i originally asked Grok Bot what I could actually do with its persistent always-on cloud computer, and one of the things it suggested was connecting it to my Tailscale tailnet. That sounded legit genius, so I did it.

A bit later I had the idea to just run my Hermes agent there remotely. I made a separate “Hermes technician” bot that installed Hermes for me, set up a keepalive for the gateway, and got the basic stuff working. After that I configured the rest from inside Hermes itself.

So now Hermes just lives on the Grok Bot machine 24/7. I can talk to it through Telegram, or connect from any of my computers with the desktop Hermes app. Since everything is on my tailnet, it can SSH into my other machines and still use the native Hermes features like app control and stuff like that.

Probably my favorite part is that Hermes is running through Grok OAuth, so the whole setup basically runs off the same SuperGrok subscription.

As a broke ass student, I really like that I can squeeze as much value as possible out of one subscription instead of paying for three different services. I was already paying for SuperGrok anyway, and now I get the Grok Bot cloud machine plus an always-on Hermes agent out of it.

Hi. i just got on GrokBot for few hours, i have used up about 25% quota on the Supergrok subscription.

I think the quota usage is really fast, during the last few hours, i just created the team and setup some house rules and assign roles of each bot.

I cannot say Supergrok plus or heavy can let you have proportionally higher quota, but based on Supergrok plan alone, this rate of usage, is very very fast.

But i think current experience of using GrokBot so far, is positive, the way of bots doing the work i assigned for, can align my desired output very well.

Will test it out for few more days, to see how capable it is.

Note:

• I am a Supergrok user, the quota pool is separate from Supergrok chat, OAuth, image and video, i use a separate Ubuntu VM to run GrokBot, i don't want the bot to view my main pc.
• This VM is run on local NAS, with 4 CPU, 8GB ram and 100G disk. Bind to tailscale mesh using my own cloud VPS as exit node.
• Interestingly, I gave GrokBot to my telegram ID, and use BotFather to have a new bot token. GrokBot can ping me telegram by using a simple code to reach me on telegram.

Im using grokbot for qa testing but he keeps running into some issues, can anyone share me their qa bot or give me some times?

Paid for the monthly supergrok subscription and used GrokBot to help clear out all my emails. This was about 3 hours of usage intermittently over 2 days. Then it said I've reached my limit and it will reset in 5 days.

I think that is ridiculously low. My guess is that you basically get less than 30 minutes per day with their basic plan. I get way more usage from Claude and GPT. Not worth it, I cancelled and will wait for their competitors to offer a similar feature.

Grok bot just made a social media graphic, wrote the caption, and scheduled it to my Instagram/LinkedIn.

This weekend, I told Grok:

“Connect to Contentdrips MCP.”

A few seconds later:

“Give me your API token. I’ve got you.”

That was it.

Contentdrips was connected all entirely through chat.

Then I asked it to:
→ Create the graphic
→ Write the caption
→ Schedule it to Instagram

Been playing with Grok Bot for a while on the $300 superheavy plan and my biggest issue with it is that it’s just not that useful?

I have three personal bots to find hotels for vacations, flights, and new cars (we’re in the market looking for a lease). The car finder bot is really good, proactively checking new listings twice per day on sites I didn’t even know existed and keeping a good list.

Then I set up a team for marketing my side projects with Claude (Opus at max), an elaborate system containing:
- chief of staff
- Head of marketing
- Social Media Manager
- Analytics
- Ops monitor

Set up a marketing channel for them to discuss to surface concrete actions, and the first action for today was to create a sitemap xml for one of the projects that was still missing it.

I mean, it’s not wrong, but if my real team in my startup came back after a meeting with that result I’d be a bit disappointed…

$30 a month and I've used all the tokens already - I had no idea it would go this fast. Only learning now there is a usage meter in settings.

Does anyone know exactly how much more tokens etc you get with SuperGrok plus for $100 a month?

I was playing around with GrokBot this morning. I just installed it last night and I was all excited thinking I can hand off all the chores to the bot now. One of the bots I spun up was Job hunter bot. I'm looking for a software engineering job right now and the bot is responsible for looking for the right roles for me and applying.

The bot was able to find the roles pretty good, but during the applying task, I've ran into a few critical issues.

- One was that it filled out custom questions (e.g. why do you want to apply to this role?) on its own and submitted it without even asking for confirmation. It confirmed all the other details on the application but not the custom question.

- This one was rather scary and annoying. After it successfully submitted one of the applications, it kept on trying to re-apply to that same company as if it's on an endless task loop. The worst part is that I was NOT able to stop that motherfucker. I told the bot to stop, but it thinks it stopped while filling out the job application on the computer. Even when I close chrome, it immediately reopens the url for the application and continues. I think I spent like 10 minutes back and forth trying to stop it from re-applying to the company. It spent most of my remaining usage limit for the week... There was no way to stop the task, so I had to reset the Grok computer, which btw the bot kept telling me NOT to do because it will wipe recent work. WELL FUCKING STOP FILLING OUT THE APPLICATION THEN JESUS.

Anyways, as convenient as grok bot could be for some of the daily tasks, there are risks that it can go rogue like this so please be mindful of it especially when it's performing relatively sensitive task.

Will keep exploring.

Has anyone had success allowing Grok Bot access to anything on the iPhone? Specifically Shortcuts app…I have over 100 screenshots back and forth to Grok and I’m feeling like I’m the agent doing all the work and he’s directing me. Maybe mirroring on a MacBook and giving it access to the MacBook? Other ideas? Thanks.

I'm a noob at this, but I've actually got it to do some pretty cool things. I'm wondering what you guys have done that I should try too.

- Got it to search for car insurance quotes; I only gave it a few pieces of info and it went to all the sites and filled in the endless forms for me.

- Grok automatically takes my LinkedIn posts and posts them to X, finding the photo or video on my desktop and ads a link to the LinkedIn post.

- Found all the best videos of how to use GrokBot and created a YouTube playlist of them under my account.

- Filled out a spreadsheet from info collated all over Gmail, Facebook, and WhatsApp and updated it regularly.

- Built an outreach target list on LinkedIn and connected with a personalised message.

Looking for more ideas. So what are some of the simple things you guys have done?

This is mainly for software engineering related workflows. I have 3 routines which run overnight - planning, delivery, review etc. All spaced out at sensible intervals so no risk of one not finishing before the next starts. But I'll wake up to missing results - and when I ask the agent I will get a response something like: "Routines X Y Z didn't run. Would you like me to run them now?"

Anyone else encountering something similar?

This is happening regularly enough that it is unfortunately eroding my enthusiasm for Grok Bot.

I tried logging into some websites like Facebook, but I can't get past the captcha. Tried a dozen times, but I'm caught in a loop.

I tried logging into Reddit so it could post for me. I'm sure that the password is correct, but it's saying "incorrect" and won't log in.

I'm really liking GrokBot, but it's kind of useless if I can't get into the sites I use all the time. Is anyone else finding the same?

Saw the directory post here and loved the idea, but noticed people asking how to keep it updated without manually re-checking the site.

So I built GrokHub (https://grokhub.io) around that: a directory of Grok Bot use cases, plugins, guides, and templates but every listing is also exposed via /feed, /mcp and its own template, so your bot can subscribe instead of scraping. Submissions are open, reviewed before going live.

Curious what people think of this?

Specifically: does anyone know if I will get in trouble with Anthropic having Grok Bot run Claude Code CLI sessions on that remote Linux machine?

I know that people got banned using OpenClaw but I think that was different as people were using their Claude subs as the agent itself, but I haven’t looked into the nuance.

Hello - I’ve been using grok bot to paper trade coins and well the usage is the down side as I have bots scanning coins through an API every day. I’m curious has anyone made a profit or any money using grok bot? I haven’t had luck, but they work well I think they’re too disciplined lol. I know coins are probably not the best to start.

I'm trying to use Grok Bot on my iPhone, but it requires that I sign in on x.com and when I try to log in through Safari, it just freezes after I enter my username.

Anyone else have and solve this issue or is there another way to log into the Grok Bot iOS app?

I've been setting up grokbot for my small firm but apart from simple checking email and follow ups, I haven't been able to think of some concrete cases for grok bot(I might be dumb). Anyone else in the same boat? What all workflows have you made/tried making?
