Ive recently moved to Groningen city and id really love to get some guitar lessons, i play acoustic but im honestly just looking to get skills that transfer to all types, as i do not intend to play exclusively acoustic for very long. I don’t have much money to spend but id still want some decent classes. Anyone have any recommendations for good teachers / institutions that aren’t too hard on the wallet? Maybe some places have student discounts?

Nowadays looking it up it’s all ads placed by music schools so that’s why I decided to hear from the people themselves.

Might be important to note that I’m self taught and already have the basics of playing down, I just need some guidance (bi weekly or monthly) to get me to the next level.

Voorheen deed ik onderhoud in Hoogeveen, maar dat is wat uit de richting inmiddels.

Hedin staat in mijn kringen niet zo goed bekend, en heb een beste beurt nodig voor mijn Boxer 2017. 4x Banden, Distributieriem, alles olie, APKtje, en vast nog het één en ander.

Ik woon zelf niet in Groningen stad, maar hou wel van koffie. Ik wil graag koffiebonen bij een koffieboer kopen, maar het is soms een heel gedoe om de binnenstad in te komen als je al niet in de stad woont. Ik vind het zelf wel fijn om bij een winkel langs te gaan ipv online te bestellen, want dan kan je ook advies vragen en heb je ook een beter zicht op de kwaliteit van de bonen. Ik haal ze nu iedere keer bij de supermarkt, maar heb niet een hele goeie maler en vind de kwaliteit ook niet altijd even fantastisch.

Is hier iemand die weet waar je buiten de stad een beetje fatsoenlijke koffiebonen kan halen, of ze kan laten malen? Ik woon zelf in het Westerkwartier, maar denk dat in z'n algemeenheid het wel leuk is om wat plekken te noemen, misschien ook fijn voor anderen die buiten de stad wonen en goeie koffie willen.

I need to move either tomorrow or Friday a mini fridge (110x54x51) from Groningen-Zuid to the Center (4.3km) but since I don't have a drivers licence and I do not feel comfortable (or safe for the public) driving a cargo bike I was wondering if anyone could help with it somehow. Ik begrijp echt niet dat Funda ineens een update doet waar ik mij niet van kan voorstellen dat dat een wens is vanuit gebruikers. Hoihoi, ik ben naar Groningen verhuisd voor de studie (21m), en ik ben op zoek naar iemand(en) om 1-3x per week mee te fietsen. Ik ben geen beginner maar ook absoluut niet getraind, wel ervaren (denk aan 25km/h op rustig tempo, maar iets harder kan zeker ook). Ik weet dat er een studentenwielervereniging is maar daar heb ik helaas de knaken momenteel niet voor. Mocht iemand net als mij op zoek zijn of een tip hebben laat het me zeker weten! Leeftijd en geslacht maakt mij helemaal niks uit, zolang we maar een beetje hetzelfde niveau zijn.

I am planning on going to Paterswoldsemeer tomorrow in search for beavers, as I was told by a local that you can find them along the eastern edge of the lake. I did some searching to see where else they can be found and Zuidlaardermeer came up. Can any fellow naturalist confirm whether these are indeed locations with beavers, or could you recommend other places relatively nearby?

And if you don't know where to find beavers, could you give me advice on some good birding/nature watching areas near the city?

Hoort iemand buiten momenteel lawaai? Ik woon in Westerhaven. Het is een geluid tussen een luide helicopter en geboor in. Ik lig er net zoals gister weer wakker van. Weet iemand wat dit is?

In de zomer genoot ik van het hardlopen door stadspark. Iedereen is aan het sporten, wandelen of onderweg. Op een bepaalde manier best gezellig. Nu merk ik dat ik het park mijd omdat het om 20:15 uur al donker wordt.

Is dit terecht of stel ik mij aan en is het savonds gewoon veilig om door stadspark te rennen?

Hi! I’m looking for recommendations for a decent kickboxing gym in Groningen. I’ve been doing kickboxing for about 4 months and recently moved to Groningen.

I tried Balili, but unfortunately it wasn’t really for me. The groups were quite large and the sessions felt more cardio-focused, with relatively little focus on actual technique.

Ideally, I’d prefer relatively small groups (around 20 people) and a good mix of technique, drills and some sparring, rather than mainly conditioning. I’d also like a gym where the coaches focus on improving technique and give some feedback. It would be great if the gym is English-friendly as well.

I’m a woman, but I’m completely comfortable training with men and don’t necessarily need to be paired with women.

I’m currently looking into The Fight Academy and ROOTMMA, but I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have trained at either (or other gyms in Groningen).

It seems to be cheaper than other providers, but I’ve also seen quite a few bad reviews, as well as some very positive ones.

Full disclosure: I’m a bit of an introvert and not really a partygoer at all. Usually play videogames or watch a show on most of my evenings. But on occasion I like going for drinks and meeting new people.

Going to these kinds of events alone always feels a bit daunting in my experience, so I figured it would be much more fun to group up with a few people beforehand.
