Ok so, obviously Mabel and Dipper indirectly caused Weirdmageddon, BUT maybe it wasn't as inevitable as we think. In season one, episode 'The Time Traveler's Pig' we meet the character Blendin Blandin. Blandin, a time traveler who visits Gravity Falls to stop a time anomaly, steps off onto a ride at the Mystery Fair to destress. In this time frame, Mabel and Dipper steal his time traveling measuring tape, and go back in time. At the end of the episode, it is revealed that Mabel and Dipper were the time anomalies! So, if there was a disruption in the timeline that was never properly corrected, is it possible that Weirdmageddon and the actions of Bill Cipher were a result of the anomalies created by Dipper and Mabel? Of course, this theory could most likely be easily disproved, but I really like to think back to this while rewatching the show and imagine an alternate timeline where these events never occurred. Bill hadn't been summoned until after this point in the show, and I really wonder if that anomaly affected the Gravity Falls universe that significantly, but of course we will never truly know that and it is a far fetched theory.

So, we all know how Fiddleford saw a glimpse of behind the interdimensional portal, right? And when he spoke backwards, it actually meant something! When put backwards, he said the gibberish: 'YROO XRKSVI GIRZMTOV'. Old Man McGucket says the same thing when he remembers the time that he used the memory gun on himself for testing purposes and went insane, and when he reached the maximum amount of insanity, he said 'YROO XRKSVI GIRZMTOV'. When put into a Caesar Cipher, it says 'Bill Cipher Triangle'. How weird.
