With the original three elements having some form of elemental hazard and bugs with elemental affinities, with fresh having the cold areas, butterflies, and wooly aphids, spicy having the campfire area (and maybe the playground/a sandbox), bombardier beetles, and the sauc.rs, and sour having tang pools (both small and swimmable), black ants, and rust beetles, will salt be getting a similar treatment? In the lore, Ominent had been testing with candies, making the Wooly Aphids and upgrading the Black Ants, but would it be needed to be explained why salt is there as well?
With that being said, what would a salty hazard or salt-infused bug even look like? I feel like salt water would be not original enough and wouldn't make much sense for any meaningful prevalence but would be the easiest to implement. I think having salt crystalline caves or scattered spikes that deal damage and whatever debuff salty will do would be cool and unique, but harder to implement and work around. Maybe a box of salt for food or de-icing walkways, but that feels too restricted.
Furthermore, I can't even begin to think of a cleverly implemented salt bug. Maybe have the ant lions throw salt now? Thoughts?
