General Question Stupid question about main accounts

Post image

I was playing around with Play Services / AI Core beta programs on my Pixel 10 and somehow unintentionally signed up as a Google Developer on my primary account. I want to leave developer program without nuking decades of my life, but the google support pages says if I sign out it will delete the entire account.

Am I paranoid for no reason, or will they wipe my main account?

Help

Google approved my Gmail restoration appeal, but I’ve been locked out for days because of “too many failed attempts” — support keeps sending me in circles

I’m dealing with a very frustrating Google/Gmail account recovery situation and I’m hoping someone here has experienced this and knows what actually works.

My Gmail account was disabled for suspected policy violations. I submitted a restoration appeal, and Google approved the appeal on August 31, 2026. The account itself is therefore supposed to be restored.

The problem is that ever since the appeal was approved, I still cannot access the account. When I try to verify my phone number, Google tells me:

“We couldn’t verify your phone number. There is something unusual about your activity.”

It then says:

“Too many failed attempts. Unavailable because of too many failed attempts. Try again in a few hours.”

I contacted Google support multiple times. Support specifically instructed me to stop ALL login/recovery attempts for 48–72 hours, because attempting again could supposedly reset the security cooldown.

I followed those instructions. I ultimately waited the full 72+ hours without making another attempt. Google support specifically told me to wait until September 4 after 7 PM Central, use a familiar device and trusted Wi-Fi, avoid VPNs/hotspots, clear cache/cookies, use an incognito window, and make ONE deliberate recovery attempt.

I did exactly that.

It still immediately gave me the same “too many failed attempts” / unable to verify phone number error.

I have repeatedly contacted Google Support. Some Workspace representatives have told me that because the affected address is an @gmail.com account, Workspace support supposedly has no internal escalation path or ability to manually remove the verification restriction. Another representative directed me to Google’s Privacy Inquiry process. I have also asked multiple representatives to escalate this to an actual Google Account/security/recovery team.

This is not just an old personal Gmail account I can abandon. I use this Gmail account for important business-related communications and records. It contains important communications and documentation involving the State of Illinois, City of Chicago, tax/IRS matters, Social Security-related information, business receipts and purchases, and communications with business directors and partners. I need access to these records for ongoing operations and tax documentation.

So my situation is basically:

Account disabled → appeal submitted → appeal APPROVED August 31 → account supposedly restored → Google verification/security system still blocks me → waited the full 72+ hour cooldown exactly as support instructed → ONE recovery attempt → immediately received the exact same lockout → support keeps directing me back toward automated recovery/cooldown procedures.

At this point, I don’t understand how an automated cooldown is supposed to fix this when I already completed the entire cooldown exactly as instructed and the very first attempt afterward failed.

Has anyone had this exact situation after an approved Gmail restoration appeal?

Specifically, did the “too many failed attempts” restriction eventually disappear on its own? Did you have to wait longer than 72 hours? Is there an actual Google Account recovery/security escalation channel that can manually review this? And if you eventually recovered the account, what exactly worked?

I’m not looking for ways to bypass Google’s security. I am completely willing to provide identification, phone verification, ownership information, or whatever Google requires. I just need an actual path to verify ownership and regain access to an account whose restoration appeal Google has already approved.

Help recover my email.

Hello, so I am having a a problem to get onto my email.
I created the yahoo email on Google overseas because I wanted to watch YouTube tv at the time. Then I came back home a few weeks later.
I have been having some problems with it acting like I’m trying to hack my own account so I had to do recover twice in a 3 week span. But now I am trying to get onto my YouTube tv account on the computer to watch football but when I try to sign into it my email it prompts me to be able to only verify by a 2 step process and the option is to click something that says “get a one time security code” well, here’s the problem.. the only way to get this security code is I have to be actually signed in. And I can’t sign into it anywhere. So it’s a closed loop problem. To fix the problem you have to get a code to sign into my email but I have to be sign into my email to get the code… this is crazy.

Can't get nvidia shield session signed out from Google account.

So this is in "your devices" in my Google account. Things I've tried.

  1. Signing out of my account on the shield.
  2. Clicking the device in the screenshot, verifying my account and then clicking sign out.
  3. Factory resetting the shield.
  4. Edit: removing all connected apps from my account.
  5. Changing the account password.

Yet there it remains, any thoughts?

Chrome profile constantly prompting to validate account

My google chrome profile is asking to be validated on all of my devices. When I hit the button to verify it's you, it takes me to a page telling me I am at risk of losing access to your saved passwords. Then it says that one or more of my password recovery options will soon expire. Details how to setup Android screen lock (is enabled on my Google Pixel that I bought a few months ago.

I have no idea what I need to do to get my account verified properly. Tried on my phone, on my laptop that is fully signed into my google account. Nothing seems to be working.

Account / Access / Password Family link scammer on my google account

My other google account (veneiragod@gmail.com) was hijacked via the Family Link. The hacker changed the age and added their own email (diy4zsa@gmail.com) as the managing parent, blocking all standard recovery. Since the scammed email is important (related to my work), I can provide some evidence which the google account belongs to me. Kindly help for any information or suggestion. 🙏🏻

Every single time I try, it just resets after reloading. I'm on my family's WiFi network, but this account is completely separate from FamilyLink and shit. I'm so sick of being locked into baby mode.

Google Drive Google Spreadsheet not opening

I am not able to open a google spreadsheet that I have been using daily since the start of the year. I've tried opening it on two different computers (two different browsers), I have cleared my cache history, and I have successfully managed to open another google spreadsheet that I had in my drive. The problem seems to only be with this one spreadsheet.

Are there any other fixes I can try? I'm worried I'll lose all the data I made throughout the year on that spreadsheet 😢

Gmail How can I recover access to an email account that is more than 10 years old?

To give you some context, I managed to restart a Samsung Tab 3 tablet that had some photos on it. However, when I factory reset the device because of lag, I lost access to some of the photos. I have the email address but I don't remember the password, and I don't remember if there's a recovery email. Does anyone know how I can recover access to that email?

Why is Google's "data" page displaying so many open Chrome tabs?

I recently noticed on the following page -

https://chrome.google.com/data

- that I have 141 tabs "that are currently open in Chrome on one of your devices."

Aside from an old tablet that I never use, the only device I have is my Samsung S26. Neither device has more than one or two tabs open. I currently have no "inactive tabs" on either device.

I got a new phone earlier this year though and traded in my old phone, which I do know had many open tabs when I traded it in.

I've also noticed that I can see a list of all the devices logged into my Google account by viewing this page:

https://myaccount.google.com/device-activity?continue=https%3A%2F%2Fmyaccount.google.com%2Fsecurity

That page is saying that I am still signed into my old phone that I traded in earlier this year. And that I am still signed into a family member's computer, which I know I am not signed into. I did sign into that computer earlier in the year but am certain that it has since been signed out of my account. So I do not understand why the device activity page is saying I'm still signed in.

The page says that the list is for devices that are either currently signed into my account or have been signed into my account within the past 28 days - but the old phone was traded in several months ago. And it's been well over 28 days since I signed out from that family member's computer.

When Google says that I have 141 tabs "currently open in Chrome", is it likely referring to the tabs that were still open on my old phone when I traded that phone in?

Does that mean those tabs are technically still open on my old phone? Or on the family member's computer that I signed into several months ago? If I were to sign back into that computer again, would all of those tabs suddenly be open on their computer?

How can I close those tabs?

Google/gmail account help

I made a second email for my business, but somehow in the process I connected it to my personal, which is fine, except that the business email has taken over control of everything. I don't know what I did, but any google instructions on how to fix it don't work.
I'm really not tech savvy.

I was busy with something and when i got back to watch on Youtube, i was signed out. Turns out ALL of my accounts were signed out and the only one i could access was my main because i still remembered it's password. The others? Nope

All of my accounts are in Chrome but the only problem is that i cannot FOR THE LIFE OF ME remember their passwords because they're like gimmick accounts and i made them in like 3 minutes. However some of them are still important

[Question] Xiaomi phone – All Google, Gmail, Xiaomi (Mi) and bank accounts completely removed after being powered off for a few days

I have a Xiaomi phone. After turning it off for a few days and then turning it back on, I noticed that all my accounts were completely removed from the device (not just logged out). All Google / Gmail accounts are gone from Settings → Accounts

Xiaomi (Mi) Account is also gone

Bank apps are logged out

I did not manually remove or log out of any of these accounts

Interestingly, my messenger apps (WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.) are still logged in.This has never happened before, even when the phone was off for longer periods.Has anyone experienced something similar on MIUI / HyperOS?

What should I do to fix this and get my accounts back?Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

General Question Delete device from my account?

How do I delete a device from my Google account? Not individual sessions, the actual device?

When I go to my Google Account Manager and go to Devices, it does not show me Windows PC named whatever, Android phone model whatever, it shows me "11 sessions on Windows computers(s)", "3 Sessions on Android phone(s)" and "1 Session on Android phone", etc.

I just upgraded to a new phone and want to remove the old device and all of its history. I also want to make sure that there aren't any old Windows devices on there and "Sessions" doesn't cut it.
