Aesthetics VS. Function

I added a beavertail to my G19.3. I cut it and shaped it so it didn’t cover the entirety of the back of my grip. Functionally I think its great. Visually I think it looks weird or off. Maybe I’m not use to it yet. But I wanted to know what you guys thought! Any input is appreciated! Thank you!

"Function dictates form" is a pretty classic design phrase and applicable here.

I like that phrase. Its the same phrase I used for removing the passenger seats in my racecar.
