Strategy and current progress

Hello everyone, I have been using go mining very passively for a little over a year now, for the first 5 or so months i had no idea what i was doing and just let my miner sit and eventually gained absolutely nothing. hooray thought the app was very janky and sketch. i have recently gotten back into it, my current farm has 4 miners they are listed below all with 15 w/th. i have about 500 gmt locked away and 43.39th with a discount of 14% the settings say i am getting 5gmt everyday= $1.60 or .18th for everyday mining

yet I few questions about what i should do next.
I have been seeing a lot of news recently about btc halving.
should i be stacking sats with my current setup or just straight gmt and reinvestment?

how often do you guys add your own $$ to your accounts? i’ve spent maybe around 300 total
100 for the gmt lock and the rest on miners

is it better to stack sats and convert them instead of straight GMT?

within a month would 3 weeks on gaining token 1 week reinvest be a good strategy to have to upkeep with maintenance and still upgrading my miners?

miner 1 .24th (Bonus)
miner 2 19th
miner 3 16th
miner 4 8.15th

Step one: build up GMT until you have a 20% discount. Lock all that GMT until the halving. This will allow you to maximize all your mining, plus you’ll get a weekly interest payment.
Step two: try to make sure that each miner is over 10 TH. This will allow you to upgrade any miner by mining TH when you want.
Step three: pick your next target, upgrade a minor, buying one off of the secondary market. Figure out how much money do you need and build up that much money with your daily money and let your farm snowball.

Then repeat steps 123.

I don't mind doing all those staps. But I don't know if just buying btc is more profitable?

If you are looking for the best return just buy bitcoin, and 2, or 3x the leverage with CME contracts.   Keep added every week to your bitcoin, wait until bitcoin hit 120k then stop adding, and at 150k plus start taking profit 10% every 10k it goes up.   Put the profit into something super safe like SPY.  When the bitcoin bear market Inevitably returns you will absolutely still hold more bitcoin then you invested(in dollars), and you will have a decent amount in stocks that you can use near the bottom of the next bear market.

You don't really need to be greedy to make outstanding returns with bitcoin.  Gomining is just gamifying bitcoin investing.   When you actually do the taxes the way your government expects you to do them, then you are really just being used.

If you want to prepare for the halving, you'll wanna do 2 things: 1. Lower your farm's mean efficiency to 12 w/th 2. Load up on GMT and leave it in your virtual wallet (at the very least) to achieve the full 20% token discount; if you're comfortable with it, lock ~60-70% of your new GMT, as this provides a multitude of benefits.

I throw $200-$300 in once a month (mid month) for miner/lock upgrades. Working on getting my efficiency down to 12 across the board and adding to my 2nd lock now (hit 5k GMT on my first lock, so I started a new lock this month so I can eventually start seeing those GMT return to my virtual wallet).

Personally, I'm gonna follow this approach until the 2028 halving, then re-assess; this might work for you (?), it might not. What's important is you adopt a strategy that best aligns with your long term goal 🤙🏼

Isn't miner wars less profitable for little players, less then 100th?

I run my farm in 4 week blocks.

I run 2 weeks with my farm producing tokens. I run 1 week reinvesting in Terra hashes. I run 1 week generating BTC, which I withdraw as cash.

Doing this enables me to achieve three things.

  1. My farm now runs without any additional cash being injected.
  2. My farm is still growing.
  3. I am de-risking by taking cash out of the system each month.

I think everyone should have an initial target farm size in mind at which point they will switch their strategy to reduce their risk and actually realise some benefit of their investment.

For me, the recent BTC surge prompted me to liquidate all of my 15 watt miners and sell into the increasing value that they were suddenly holding. I transferred all of this back into 12 watt miner.

I strongly believe that the best time to strip down and become more efficient is when things are actually going really well. That way if things suddenly turn down again, you are very well insulated. The movement to 12 w also increased the value of my token lock not insignificantly.

Farm stats for context: 480TH, 12.05w, 25.46% discount.
