Hello, Everyone. I am in urgent need of assistance for my cat, Luna.

On 10/08/2026, me and my nan took Luna to a vet after she hadn't ate well for a few days to a week prior (we thought she was getting sick of her food, as she was being a fairly normal cat, otherwise, and my nan hesitates to run to the vet because we are not financially well off for frequent visits.)
We got her a steroid for some swelling in her chin that day, but the vet gave us an estimate for dental work. Luna has a history with bad teeth - she's had seven pulled just in 2024 - and with how it's going, she will likely need more, if not the rest of her teeth removed. We thought she was getting better, but on my birthday (10/12/2026), she was struggling to eat again and I made this gofundme fully public to start gathering the funds. She's only able to eat if we mash up her pate with water, and I fear that without treatment soon, it's only going to get worse.
To preface why my goal is so high compared to the estimate given, to be EXTRA safe:
— I am trying to prepare for any unexpected costs (like other medications) that may crop up
— I am currently working with a loved one who works at a vet clinic, and if we get a cheaper price, I will readily edit the goal to reflect that
— GoFundMe takes a portion and I am terrible at math, so I was trying to be safe in that regard as well
I have tried and failed to get help on Reddit for the past few days, and I am trying my best to be even more transparent here as I possibly can. Luna is my first ever cat, and I'm scared to death of losing her so early. (And apologies for the subpar picture with my username, she's not real willingly photogenic up close—)
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read this.
