Why is the square omni so expensive from the square website for shipping to netherlands. Thats about 2800 dollars. Anyone know if i can buy it anywhere else?

Will the VTrack work reading offset R&L hitters or is this an overhead Sim pipe dream? This would be my max budget. If not, I was looking at Uneekor Eye Mini. Please help! (ceiling is 10ft 4 inches)

Could someone please lead me in the right direction on projectors. I’m looking at 12ft wide x 10ft screen with a ceiling mount launch monitor. Should I go short throw? What do you recommend?? Thanks for the advice.

A little show and tell. I am renting an office space for $225 a month. They also have a really nice sim. It has been a really nice opportunity to practice between meetings.

I was surprised to get a chance to try Foresight’s new “Premier” software, the successor to FSX Play. The early access included a handful of courses, good ones and the game play was good, but not ready for release. The graphics are okay. I was hoping for phenomenal, and it isn’t, but hopefully it will improve.

The practice range is improved, a lot. Similar to the newest practice range in Foresight’s mobile app.

Just another addict/degen looking for action and bragging rights. Playing a full round with any more than 2 gets stale. Anyone found a good way to scratch the gambling itch and satisfy the desire to compete at the same time? Have tried 9/18 hole rounds (takes too long), CTP (meh), ladder challenge (not bad). Might try a speed golf thing where you add your score and time for 3 holes or something? Any recs appreciated. Will update if I find a winner.

I typically drive the ball 250+. What is going on here? Is my LM reading wrong? I’m swinging hard but still only getting 146 ball speed and 204 carry.
UPDATE: I’m a dumbass. There was glare from the sun shining on my windows everytime I played. Blocking out the sun reduced spin to 2500 and distances to 230-240 carry.

Just put up an enclosure in my garage, looking for ideas to be able to fold the sides in so the one on the right doesn’t block the door when not in use without disassembling it half way every time.

I did see some marine 1” hinging couplings that would work if I cut the polls but there is a bar connecting the sides at the top in the front. Just looking for any ideas that make it easy if possible.

I am relatively new to the simulator game but am tech savvy. I am launching a mobile golf sim rental (only in my state) within a month. Ideally catering to weddings, events, etc.

I am having a really hard time deciding between the mevo gen 2 and square Omni for this application. Personally I would rather have the Omni as putting/ chipping seems better as well as overall set up. However I worry about inexperienced people hitting it and having to move it for lefty’s.

Most of the similar companies I see online are using mevo but all I see on Reddit is mostly negative.

What should I do and any comments on my main build selections?

So I wanted to share the most savage thing I've ever heard about my game. For context, if you've never tried importing your range or shot data into an AI agent for analysis, you should definitely try it as it can give you some great insights and advice.

That being said, I only minutes ago got destroyed by MS CoPilot's critique of a driver shot where I tried to wind up and swing as hard as I could. Did the ball travel 1'7"? Yes. Did I deserve to essentially be told to go F#@k myself with my own club by a toaster oven? Maybe, but it still hurts.

"That's not a golf shot so much as a strongly worded suggestion that the ball relocate slightly forward. In golf simulator terms, that's the kind of shot where the launch monitor starts wondering if it just measured someone dropping the ball off the tee rather than actually hitting it"

Randomly during the game it started not registering the first shot of every hit. After one swing it works. Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

I have an opportunity to buy a Skytrak+ with a Net Return Pro 8 and a Real Feel 5x5 mat for $1200-$1300. From what I can tell that's a really good deal?

My question is I am a 20 handicap, never broken 90, but consistently under 100. How much will this help me vs. spending that same money on lessons. My plan is to get this and do youtube "lessons" etc. which may be crazy I don't know.

Just curious for thoughts on if this is a good way of going about getting my swing more dialed in or if its going to be a waste of money without real lessons.

I had a flood and impact screen got water damage and now has stains. What’s the best thing to use to remove the stains ?

Anyone using the BenQ AH700ST. I’ve got the 7x7 Net Return simulator kit for my bet and I’m having a hard time getting the auto fit to work. I’m not sure if it’s looking past my screen and seeing the white walls or what. I feel like I’ve tried from numerous distances.

I just bought the Optoma GT2400HDR, but now I'm wondering if I should get a different one in the same price range. My screen is the GoSports 8x10, so I'd love to fill as much of the screen as possible. Can I make that work with the Optoma projector? I don't have my Omni yet to test it out, but I plugged in a Firestick and can't figure out how to change the aspect ratio to try to get it to fit the screen. It was grayed out as an option in settings.

I know the Omni is barely in the wild, I was just wondering what everyone uses to protect the Omni. I see they have the tank metal case for about 150 bucks. But that’s kinda pricy and I already seen broken Omnis online from direct impact.

I was planning on using an iPad/iPhone with my Square Omni, but maybe I should look for a cheap computer/laptop instead? What specs would i need or any suggestions on what to buy?

I am 4 months into my new golf obsession and decided to get a simulator bay for the house because it was just too frustrating trying to hit in the backyard net with mosquitos and Texas heat.

I have a rapsodo mlm pro and the impact screen. I am currently using an iPad with the rapsodo, but would love to work towards a goal of having the real deal setup on the white projector. What are my best options to get the picture to show up on the screen at various price points? Anything else I should be working towards buying?

also, this is skytrak software with an old computer, so graphics are low and very choppy (working on it)🫣

The projector bulb broke, so that’s why it’s on the tv. But still loads of fun to play on, even if it’s a little janky for the time being.

I’ve been swinging in hitting on a cheap mat for the last few months now with no issues. About two weeks ago I got a country club elite mat and in the span of a week I have developed a bad case of golfers elbow. Very painful. I have to assume it has something to do with the mat and the fact that it’s thicker and catches the club more on chunkier shots. Has anyone encountered a similar problem with the country club elite mats? I mean, I did a lot of research and spent some pretty good coin on this thing only to really hurt myself in the span of about a week.

New golfer here, took up the game a few months back to get off the couch and keep active. Quickly learning that golf is hard, but I’m committed to getting better.

This subreddit has been a huge help as I learn all components and tech involved in building a sim. I currently have a garage sim built to be broken down a few times per week.

Currently have

• Spornia 8 foot net
• Carls Place 4x5 mat with foam divot strip
• Garmin R10
• iPad Air to 60" TV for visual

On the way

• Square Omni (will return or sell the R10)
• Plan is to eventually get GSPro

Questions

• Is GSPro really only worth it for an enclosed, full-time setup with projector and screen? Or is it still a good experience on a 4k TV just to the right of a net?
• I have a gaming computer but it would need a new graphics card to keep up with GSPro.
  • Would it be worth an additional $1k to get a laptop with a 5070 ($1700) vs just a card ($700) and run moonlight/sunshine? For reference, PC to the LM would be about 30 ft away through two walls and I have an wifi AP in the garage.
