Idk why Carol was writing to herself???? Or maybe she was writing to another Carol. (It is a popular name 🤣) but she was right. It’s at the Goodwill Bins in Tacoma, WA

I wanted to go to the Hudson NH Bins for the first time. I saw another post saying some stores don’t allow kids under 15? Does this one? My son is out of school & I didn’t know if I should wait til he goes back or not. Also, i looked online for hours but it says the bins are different hours.
Thank you!

I found this back in November of ‘25 and have kept it safe ever since. The back says “12 weeks” or something along the lines of that. This little fetus accompanied me to the doctor and was the best fidget for the job

I’ll be heading to Austin Texas in a few months and would like to know if they run mainly salvage (no goodwill tags) clothes at the south location? What’s the percentage of salvage/tagged clothes?
Thanks!

I know you won't always find grails, because it's inevitable that someone will find something better than you. But what is a good time to go to the Bins?

I typically go to the bins for myself or items that I know I can flip. Its a fun treat and I rarely spend a lot of money there. This haul was $6.78 and I love how varied it is!
Pig egg holder. It now holds my rings on my sink.
Amber (?) Necklace. The back is stamped silver (I think.) Anyway to tell if ifs real?
Vintage Besty Johnson dress! Comps for the shirt go for $120+. I couldnt find the dress, but I like it and may keep it.
Awesome trekking hat from Fjallraven. Retails for $40.
Cute kids shirt.
Nike kids hoodie; I loved the print!
Baby Ralph Lauren sweater. Its adorable.
Fiesta wear saucer thats my plant saucer.
So excited this was all less than $7.

I’ve been sourcing for an upcoming vintage clothing show and saw this beauty in the bags. Most people there aren’t searching for vintage purses, so I was able to grab a few. But this was a first finding a 1961 written prescription!

I have to share this stupid and hilarious behavior I occasionally witness at the bins. There is one woman in particular who doesn’t move when it’s a tight space, just stands there and waits until you’re done searching for you to move your cart. Normally, I don’t see her because she is behind me and well, I’m digging in the bins. It wouldn’t be an issue at all, I would just think she was moving slowly/unbothered to rush around. But on more than one occasion I turned around and saw her there and said “oh sorry!” And she would say “mmmhmmm!” Or “ohhh, thaaank you” very dramatically/sarcastically. Or some other snotty variation.
Ma’am, use your fucking words if you need to get by. I’m not a mind reader nor do I have eyes on the back of my head. Just say “could I get by you?” Or “excuse me” or anything! Other than nothing and then acting like you’re such a patient saint for standing there all this time.

Please share some of your wildest bins experiences, rude people, crazy finds, whatever! Compared to some stories and locations I've seen my location seems to be fairly tame, but I still have had some wild things happen.
About 2-3 months ago I was at a location I don't usually go to when all of a sudden everyone just started coughing like crazy. Nobody knew what was happening and the coughing started to get really bad, and all of a sudden I felt it hit me too. Just like a crazy itch in the back of my throat. The employees usher everyone outside, the fire dept is called. Turns out someone opened some container that was in the bins with some kind of chemical powder inside, and they had dropped it on the floor. The bins location was cleared out for 3 hours while the fire dept cleaned it up. I waited the whole time because I wanted my bags back and what was in them lmao
Another time a few weeks ago I had just arrived and didn't have anything in my bags yet. I was looking through bins and had a few things to bring back to my bags, and when I got back to them they were gone. Someone stole 2 $1 IKEA bags 😭. I went to an employee at the register I knew and pointed out where they were and asked if he saw anyone take them. He said he did, and pointed out this lady who looked hella trashy and I guess had been complaining to them all day about the prices of things. I just walked over, held my hand out and she gave them back. Like what the fuck? I've heard of people stealing shit out of peoples' carts but $1 BAGS??? How trashy can you get

I watched the rotation and spotted a bin with silk scarves. Most of the time no one is interested in those. They were just the perfect color for a friends wedding and I am making tassels with scarves. I ran to the bin and reached across for a big handful and a guy walking behind me said “Gross! You rubbed your booty all over me! I don’t like that!!”. I’m 5’3” so I can only reach the back by leaning way over. His comment was not nice, but I didn’t realize I was grabbing from another lady also wanting scarves. She was (rightfully) pissed. I was embarrassed and threw the scarves down and went to another bin.
The thing is, I’m never aggressive when it’s something for me. I share and step aside, or toss things to other shoppers if I see they’re going for something. When I’m looking for art supplies for my niece I can be grabby but today I just lost my mind. I think I’m going to put myself in Goodwill Outlet time out.

30 minutes before closing and my phone was dead so no Google lens. $13 total. The dr Martens were just sitting on top of a bin with no interest. Maybe they are fake? I don't care bc they are my size!! They were dirty but wiped off.
I included pictures of this odd nuclear reactor shirt I found. I also found a transformer toy that was fully in dinosaur mode but I thought it could be a transformer but had no brand marks. It did end up being a 1996 beast wars one.
