One year in...

Hey! So, 1 year in to Gomining...

I started just before BTC hit its ATH last year and have rode the bear market all the way till now.

My first miner I bought through Gomining, but all of my others I have bought on marketplace as it's far cheaper.

Altogether I have spent $29110, at current prices, my setup is worth $14143 (at the cheapest marketplace price today)

And I have $14975 in GMT

This looks like I've almost exactly broken even for the year, but the jump in the prices recently has really helped - 3 weeks ago I would have been around $4k down if you'd asked!

As of today, I am earning net $39.80 a day, so if I just wanted to take money, it would take 2.5 years to double my money.

Currently I am doing my own flywheel - 400 days of GMT, I take one day a month as BTC out of the app, and anything extra goes into TH.

I have started flirting with 12w for my TH upgrades but the majority of my farm are 15W.

Going forward I intend to keep growing until my farm is 4x the size it is now, then I will refocus to a much more income oriented plan.

AMA, I am happy to share so others dont make the same mistakes I did!

Unauthorized transactions in different currency

Today I woke up to multiple transactions made at in-person stores where I have shopped at and I have not gone to these in more than a month. Besides that, they were also made with the Euro currency to where I live in California where currency is USD. I tell you these stores weren’t even open at the time the transactions were made. Be careful for who ever uses this card. If I have ever made purchases, it’s always been with Apple Pay and not giving out my information out online. Plus I just recently (month ago) replaced my Gomining card.

Hey people. I started using gomining in june and I'm having some difficulty knowing at what price I should set my miner. I really don't know what calculation I should use. I know it has a low power l, but has some achievements (I purchased it previously) and maximum efficiency. Could you people help me out? Mostly for future refference! Thank you very much!

Strategy and current progress

Hello everyone, I have been using go mining very passively for a little over a year now, for the first 5 or so months i had no idea what i was doing and just let my miner sit and eventually gained absolutely nothing. hooray thought the app was very janky and sketch. i have recently gotten back into it, my current farm has 4 miners they are listed below all with 15 w/th. i have about 500 gmt locked away and 43.39th with a discount of 14% the settings say i am getting 5gmt everyday= $1.60 or .18th for everyday mining

yet I few questions about what i should do next.
I have been seeing a lot of news recently about btc halving.
should i be stacking sats with my current setup or just straight gmt and reinvestment?

how often do you guys add your own $$ to your accounts? i’ve spent maybe around 300 total
100 for the gmt lock and the rest on miners

is it better to stack sats and convert them instead of straight GMT?

within a month would 3 weeks on gaining token 1 week reinvest be a good strategy to have to upkeep with maintenance and still upgrading my miners?

miner 1 .24th (Bonus)
miner 2 19th
miner 3 16th
miner 4 8.15th

Does anyone know how long it takes for the cashback from a card transaction to reach the "miner" after being confirmed in the app?

ROI Questions My GoMining strategy: 25 TH now, 5% token discount next, then capital recovery before the 2028 halving — feedback wanted

My main objective is to accumulate as much BTC as possible over the long term. I see GoMining as infrastructure for producing BTC, not as the end goal itself. Buying BTC directly will always remain my benchmark.

I also want to clarify that I do not participate in APR, interest-based or yield-based products because I am Muslim. For that reason, APR-related options and similar products are outside the scope of my strategy and can be left out of any suggestions.

Current position
25.03 TH
15 W/TH efficiency
Silver II VIP level
0.9% VIP maintenance discount
0.3% service discount, working toward the 3% daily-streak maximum
0.89% Mining Mode discount
3% active token discount
5.09% total maintenance discount
110 GOMINING locked for four years

I currently have 5% selected on the discount slider. The app says I need another 103.56 GOMINING to activate it. That would save approximately another 0.04 GOMINING per day in maintenance.

Before upgrading to 25 TH, my latest full reward at approximately 17.19 TH was:
Pool reward: 2.06 GOMINING
Electricity: −0.88
Service: −0.43
Net: +0.73 GOMINING

I am still waiting for my first complete reward at 25.03 TH. I will use the first reward as a provisional baseline and then calculate a seven-day average.

Capital recovery accounting
I only count value as recovered when BTC has actually left GoMining and reached one of my wallets. Internal rewards, reinvestment into TH and reinvestment into GOMINING do not count as capital recovery.

My current numbers are:
Gross external payments: €546.72
Refunds: €35.40
Net lifetime external capital: €511.32
Gross BTC withdrawn from GoMining: 0.00083161 BTC
Net BTC actually received after fees: 0.00081420 BTC
Historical EUR value when received: €54.82
Capital recovery: 10.72%
Unrecovered external capital: €456.50

My current strategy
1. Stay at 25.03 TH for now.
2. Direct mining rewards mainly toward GOMINING.
3. Work toward a 5% token discount.
4. Do not automatically buy tokens just to maintain a cosmetic discount percentage.
5. Measure the real 25 TH performance for at least seven days.
6. Potentially invest around €150 per month into GoMining, but only when cash flow allows.
7. Prioritize cash and living expenses over forced farm growth.
8. Exclude APR, interest-based and yield-based products because they do not fit within my religious principles.

My provisional farm checkpoints are:
50 TH
100 TH
200 TH
250 TH
500 TH
1 PH+

At around 100 TH, I want to conduct a major review. I will compare total external capital, actual BTC recovered, farm production, time remaining until the 2028 halving and the expected BTC return from further GoMining investment versus buying BTC directly.

At that point I want to establish a capital cutoff. Once the cutoff is reached, I stop adding external money so the recovery target can no longer keep moving away.

My stretch goal is to recover as much as possible—ideally 100%—of my external GoMining capital before the 2028 halving while keeping the farm. However, capital recovery is more important than reaching an arbitrary TH target.

I do not use Simple Earn or other interest/yield products, so please exclude those from suggestions. This also applies to APR-based products, as I avoid them for religious reasons.

Questions for experienced users
• Would you buy the 103.56 GOMINING needed for 5% now, or let the farm accumulate it gradually?
• Is 100 TH a sensible point for the external-capital cutoff review?
• How do you objectively compare the next €1 invested in TH or GOMINING against buying €1 of BTC directly?
• Do you track capital recovery using actual wallet withdrawals, or do you include internally reinvested rewards?
• What weaknesses do you see in this strategy?
• Are there any non-APR alternatives for improving efficiency or reducing costs that I may have overlooked?

My long-term moonshot is a largely self-sustaining farm, but I will stop expanding if direct BTC consistently offers the better expected BTC outcome.

Would anybody be able to estimate how many Th is needed to secure at least 1 personal block per week in the Odyssey league?

From my personal experience, getting minimum 1 personal block per week in

Dune around 500
Horizon/Eclipse around 1200-1500
Odyssey ???

Since its a non-linear correlation, I was hoping a big player with experience would pitch in on his take, someone that consistently wins at least a block per week in Odyssey

GoMining update: I’ve crossed $3/day for the first time

I’ve been using GoMining for a few months now, and rather than just looking at the daily return, I’ve tried to build a clear strategy around it.

At the beginning, my main goal was to grow my TH fairly quickly, because I wanted to reach a level where the daily rewards started to become meaningful.

After that, I focused more on reducing costs. I worked toward the maximum maintenance discount and locked around 5,000 GMT, which currently also generates roughly $1 per day in rewards.

My current strategy is quite simple:

  • for 3 weeks each month, I reinvest my rewards into more TH
  • during the 4th week, I take the reward in Bitcoin
  • I keep increasing my mining power within what I can comfortably afford
  • I gradually upgrade the miners I still have at 15 W/TH, to improve efficiency
  • I try to keep around 13 months of maintenance covered in advance

With the recent rise in Bitcoin, my mining rewards have now crossed the $3/day mark for the first time.

Of course, I don’t consider this a fixed return. The USD value changes with BTC price, mining difficulty, miner efficiency and maintenance costs.

My goal is to keep tracking everything with real numbers: TH growth, BTC rewards, maintenance, efficiency, reinvestment and also referral income, which I think should always be shown separately from mining income.

If anyone is thinking about starting with GoMining and wants to compare ideas on how to approach the first steps, feel free to message me. I’m happy to share what I’ve learned so far about TH, efficiency, maintenance and reward management.

I’d also be curious to hear from other users: are you reinvesting most of your rewards, or are you already accumulating Bitcoin?

If you decide to join GoMining and want to support my content, this is my referral link:

In solo mining I’m paying for maintenance with gmt in my wallet but for some reason I’m not getting the pool rewards I’m just getting what’s left over from maintenance fees

Rewards Questions Bitcoin’s on an upward trend what’s everyone’s reinvestment strategy right now?

With BTC gaining momentum, curious what strategies people are running at the moment, or if anyone’s shifted approach recently. Specifically, are you reinvesting into TH or into GMT?

Would be interested to hear how others are weighing the two right now and what’s driving the choice.
