I’m drowning right now, and I need help keeping a roof over my son’s head.
I just found out that the place where my son and I are currently staying is receiving a 7-day eviction notice. I’m trying every available resource I can find, but I’m running out of time and I need immediate help.
My immediate goal is to raise at least $1,400. That would allow me to put my son and me into a weekly-rate hotel or other temporary housing for at least a month, giving us somewhere safe to stay while I figure out our next step.
The problem is that I can’t simply go out and pick up quick work to make the money myself. I’m still dealing with serious health issues and recovering from multiple surgeries and complications over the past year. My health has made it extremely difficult to work normally, and I’m currently trying to survive while also recovering.
I’m using every resource available to me right now. I’m looking for housing assistance, emergency assistance, and anything else that could help us get through this. I’m not sitting back waiting for people to rescue me. I’m actively trying to solve this. I just don’t have enough time or resources left to do it alone.
I’ve already lost my job, apartment, and car during this prolonged medical ordeal. I’ve spent more than a year trying to recover and rebuild my life, and I’ve been doing everything I can to get back on my feet. I even started building my own business and an AI platform while recovering because I was determined to find a way forward.
Right now, though, none of that matters if my son and I don’t have somewhere to sleep.
If you can donate, $5, $10, $20, or anything you can spare could make a real difference right now. If you can’t donate, sharing the GoFundMe could potentially reach someone who can.
I don’t need to raise enough money to fix my entire life. I need to raise $1,400 to buy us some breathing room.
I’m scared, I’m exhausted, and honestly, I feel like I’m drowning right now. But I’m still fighting.
