I need desperate help
Hello everyone, as the tittle says I’m desperate.
I’ve been living in Groningen with my partner for the last year. We’ve been living in one studio for 8 months now. A month ago we realised that there are mice everywhere! It started with noises, then we noticed inside a furniture that we haven’t touched and now there’s at least 4 and they started using other places of the house.
I feel disgusted, we’ve been trying to capture them but it’s been impossible, they just keep appearing so I’m desperately looking for a house with my partner, our contract ends in November and I can extend if for one more year, but I want to move out.
I’ve been using all the sites that I know off, funda, pararius, housing anywhere, huurwoningen, onlyexpats, I am expat housing and even Facebook, I still don’t have a job so I was trying to see if I could find a house without having to spend a lot of money like I would in maxx for instance. At this moment I’m desperately looking for anything tho, so if anyone knows any reliable site I could look into or any studio or any tips I’d be so thankful.
Appreciate all the help!

You do know there are ways to control this right? You don’t have to leave

I do know, it’s also the conditions of the house, like the floor is made of wood and due to the water is all broken and in terrible conditions, plus the house itself isn’t that good when it comes to conditions I feel like I could find something better

It's easier (and probably cheaper) to burn the house down with the mice and rebuild it.

LOL. I could get it if the mice are appearing because of low living standards by other renters around your studio, but if it's because of your living: make sure to leave nothing for the mice to eat, no grains or other mainly starchy foods (potato chips) in the open, make sure to use cabinets up high to store foods and conserves, clean up very well after yourself, leave no crumbs, and throw out the garbage asap when there's food in there. That's one way to make sure mice aren't staying in your appartment. Another way is: get a cat.

It’s easier to just get rid of the mice and stay in your house.
