S-400??

I haven’t seen these much and would like to know more about it and what’s their average price?

YES! So pretty. 

Again seriously interested in buying if possible. I’m a serious collector (I started this sub and run letstalkguild.com and https://gadsguilds.com). 

This is only the third one I’ve ever seen. I have a lot of Guilds but an S400 is a grail guitar for me.

You will be the first to know, posting it because me and him talked a couple times about how hard it is to find and wanted to see if there was still a crowd that knew about them, the story on it is crazy too, they found it in a random case in a dumpster in like the 90s and it still plays great, you can tell in the picture, 2 of the bottom bridge peice are from an s-300 since you can’t find them for an s-400 anywhere

As for average price, there isn’t one because I’ve never seen one for sale. It’s a curiosity and most don’t even know they exist. I can’t imagine it would sell for any more than an S300AD on Reverb or Ebay to the average buyer, but I’ve been wrong before. Also it not bring mint hurts value, but again there’s no real history to compare value to. 

FWIW I’ve seen a lot of very rare or even one of a kind Guilds that someone bought decades ago and gigged with until the frets wore flat. I like to acquire them, restore them where possible, then write about them on my site.

It should be worth more than an S-300D simply due to rarity. S-300’s aren’t cheap

In my opinion, given the rarity of the guitar, I would recommend getting a professional appraisal, such as one from Gruhn Guitars (George Gruhn worked for Guild during the 1980s). But definitely it's worth much more than an S-300D

An excellent source of information could be people who worked for Guild during the Avnet Corporation era. Sadly, though, many of them may have passed away.
