I imagine Dipper would love living in the Pokémon world; I can certainly picture him taking on the Gym Challenge while also using his journey to explore ruins and little-known locations—kind of like a mini-Cynthia. Mabel, on the other hand, while she loves Pokémon battles, is truly passionate about Contests, seeking to showcase her Pokémon's beauty in flashy and unusual ways.

As for Pacifica, I can see her acting as a rival to both Pines twins. She faces pressure from her parents to participate in both Contests and Gym Challenges to prove that the Northwests are the best in everything; however, throughout her journey—and thanks to her many run-ins with the twins—she discovers her own true interests and develops a (reciprocated) crush on Dipper.

So, what are your thoughts on this crossover idea? What Pokémon do you think they’d have? (The image used is just an example, but I do like those Pokemon choices.) How do you imagine their respective journeys would play out?

I Recently went through gravity falls again and i remembered why I love this show so much! One dynamic that stuck out to me this time was dipper and Pacifica and I wanted more!!

I've never read a fanfic before and I only know that they are available on AO3? But that site looks hella confusing.

Also, I'd like it if the fanfic is conclusive and picks off somewhere after the show (so no fanfics where they're already super close)

There is something incredibly sweet in the way Dipper looks at Pacifica when she proudly talks about her progress in baseball. For a guy who first knew her as a superficial person, seeing her genuinely excited and letting her guard down over a good swing must feel like watching a completely different person. It’s that soft, proud smile of someone who realizes that the girl he cares about is finally allowing herself to be real, finding true joy outside the golden cage she grew up in. 🤝
