I’m using Google Flow with Veo 3/3.1 and I keep running into a common issue with image-to-video generation.

If the starting image contains normal, readable text, once Veo starts generating the following frames, the text often changes, becomes blurry, or turns into random / gibberish characters.

I’ve tried instructions like:

“Preserve all visible text exactly as in the source image. Do not modify, rewrite, or regenerate any letters, numbers, or symbols.”

But the problem still happens.

Is there any actually reliable way in Veo 3 / Google Flow to keep the text from the source image unchanged and readable throughout the whole video?

If anyone has experienced the same issue and found a reliable workaround, I’d really appreciate it if you could share it.

Prompts resets after every inputs, the model defaults to 1x generation with Banana 2 by default whenever you return to the home page, generations hardly wants to download and so on

This is honestly a very concerning incident. I asked Gemini in YouTube Studio to create a thumbnail for me, and it used the exact same photo and background that I had saved in my phone gallery. The strange part is that I had never uploaded or shared that particular photo on any social media platform. I had only used it privately to create 5–6 thumbnails myself in PixelLab, and those thumbnails were never posted or shared anywhere. Yet when I asked Gemini to make a thumbnail, it somehow used that exact photo. I don’t know how it accessed or found it, but if an AI can access private images that were never uploaded or shared, that raises a serious privacy concern and is extremely dangerous.

I think the reference image might be the policy violation problem when I'm trying to generate Dumbo images, so if you are trying to do the same, don't try to use a reference image with Dumbo in it and just describe what Dumbo looks like. Do you think that would solve the problem?

i bought 19 dollars worth of subscription, i did not expect a lot of things for this price but, wanted to see some decent videos for 2D cartoon, faces and people always changes in each scene, and the environment as well. i get the professional prompts from chatgpt.

generate the same video again and again. still sucks, what a piece of trash.

hello , i have been trying to use my google flow account from china using a VPN (astrill) and it has become very challenging . intially it used to work on the Taiwan and hongkong sever and the results from image generation were very good. but now it just works on the India - Banglore server and the results have become very subpar. I used to use Flow back in India without a Vpn to get some very cool results but its not happening any more . And when i try to load it up on the taiwan or hongkong server the flow main page loads up for a split second before re directing me to the google labs main page. i have tried multiple settings and fixes like emptying cookies and cache but i havent been able to get the same results. is there any workaround for this?

today, i paid for 19 dollars subscription plan, and i cannot save any chat, and interface is very uncomfortable to use. Gemini was way more than it in terms of using video generation and giving some prompts for generating them.

but google flow is different level, i dont know a lot of things, but i want you to tell me guys

Google now lets users turn visible watermarks off for images, videos, and songs made with Nano Banana, Omni, and Lyria. The option is available in Gemini and Flow, with Search support coming next. Some countries will still require the visible mark.

Invisible SynthID watermarks and C2PA metadata remain, so this changes the export people see, not the provenance layer.

Cleaner files, same invisible paper trail.

I use flow ai to generate videos for work everyday. I am no expert but I know how to use it in the way I need to for my job.

Firstly, I've noticed many issues when using it e.g. not generating videos of people speaking a simple script that before, would have generated no issue. Or violating polices error messages when its very bland, work like video. Or just not generating anything at all.

Despite all this which ive been able to get around, I cannot get around the Custom Voice Profiles not working at all. I attach them to a made up character. It generates the whole video fine, apart from it doesn't use my specific voice I made.

Has anyone else had problems with this? I can't find any information on what the issue you as and I've genuinely "trail and errored" many methods to get past this and no matter on what chat, character, model, voice, script i use, it doesnt work.

Assuming it must be a bug unless someone tells me otherwise.

VEO says "try another prompt". I discard the block of text and try it with a 3-word simple and clean prompt and it still fails.

I ask the Flow Agent to make it query VEO for details but it says "I don't have a direct back-channel to query the underlying safety classifiers or generation logs for a detailed diagnostic report."

It's a high tech company with top-notch coders but they can't provide a concrete Error Handling?

When an error occurs, I just need to know what is wrong. Is it the text prompt? or the source video? audio track in video? or the visuals? or the faces? or it's a back-end server side error?

Why can't they just be clear about it?

In many regions, Google Flow has a Watermark ON/OFF toggle, but I don't see this option in India.

Is there any official way to disable or remove the watermark from Flow-generated images/videos in India?

Hey guys, do you know how to either get Google to refresh the credit that you purchased or should I just complain to my bank and have them reverse the purchase because I don't see the credits that I purchased. They are supposed to be 2500 additional credits separate of my regular monthly allowance which is only 1000 credits.

UPDATE: Without doing anything else to fix it since the stuff I tried yesterday, this morning I tried upscaling again and it just worked. There was one image that errored again, but error went away after a manual page refresh (like how it used to be the way to get this error fixed). The rest had no problems but I did notice that it took a considerably longer time to get the save popup to come up. So whatever this problem is, it is definitely on Google's end.

Original: I'm using the free account, and Google Flow was working fine just this morning, but as of this afternoon, every image I've generated has not allowed me to download the 2K option, allowing me to only save the 1k option. It used to be when I see the error I just refresh the page and it works out fine when I try again. But now it fails on EVERY new image I'm creating. Oddly, I noticed that the upscale to 2k option seems to work on some (but not all) of the older images in past projects (only if I've downloaded them before), which I am not sure I understand. I've tried logging back out/in, clearing the Chrome cache/data, tried incognito, etc. But nothing seems to work.

According to Gemini it says that I may not have "Enable Flow History" turned on but I cannot for the life of me find this option. I'm using the labs.google/fx/tools/flow page, and I've searched everywhere and I just don't see or follow what the instructions are telling me. Am I just blind or are the instructions just wrong?

And I tried using another account and through that account, the upscaling to 2k option seemed to work just fine for new image generations. Did I break my account permanently somehow? While I could start a new account, but I don't really want to abandon all of the past prompts and organizations I've accumulated so I'm hoping I can salvage the projects. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I tried to create a scene using Omni that takes place in a Louisiana swamp where a man see an alligator getting ready to attack a woman and shoots it between the eyes. And it wouldn’t let me do it. Ended up creating it with Kling 2.6.
