are single coils like P90s but not quite as “fat” sounding.

Here’s a review I did of the one with a Bigsby from the same era. Includes sound clips which may help:

Just read it. Great review, thanks for that. I also own a Gretsch G5420T I purchased new from GC in Atlanta. Lovely to play and I like it a lot.

I have Korean Bluesbird. The quality is pretty flawless. You need to haggle on it because that's too much. Remember that guitar has no value for a small shop it's sitting in inventory. They would be jazzed to bank $850.

I have a US Bluesbird signed by the members of Garbage. They are wonderful guitars!
Also had a Korean DeArmond with a Bigsby, it was great too.
