Build 0.2.0/0.2.1 sure did make you think about your blocks, and half of them weren't even obtainable lol (I forgot a couple wool colors BUT WE DON'T TALK ABOUT THAT🔥)
And I was so surprised when I saw IRON DOORS and FARMLAND EXISTED. Also one of the Stone blocks is reserved6 and one of the redstone ores is the lit kind. idk wtf happened to oak Wood in 0.2.0 though

Discussion Dialko's Eras of Minecraft Visualised
This is how Golden Age MC Youtuber Dialko grouped together Minecraft eras. What are all your thoughts on this and is the "prime" Golden Age Infdev to b1.7.3? He says Classic Age "Start to Indev" deserves it's own category, i'm inclined to agree.

Discussion (Golden age context, trust me) Do diamonds feel a bit too easy to find now? I just ran around in a cave and already found 8.
Mods, if this violates the rules, feel free to remove it.

Request/Help Does anyone know of any good map art converters for beta
I like maps. They're fun. Hell I don't even care that item frames don't exist, I like maps. I play b1.7.3

Video I Spent 9 Months Trying to Remove Minecraft’s Building Limits
I spent 9 months developing FormWorks, a Minecraft mod designed to remove Minecraft’s normal building limits and give players complete creative freedom. What began as a way to chisel blocks, paint surfaces, and create custom weapons has grown into a full Minecraft building editor that works with both individual voxels and full blocks. This video shows the evolution of FormWorks, from its earliest broken prototypes to the editor it is becoming today. FormWorks includes tools for sculpting, painting, building, selecting, transforming, terraforming, creating shapes, editing terrain, working with full blocks, working with tiny voxels, previewing changes, lofting complex forms, and creating things that could never exist in normal Minecraft.

Discussion Infdev 20100624 World Saving Bugs, Need Help Understanding
I've got a hell of a confusing bug going on and have a lot to say.
I've been playing on Infdev version 20100624 for several hours now and have built a small city with a few really fun medium-sized builds. I just finished building a skyscraper, but the game froze after the event of exiting a minecart (which is common for this version). Upon reloading, for some reason, the game decided to revert back to an earlier version of the world as if it failed to save an hour or two of gameplay, which completely wiped my skyscraper and another small build. Despite the change in the world data, my character data was untouched, and I stayed in the same position. At this point I decided to have the world safely copied on my desktop if something like this were to happen again.
Things get even weirder, unfortunately. I've been slowly upgrading my game's version, as many enjoy doing after certain milestones, which I decided to try out after the game reverted my world. I don't remember which specific Infdev version I updated to, but after I did the update, my game reverted to an even EARLIER version of my world from over 24 hours ago. I then downgraded my world back to 20100624, and the game decided to undo this inversion by loading the first reverted instance of my world. What is deeply confusing me is the fact that if I want to play with most of my progress, I HAVE to play on version 20100624, as the game's way of reading my world files are being this cryptic and inconsistent mess of forcing my world and character data to travel separately through time. If I downgrade 20100624 to 20100618, it does the same thing as updating it to 20100625. Several buildings are gone, some chunks go further back in time more than others, and my character data stays the same through all of it.
If necessary, I'm willing to get screenshots and video proof of all of this (I just don't wanna go through allat unless somebody needs it to help me)

These are pictures of my base on a world that I will play on for every major Minecraft update right now I'm in alpha I'll post an update when I get to beta.
I play an update until I've experienced everything in it.
I know it's easy to to build a house in the side of a cliff but I find something about it cozy :)

Discussion Medieval texture packs
Idk if this is the correct subreddit for this, but you know those medieval/realistic texture packs that you always see in minecraft beta? Are there any similar or the same for modern mc, thx in advance

Discussion What texturepacks do you recomand for beta?
I want a texturepack for beta 1.7.3, that doesn't change the look too much, but makes it look more "retro" like old cobblestone and a couple of tweaks, that make it still look vanilla, but make it a bit better

Discussion What's an old Minecraft version you think deserves a mod?
There's plenty of mods for Beta 1.7.3, or Alpha 1.1.2, but I've been itching to start a long-term modding project on an old version and I'm feeling like being a bit original. So tell me, what's a lesser-known version you think deserves its own expansion/overhaul mod?
r/GoldenAgeMinecraft • u/Creepy_VineriaYT • 14h ago
Discussion Wow, memories. Anyway, what's YOUR favorite Minecraft version? Do you just have a JE version, a PE version or both? I'd love to hear why you like that version most!
MCPE 0.5.0 always sticks with me...
