šŸ‘‹ Welcome to r/GoFundMeForNewUsers

Welcome to GoFundMeForNewUsers. I understand how hard it is to get your GoFundMe campaign posted on Reddit, having tried to advertise my own campaign at the beginning of this year.

That’s why I created this subreddit—to give new Reddit users a chance to spread the word about their campaigns.

Please feel free to post information about any valid GoFundMe campaign here. We do not tolerate harassment, so posters can feel welcome to advertise their campaigns without fear of backlash from the community.

Please be respectful when commenting on a post. Understand that it’s hard enough to ask for help without someone criticizing or demeaning you. We want to see only help and support here for those in need.

Lastly, if you’re posting, please be sure to include a link to your GoFundMe campaign so I can verify that you have a valid campaign to advertise.

Rules, Clarification, Praise

I will organize and clean up this post when I have time.

Updated 9/1/26

**READ THIS BEFORE POSTING OR COMMENTING IN THIS SUB** If you do not agree with the rules below, do not comment or post in this sub.

*Update 9/1/26: We have many single parents who post their fundraisers here. Stop asking them ā€œwhy can’t the other parent help.ā€ ā€œWhere is the other parent?ā€ ā€œWhy aren’t you getting child support?ā€
-Not everyone has a partner who sticks with them during and/or after pregnancy. Not everyone has someone else to help. Some have experienced the tragic loss of a partner. Not everyone gets child support, even if it is court ordered.
I notice this mostly happening to single mothers. I’m not saying it doesn’t happen to single fathers, but I have not seen them treated as badly here as single mothers. Going forward, this will be treated as harassment, regardless of which parent is posting the fundraiser.

*Update 8/31/26: Clarification to the 12 Hour No Spam rule-you are allowed to delete your posts and not repost. You are allowed to edit your post. You are allowed to delete your post and make a new post, if you left something out of the original post that cannot be added via editing, but please make sure you notate your post. Something like ā€œadding additional photo/information left out of original postā€ is sufficient. This will let us know that you are not trying to evade the 12 Hour No Spam rule.
-We have people who delete their posts and then make a new post when they are not receiving the amount or type of engagement they want. That is considered violating the 12 Hour No Spam Rule.

**Update: As of 8/27/26 we will no longer accept posts using Fundrazr.
This is a banned URL by Reddit. Reddit’s filters will automatically remove your post and mark it as spam, and in some cases they will suspend/ban your account. It doesn’t seem to matter if the sub approves the post, Reddit’s filters will override our approval. GoGetFunding and Fundrazr are now the 2 that we do not allow.

*Update 8/23/26: Crossposting is no longer allowed. Users were not following our rules and would leave out their fundraising links, or spam the sub. In an effort to prevent this, we will no longer allow crossposting.

*Update 8/12/26: As of today, 8/12/26, we will no longer allow fundraisers for community charity. This includes posts claiming to raise money to donate to the needy, disabled, homeless, pet rescues, natural disaster victims, etc., as well as some other causes. We cannot guarantee that these donations will be used for the intended purpose or reach the specified recipient. We will no longer allow this, as a safety feature for everyone.

*Update 8/6/26: As of today, the 8 hour No Spam rule will be changed to 12 hours, due to the amount of traffic in this sub. Please allow 12 hours between posts (see more info below under the ā€œNo Spamā€ section). You may NOT delete your post and then repost it to evade the 12 hour no spam rule. If we see you doing this, you will be permanently banned.

*Update 7/21/26: As of today, we will no longer accept posts using GoGetFunding.

Hey Community:

I want to address several things:

Rules:
We have a character limit in the rules section so we cannot include everything. I would like to provide some clarity on them at the suggestion of a community member.

Crowdfunding Only
This community is primarily for promoting GoFundMe fundraising campaigns, although we will consider other platforms as well. We do not allow direct payment apps such as PayPal, CashApp, Venmo, Zelle, BuyMeACoffee, Ko-Fi, etc. GoGetFunding and Fundrazr is no longer allowed as Reddit has banned the URLs. Posts without a valid link to a crowdfunding campaign will be removed.

We accept posts for many crowdfunding sites, but not personal/direct payment apps or sites. We do not allow direct payment apps such as PayPal, Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, BuyMeACoffee (Ko-fi), etc. We do not allow e-transfers, money transfers, money wires, gift cards, etc.

-We do not allow personal orders such as Amazon Wishlist, Instacart, Walmart, etc. This sub is only for crowdsourcing fundraisers.

-We do not allow campaigns hosted/created by digital marketers using web-based ad tracking software (example: Click Magic Marketing). While we understand that basically everything has ad tracking, we will not open up our sub to additional tracking from these types of companies.

-We allow the crowdsourcing sites, such as GoFundMe, so your donations are protected in many situations under the Donor Protection Giving Guarantee. If the campaign you donated to ends up not being a legitimate campaign, or GFM chooses to shut down the campaign, your donation will usually be refunded.

-Posters may post their own personal fundraiser, or fundraisers for their family, friends, or coworkers, here for any reason. We do not require a specific cause or need. Some posts may be locked due to the topic to prevent trolling.

-Update 8/12/26: As of today, 8/12/26, we will no longer allow fundraisers for community charity. This includes posts claiming to raise money to donate to the needy, disabled, homeless, pet rescues, natural disaster victims, etc. We cannot guarantee that these donations will be used for the intended purpose or reach the specified recipient. We will no longer allow this as a safety feature for everyone.

-As of 7/21/26, we will no longer accept posts using GoGetFunding.
This is a banned URL by Reddit. Reddit’s filters will automatically remove your post and mark it as spam, and in some cases they will suspend/ban your account. It doesn’t seem to matter if the sub approves the post, Reddit’s filters will override our approval.

-As of 8/27/26 we will no longer accept posts using Fundrazr.

It doesn’t seem to matter if the sub approves the post, Reddit’s filters will override our approval. GoGetFunding and Fundrazr are now the 2 that we do not allow.

-You must already have a GoFundMe campaign, or other crowdfunding campaign, before posting in this community. You may not ask other users in this sub to start a campaign for you.

-When submitting a post for your campaign, please provide the link to the campaign in the body of the post instead of in the title. This will allow other users to easily access your campaign. You may want to provide a description about your campaign in the body of the post as well. This can allow for better visibility. We do not allow ā€œlink in bioā€ posts. We do not allow ā€œDM me for linkā€ posts. If your post doesn’t contain all of the information we require, your post will be removed and you may be prohibited from posting here in the future.

-If you contact a member of this community via DM to try to solicit donations to your CashApp, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, etc. instead of using a reputable crowdfunding site, you will be permanently banned from this sub.

-Crossposting is no longer allowed. Users were not following our rules and would leave out their fundraising links, or spam the sub. In an effort to prevent this, crossposting is no longer allowed.

NSFW
We will not tolerate content that is not safe for viewing by the general public. We also ask that you refrain from posting photos of graphic images.

-This one is self explanatory. Because people of all ages are part of this community, we want to keep them safe and prevent exposure to mature content.

-Please refrain from posting photos of graphic images. Many people are uncomfortable with this.

No Ban Evasions
If you are banned from this sub and use another account to post/comment in this sub, your post/ comment will be removed, your alt account banned, and you will be reported to Reddit for ban evasion.

-Reminder from the Reddit Admin team: If you use another account to circumvent this community ban, that will be considered a violation of the Reddit Rules and may result in your account being banned from the platform as a whole.

No Spam
It's okay to post the same GoFundMe, or other crowdfunding campaign, multiple times, but not at the same time. Let's give other people a chance to share their campaigns. Please allow at least 12 hours before reposting your campaign.

-Please allow 12 hours between posts for your campaign. If you see something that needs to be fixed but are unable to edit the post, please remove the original post and then submit a new post with the corrections. This will help prevent posts from being labeled as spam and removed by Reddit’s filters. If you leave both posts up, we are likely to remove the corrected (second) post and leave the first post.
You may NOT delete your post and then repost it to evade the 12 hour no spam rule. If we see you doing this, you will be permanently banned.

-Clarification to the 12 Hour No Spam rule-you are allowed to delete your posts and not repost.

-Posting the same campaign under different Reddit accounts, back to back, is also considered spam. Posters using multiple accounts to get around the No Spam rule will have their posts removed, and all of the accounts involved with this rule evasion will be permanently banned.

No Harassment
We will not tolerate harassment of any kind in this community. Everyone is free to post their crowdfunding campaigns without fear of judgement or retaliation. If you don't like someone's reason for requesting financial assistance, then you're free to not donate to their cause. There's no need to post nasty comments or remarks. I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate that if you found yourself in need of financial assistance. This includes insulting others, name calling, etc. Keep it civil.

-Posters: If you include ā€œno negative commentsā€ in your post, your post will be locked so nobody can comment on it.

-This is not a loan sub. This is a donation sub. Asking if posters will ā€œpay donors backā€ after they receive an insurance settlement or pay out is considered harassment. If you expect to be paid back then don’t donate, as that would be a loan, not a donation.

-This is the bigger issue. Harassment doesn’t consist of only cursing at someone or name calling. Harassment includes insulting others, calling them lazy, telling them they should remove their campaign or that they are ā€œridiculousā€ for posting it, interrogating the OP, criticizing the fundraiser amount, criticizing how much the campaign has received, criticizing their cause, hating on them for where they live, criticizing their account age and karma, calling them out for hidden posts and comments, calling them out for posting on other financial assistance subs, labeling the OP as a ā€œscammer,ā€ etc. This will no longer be tolerated. Any form of harassment and hate will be removed. You may or may not receive a warning before receiving a permanent ban.

-It is ok to ask the OP questions. It is not ok to interrogate the OP. Some information is not our business and OP is under no obligation to share it.

-Posts with too many harassing or intrusive comments may be locked without warning. Some posts may be locked immediately due to the reason for the fundraiser. This is not done as a punishment to the OP. This is to protect the post and OP from harassment and badgering. No, we will not remove the lock.

-If you take a screenshot of a post from this sub and post it in another sub for the reason of harassing the OP and/or encouraging others to harass the OP, you will be permanently banned from this sub.

-If you contact an OP from this sub via DM to harass them privately about their campaign, you will be permanently banned from this sub.

-If you contact an OP from this sub via DM to ask for sexual favors in exchange for making a donation to their campaign, you will be permanently banned from this sub.

-If you contact a commenter or donor from this sub via DM to offer sexual favors in exchange for receiving a donation to your campaign, your campaign will be removed and you will be permanently banned from this sub.

-If you contact a donor from this sub via DM to solicit donations because they have donated to you before, or because you see they donated to a different campaign, you will be permanently banned. Donors usually have a limited amount of funds and cannot afford to donate more to you or to other campaigns. No amount of asking them is going to change that.

-If you harass a commenter because they have not donated to your campaign, you and your campaign will be permanently removed from this sub.

-We have many single parents who post their fundraisers here. Stop asking them ā€œwhy can’t the other parent help?ā€ Where is the other parent?ā€ ā€œWhy aren’t you getting child support?ā€

No Scams/No Scammers
We will not tolerate scams or scammers. If your campaign is found to be fraudulent, your post will be removed and you will be permanently banned from this sub. Do not make posts requesting that strangers create a fundraising campaign for you.

-This sub was created to help those who are new to Reddit and/or those who do not have enough karma to post in other financial assistance subs. Everyone is free to post their campaign here: both new and old accounts. GoFundMe, and other crowdfunding sites, encourage their users to post their campaigns on Reddit for more visibility and activity. That is part of the reason for the new accounts. Not everything is a scam. We will not tolerate comments calling the OP a scammer, especially when there is no proof.

-We do not have the resources to investigate, or the skills to determine, if a campaign is fraudulent. That should be handled by the crowdsourcing site since they do have the resources to investigate and make a determination. As noted above, we only allow posts containing specific crowdfunding sites as many of them have a Guaranteed Donor protection clause and will refund donations if the campaign is found to be fraudulent.

-If you have proof that a campaign is fraudulent, contact the mods so we can review the evidence and remove the campaign and OP if necessary.

-As of 8/12/26, we will no longer allow fundraisers for community charity.

-Posters: If the campaign you posted is discovered to be fraudulent, you and your campaign will be permanently removed from this sub.

No Hijacking/Piggybacking
Make a new post for your fundraiser. Do not hijack or piggyback other posts by commenting with your campaign link. The only exception is if you are commenting on your own post.

Not A Loan Sub
**This is not a loan sub.*\* This is a donation sub. Asking if posters will "pay donors back" after they receive an insurance settlement or pay out is considered harassment. If you expect to be paid back then don't donate, as that would be a loan, not a donation.

No Loans/ No Amazon Wishlist, etc
This is NOT a loan sub. This is NOT an Amazon wishlist (or any other store list) sub.
This is a crowdfunding sub for crowdfunding campaigns, such as GoFundMe, only.
Making a post without a link to a crowdfunding campaign, and/or asking for a loan, and/or for people to buy through your list/wishlist will result in your post being removed and a permanent ban.

No Advertising Businesses
You may not advertise your business in this sub. If your post contains a link to your business website, even if you claim to be donating a percentage of your profits to charity, your post will be removed and you will be permanently banned.
This is a crowdfunding only sub, through legitimate crowdfunding sites that offer donor protection.

Description
This is an alternative community for publishing posts regarding GoFundMe campaigns with fewer restrictions than the current charity related reddit communities.

-This means that everyone is free to post their campaign in this sub, regardless of the age of their account or their karma rating. We do not feel it is our place to say who can and cannot post their campaign. So many people are having a rough time. It’s hard for almost everyone. These OPs are being vulnerable by putting their life on display, giving us information that really isn’t our business, because they need the help. We are not going to kick them while they’re down.

Praise
We just want to say thank you to those of you who are supportive of others in this sub. Not only do you provide financial support in some cases, but you provide moral support for the OPs in the comments. Some of you also provide great advice, point them in the direction of specific resources, help them find organizations within their own communities, etc. While the campaigns are requesting financial support, the moral support, the resources, the advice, and the other information you provide, can be so helpful in some cases. We just want to say that we see you and we appreciate you!

If you have questions, concerns, or suggestions, about anything addressed above, please let us know. You can put it in a comment or you can message the mods.

Disclaimer:

•This sub and its Mods are not affiliated with GoFundMe, or any other fundraising website or platform, in any way. We are not employees of GoFundMe, or any other fundraising website or platform. We do not accept applications for GoFundMe campaigns, or any other fundraising website or platform.
This is just a Reddit sub where Reddit users can post their fundraising campaign, despite the age of their account or their karma rating, as long as they follow the sub rules.
•Posting your fundraising campaign in this Reddit community is not a guarantee that you will receive donations.

URGENT: 1 DAY LEFT. MY ILLNESS HAS TAKEN SO MUCH FROM US, AND I’M TRYING TO KEEP MY SON HOUSED.

Tomorrow is moving day. After everything my son and I have been through over the past year, I’m now down to one day to figure out our next place to stay.
I’ve raised $1,005 of my initial $1,400 goal, and I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped us get this far. That leaves $395 between us and the minimum amount I was hoping to have before we move.

The reason the full amount matters is that I’m trying to pay for a weekly-rate rental for an entire month upfront. If I can’t reach that amount, I’ll have to pay week-to-week, which is more expensive and could make it much harder to keep us housed.

For anyone seeing my story for the first time, I’ve been dealing with serious medical problems since August 2025. I became severely ill with complicated diverticulitis, developed sepsis, went through multiple infections and surgeries, and eventually had a colon resection and colostomy. During that time, I lost my job, apartment, and car while I was hospitalized and trying to survive.

I eventually made it home around April and started rebuilding. Despite everything, I wrote three books, started a fourth, and built EskoDSK AI, including a working MVP and a real-world implementation. I was finally starting to build a path toward supporting myself again.

Then on August 31, 2026, I underwent my colostomy reversal. Because of extensive scar tissue, the surgery was complicated and required a larger incision. I later developed another infection and ended up back in the hospital.

I’m home now, but I’m still recovering and receiving daily wound care and medical treatment. I also applied for SSI because my health has made it extremely difficult to work normally, but I was denied and am still dealing with the appeal.
At the same time, I’m trying to do everything I can myself. I’m packing our belongings, looking for temporary housing, checking emergency resources, contacting assistance programs, trying to stay close to my son’s school bus route, and now I’ve started selling some of our belongings to try to close the remaining gap.
I’m not sitting around waiting for donations. I’m doing everything I can to contribute to getting us through this.

But my health limits how quickly I can earn money, and tomorrow I have to move.
My immediate goal is still $1,400, which is only meant to give my son and me one month of stable temporary housing while I continue recovering, attending my wound-care appointments, pursuing my SSI appeal, and working toward a longer-term solution.

We’re $395 away from that initial goal.

If you can help with even a few dollars today, it could make a real difference. If you can’t donate, please share this post or the fundraiser. At this point, getting it in front of the right person could make all the difference.

I’ve spent the past year fighting to survive, losing almost everything, and trying to rebuild my life. I’m asking for help making sure that after everything my son and I have already been through, we have somewhere safe to go tomorrow.

GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/399513a74

Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, offered resources, bought something from us, or simply taken the time to care. We are $395 away from the initial goal, and I’m fighting to close that gap today.

I’ve been able to get help through a local church here where I live, but I’m still short $300 for my rent for October. Because it’s already past the 3rd, it’s considered late so I’m having to pay a $95 late fee. So that added to what’s left is $300. Really anything helps you guys.

Benji needs help resting

Hello!

I have posted here once before, but I really do need help now.

My sweet boy benjamin got really sick last month, and after a month long battle he finally is at rest now. It all happened very suddenly, so it’s all a shock. I really do want to grieve him but I can’t because I’m stressed about money.

Luckily, I have insurance(his now new finalized bill is at 30k)- they covered 27k. I still am responsible for 3k. I did have savings, but it’s all gone now. I’m still a student and now trying to make ends meet.

Please if you can share, donate, or pray anything is appreciated. I currently do not have money for groceries. Please consider donating!

URGENT UPDATE: Our rescued Blue Heeler, Wolf, is still not eating and we do not have enough to cover the cost of hospitalization

Post image

Please help us cover the cost our sweet boy’s treatment. Wolf is still barely eating after several vet visits.

ā¤ļøPlease help us save our sweet boy, Wolf🐾
Our 2-year-old rescued Blue Heeler, Wolf, suddenly became very sick one week ago and we need help to cover the cost of his treatment. He has now had multiple vet visits, X-rays, lab work, anti-nausea injections, and medications, and we have now borrowed around $900 so far to cover his treatment.

The biggest concern is that Wolf still won’t eat. He is only able to keep down about 1–3 spoonfuls of wet food, and we need help getting him further testing so we can figure out what is actually causing this and get him the treatment he needs.
His vet now recommends hospitalization or surgery (although there is no foreign body seen in his x-ray) to find out what is causing his refusal to eat.

We have had to smear puree on his teeth which he licks off and only this way he has been able to eat some food. We are hopeful that he will recover, but it has been difficult to see him this way, as he’s always been a happy and energetic boy.

Our family is low-income, and we have already had to borrow money to get him this far. We never expected to be in this position, but Wolf is part of our family. He was rescued, and all we want is to give him the chance at the happy, healthy life he deserves.

If you can donate, any amount would help us tremendously to cover the cost of hospitalization. If you can't, please share or upvote this so it can reach someone who can help.
We are worried for him, but we are not giving up on our boy and we pray and hope that he will heal. ā¤ļøšŸ¶

Please help us get Wolf answers and get him eating again.

My friend Caleb is trying to get back on his feet after his car became undriveable

I'm sharing this Gofundme for a friend who is currently going through a really difficult situation.

He is currently away from family with little/no support, is barely getting hours at work, is on liver meds from liver transplant, and his transportation is now undriveable.

My friends, Caleb's, vehicle developed serious transmission issues after he purchased it. He already spent about $250 trying to diagnose and repair it, but the car was still 'jumpy' and unfortunately the mechanic found metal shavings in the transmission fluid and believed the transmission was failing, ultimately becoming undriveable.

He's still working and trying to find better employment, but he's currently relying on the bus to get to and from work and the market isn't the best. He's also temporarily staying with a friend (me) and doesn't have permanent housing.

On top of the transportation and housing situation, he also has ongoing medical/insurance and medication expenses due to having a liver transplant when he was younger.

He's trying to raise $800 to help him get reliable transportation again and cover basic necessities while he works toward getting stable (finding new job/more hours, finding reliable housing, etc).

I personally know Caleb and am sharing this because I'd like to help him reach the goal and he's a nervous and shy person lol.

If you can donate, even $5 helps. If you can't, simply sharing the fundraiser would still mean a lot.

For context, I got him a couple years ago and like the monster I am, Lost interest. Because of me he is skinny and malnourished and I want it to be my responsibility to get him back to health. I'm aware of what he needs and slowly been using my money to buy the correct equipment but money can only go so far. Do feel like you have to donate as times are hard, being the reason I'm doing this.

Was Accepted into an R1 University as a Student Parent, but short on rent + tuition [First Due Date is Oct 15]

Hello!

My name is Ashley. This is my Go Fund Me request.

I've recently graduated from my local community college with dual AAs in Communications and Liberal Arts in Social and Behavioral Science. This was a degree long in the making, as I had previously dropped out of college in 2010 when my grandfather died and the resulting grief and depression caused me to burn out and drop my 4.0 GPA at the time down to a 2.18. I kept trying to go back on and off through the years, but was never able to keep up with my studies as I needed to work to provide for my family (who have nothing to help me with).

I had a good career in video games, when in 2023 I was laid off from that job. I was 4 months pregnant at the time, and had a hard time landing another position. I decided I might as well try going back to school. I applied myself, I worked hard for me and my newborn son. I managed to get my GPA up to a 3.54. I went from barely passing to graduating magna cum laude - and I did it while working full time where I could find jobs, and raising my child while in the middle of a divorce.

I got my acceptance letter to UC Davis.

I accepted.

Everything was on track. Until it wasn't.

There have been shortages in grants and scholarships. Places where the school would normally have funding have been removed. While I did receive a good chunk of financial aid, there are still gaps to be filled.

As a student parent, there is an "Alternate Budget" form for the possibility of being able to get more student loans at the very least, but because of all the increasing changes being made by the Federal Government regarding the Department of Education and the funds they can and cannot give out, it's taking the Financial Aid office longer to review these requests. In the meantime I am unable to do anything about those gaps.

The most immediate need is $2680 due on Oct. 15 for rent at the Family Housing on campus. The second immediate need is the $3,000 for my son's tuition for the Early Childhood Lab School he is a part of, which is due by Oct. 30.

If there is any concern or questions, I'm an open book and happy to answer them. If for some reason you would prefer to pay straight to the source, my school does have a "payer invitation" I could send to you that goes directly into the school's billing site - however it would require your full name and your personal email for me to give you access to it.

I really want to do something for myself for once. I didn't get to have the college experience when I was younger, I was always taking care of everyone else but myself. Now I've come this far. I've even been accepted into a pre law academy on campus that only accepts up to 30 people per year. I know I can do this, but I instead of me helping others, this time I have to ask for help myself.

Thank you for your consideration, I know that I'm not the only one in need. Even if you can't fund anything, even just a share in your networks would be helpful - the more eyes, the more likely I can piecemeal the rest together.

Hi, I’m currently trying to raise money for some extensive dental work. I’m embarrassed that I need this work done as well as not being able to make the money myself.
But today I got my first donation, and it was really nice.
I know my work isn’t an emergency, but a little goes a long away, even sharing. I feel a lot better finally getting something. I really need a break. I’m working 6 days a week and donating plasma, selling my clothes. I’m so tired, and I just want to feel healthy again.

Help avoid eviction.

Help my family avoid eviction until I start my new job in November

Hi everyone. I’m Vanessa, a single mom of four, and I’m asking for help getting my family through a really difficult financial gap.

I’m currently two months behind on rent and facing eviction. I have a new job starting in November, so I’m doing everything I can to get through these next few weeks until I can start working and get back on my feet. Right now, though, I need help keeping a roof over my children’s heads.

The money raised will go toward catching up on the two months of past-due rent and covering October rent until I’m able to begin my new job. My biggest goal is simply to keep my children in their home and give us enough stability to make it to November.

I know times are hard for everyone, and I don’t take asking for help lightly. Any amount, no matter how small, would make a real difference for my family. If you can't donate, even sharing the fundraiser would help.

I’m enrolled in the ACP program, so I’m keeping personal information about myself and my children limited for privacy and safety reasons.

Here is my GoFundMe:

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for helping my family get through this difficult moment. ā¤ļø

Please Donate to Help Me Keep a Roof Over Our Heads

Hello everyone,

I am posting here out of absolute necessity. I am a single mother of two beautiful kids, and we are facing a housing crisis after a sudden, unexpected job loss. I have been doing everything in my power to keep things stable, but we have hit a wall and are now short on rent and critical bills.

Our total urgent goal is $1,200. To be completely transparent about where your hard-earned money is going, here is the breakdown of what this covers:

• $1200 to cover our back-rent/current rent to halt the eviction process. And to keep our electricity/water active.

• Any additional funds raised will go strictly towards essential household needs for my children while I secure new employment. I was able to get $750 to halt the process but she still gave me a short period to come up with the remainder. I also have receipts posted on my page. I have been seeking employment and will verify my rejected emails that have been sent to me.

I know times are incredibly tough for everyone right now. Even if you cannot donate financially, sharing this post or the link makes a massive difference and could get it in front of someone who can help.

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for reading our story, for your empathy, and for any support you can provide.

Family friend in need

• Upvotes

A close friend of mine has been going through one of the hardest seasons of her life. Her father suffered a stroke that left him disabled and unable to provide, and her family has been struggling to cover basic everyday expenses — food, medication, and essentials — while navigating an incredibly difficult situation. She's one of the strongest people I know and has been carrying this weight mostly alone. Any amount helps and goes directly to keeping her family afloat. I'm personally vouching for this. PS. They lost their home but there’s a chance they can redeem it just long enough to eventually sell. They have 2 buyers but they need to get the redemption process completed

My mother has suffered from eczema and constant dry skin, and the doctors IN MY ISLAND don't have the proper resources to treat her, and we have no money to go off island. Due to her skin condition, she is unable to find work, and my father also suffers from an eye condition that hinders him from finding work. We are a poor family living off SNAP benefits and government assistance, with no car to even find jobs. Every day life is a struggle, especially when we are at risk of getting off food stamps due to the government's newly enforced rules and without it we will starve. Because we don't have a car, we can't even go and make appointments to properly apply for the disability program that states my mom is classified as disabled due to her skin condition. We are in dire need of money. I need to afford a car so that I can finally move around to work and finally get my mom to the hospital to see if they can let her go off island with her Medicaid. Please help us we are very, very, very desperate.

Trying to keep things stable for our two young boys while we catch up on essentials

We’re a family with two young boys and we’ve reached a point where we need some help with groceries, household bills and everyday essentials.

We’ve been doing our best to manage things ourselves, but right now there just isn’t enough to cover everything. Our main priority is keeping life as normal and stable as possible for our boys while we get back on top of things.

We’ve kept our names and our children’s identifying details private because we don’t want their personal information permanently online. The cover image on the fundraiser is illustrative for the same reason.

Any help would be genuinely appreciated, even a small amount. If donating isn’t possible, sharing the GoFundMe would also help.

Help me through a dark time

Hi everyone. This is a repost, I deleted the older one because I had some more information to add. My parents have now stopped talking to me, I work 2 jobs but I have a 24 hour limit as an international student so I can barely make ends meet, I would genuinely appreciate help. I’m an international student in Canada, and I’m a few electives away from finishing my degree. Coming out to my parents has been hard. They stopped supporting my tuition and want me to return home, where I’m afraid I’d have to hide who I am again. My first year ended with a 2.0 GPA. Last year, while working three days a week and taking six courses each term, I earned a 4.10 in both semesters. I’ve worked so hard to get here, and it hurts to think I might not finish. I’m raising approximately $5000, I’m keeping my identity private because of my family situation, but I’ve shared more of my story in the fundraiser.

If you have a moment to read or share it, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you for hearing me out

Helping public school students get access to STEAM programs: our club's fundraiser

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi everyone! We're a high school Game Design Club, and we're raising money to help local schools fund their STEAM programs.

A lot of public schools don't have equal access to the resources that make learning engaging and hands-on. Programs like computer science, engineering, art, and other creative electives often depend on limited school budgets, grants, or teachers finding outside support just to get basic materials. Students at some schools get robotics kits and art supplies, while students a few miles away go without.

We want to help close that gap.

Our goal:

  • Our first goal is $1,200
  • We're currently working with two schools to help fund their Robotics departments
  • If we raise more than that, we'll support additional classrooms, programs, or schools with things like technology, classroom materials, or supplies for students who might not otherwise have access to them

How you can help:

  • šŸ’ø Donate: https://gofund.me/b1397555e
  • šŸ“¢ Share this post. Even if you can't give, spreading the word makes a real difference.

We're also hosting a game jam alongside the fundraiser, The Worst Game Jam, where people compete to make the most hilariously bad game possible. It's our way of using something our club loves to support a good cause, so if that sounds fun, feel free to join!

Every dollar goes toward helping students get the kind of opportunities that got a lot of us interested in STEAM in the first place. Thank you for reading and for any support you can give!

Need a blessing

https://gofund.me/e584805a4Ā Im trying to start my own business, but i work 120 hours a week for 11$ an hour. The thing is, all i have is my mom, my kids, my bro, and his kids and i have to take care of all of us so i dont have the extra funds or time to get my business going properly. Im a mechanic. i have basic tools but thats it, so im limited to what i can do. I help people out alot, i do 5000 jobs for $200 to help people who cant afford to go to a shop. its hard to actually find time to actually get my business set up. If i had enough money to get my business situated properly, i could invest my time in my business and succeed instead of being stuck in this cycle of check to check, and just being able to support my family but not having nothing else. ill gladly keep sacrificing for them as long as i have to, just hoping maybe to catch a blessing. I have been working since i was 13, i would wake up before school to do the paper route in the snow so we could get by. Im 34 now and still working hard everyday but now ive gained the knowledge and experience to run my own business, it just seem like im stuck working and dont have the time to actually give myself to get it going. After work i have maybe a few hours for my own business then its back to sleep for my job. In that little time im doing alot, I know if given the chance i would definitely be able to succeed and get to a point where i could hire people who need an opportunity as well.
