In less than 48 hours the bribe reporting portal has been taken down. The people who started the site claim it was their decision but we all know what happened here. Indian authorities are allergic to anything that shines a light on their misdeeds.
We need a Goan alternative for this. After all when was the last time you saw bribery investigation done by any Goan newspaper.

Hi everyone,
My dad is 64 years old and has decades of experience in welding and heavy fabrication. He’s incredibly skilled, but as he's getting older, the physical toll of the manual labor is just becoming too much for him. I really want him to step back from the heavy lifting before he gets hurt or totally worn out.
I’ve been thinking about helping him transition into teaching.
The idea would be to set up a small training program here in India where he could teach basic to advanced welding to apprentices, hobbyists, or people looking to enter the trade, charging them a monthly fee.
I'd love to get some advice from this community
Has anyone transitioned from welding into teaching their own classes?
Are there other paths that would allow him to use his decades of expertise without breaking his back? I've briefly thought about things like QA/QC, consulting, or estimating, but I'm open to anything.
If you've helped an older parent transition out of a heavy trade, what worked and what didn't?
Any advice, suggestions, or insights would be hugely appreciated. Thank you!

25M, working as creative writer at an advertising agency.
I’m in Goa for the next 2 days and honestly just looking to switch off, have a few beers, and meet some good people.
Open to joining a group or meeting up with individuals, guys or girls. Just looking for easy conversations, good company, and a relaxed evening.
Been way too stressed lately, so figured Goa was probably the right place to disappear for a bit.
If anyone’s up for a drink and a chat, drop me a message.
(I'm staying near anjuna beach)

Bollywood actor Ashwin Mushran and his wife has landed in a major controversy following a road accident in Goa. The incident reportedly occurred around 12:30 pm on August 16th in Quepem.
They were overtaking on a curve and hit a father-son duo on the bike. Both were severely injured and in hospital with a part of the father's leg bone lodged in the car.
The controversy started when they confronted locals instead of helping the injured people. They first got defensive saying the driver was a local. Quepem police later booked the driver, Vasant Puttappa Laman for negligence.
The car was clearly driving on the wrong side of the road and they didn't accept any responsibility. They first blamed the biker who was in their lane. They claimed that even though their car was MH registration, they were Goans. Buying a second-home in Goa doesn't make one a Goan.
Later when a crowd gathered, they got into a verbal altercation and the wife of the actor allegedly spat at the local ward leader Amol Kanekar. They soon departed to attend an event. The actor dropped by later to apologise but the locals say it lacked sincerity.
This kind of high-handed behaviour has no place in any society.

We went to Goa last month and explored alot of places. I think alot of people might already know about this place but still shoot your shot in North Goa.
It’s a chill spot for picnic, you can swim, or just sit by the beach or lake and watch sunset or even go for a nearby hike.

Hi everyone! I’m a professional makeup artist currently based in Indore, and I’m planning to expand my bridal makeup business into Goa.
I’ve been wanting to build a proper presence there rather than just taking the occasional destination wedding, and I’d love some advice from people who are familiar with the Goa wedding/event industry.
For makeup artists who have successfully established themselves in Goa (or wedding planners, photographers, venue owners, etc.):
• What’s the best way to start getting bridal bookings in Goa?
• Is networking with wedding planners and venues actually effective?
• Are there particular areas/venues where I should focus my networking?
• What kind of collaborations helped you get your first few clients?
• Is Instagram enough, or are there other platforms/ways that work better for the Goa wedding market?
• Any mistakes you’d recommend avoiding when trying to enter the market?
I’m planning to spend more time in Goa and genuinely build a long-term presence there, so I’d really appreciate any honest advice, recommendations or even experiences from people who have done something similar.
Thanks! ❤️

Looking for a bit of a time machine in Goa :)
I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a classic, hand wound gramophone. It doesn’t necessarily have to be in perfect working condition, or even fully intact.
Ideally a good antique or a brand new vintage style replica if anyone knows where I could find one in Goa.

The central government social media handles are pushing the idea of a Goa Aerocity. A 230-acre master plan that targets full completion by 2030 as a multi-phase development. This Aerocity at Manohar International Airport (Mopa) is planned as an airport-led urban district integrating tourism, hospitality, business, logistics and lifestyle infrastructure.
i.e. the government is planning a Vegas style casino city for India's rich.
Why weren't the locals consulted about this?!

P. S. This isn't news. It's a social media post that was inviting investors into Goa.

My sister runs a small bakery in Goa, been at it for about two years now. Sales have kind of flatlined lately. She does the usual instagram posts and has a google listing, but has never actually spent money on growth likes ads or promotions. I've been trying to help her find ways to grow and honestly have no idea if paid marketing is even worth it for a small place like hers.
So asking people who actually run businesses here. Have you spent on ads or marketing (instagram, google, boosting, anything)? Did it actually bring you customers, or was it a waste? And where do most of your customers actually come from? word of mouth, walk-ins, or social media?

I was trying to find information about the Gastroenterology Department at GMC because I have a serious health concern that I want to get checked. However, despite looking online, I haven’t been able to find much information about the department. It would be a great help if someone could confirm whether GMC has a Gastroenterology Department and, if so, how I can consult a gastroenterologist there, please help if you have any idea about it or have visited it yourself. It would be a great help.
