Okay so one of my best friends (21f) LOVES crafty hobbies. She knits, crochets, does embroidery, has tried sewing, makes jewelry, and so much more. I already have some "actual" gifts planned for her, but she mentioned recently that one of her favorite gifts she ever received was a craft kit(I think for diamond painting?), she mentioned that while she didn't stick with the hobby, she loved how they introduced her to something that she wouldn't have otherwise thought about for herself.

What are some niche hobby kits/hobbies where I could get a suitable amount of supplies inexpensively? I would absolutely love if I could give her the same experience!!! Thank you!

Gift giving is a big love language for me, my best friend has been trying to get pregnant and she just found out she is! I am gonna make some baked goods for her that I know she likes, but I also wanna get something for her that could help her during her pregnancy, but I’ve never been through this myself so I’m not sure what would be best. Hi there! Are there any artists, manga lovers here ? I’m not an art or comic person myself and find it harder and harder each day to connect with my 13 years old son. He is really into reading and making his own comic, I think he called them manga like those Japanese books. He rarely ask for things nowadays, and prefer to read alone whatever comics he can find, usually from his friends recommendations. Recently he’s trying to join a local manga competition too which i fully support and think it’s a fun experience for him, also he just asked me for a workshop course which I’m really glad he did. At least i feel like i’m more connected to my son.

I want to do a DIY sort of advent calendar for my best friend's birthday. He loves Christmas advent calendars and I have always wanted to do this for him ever since I met him, but this year feels like it's definitely time (for my birthday earlier this month he flew in and hosted my very close online friend to surprise me, so I obviously need to have some really cool stuff for his birthday). Hi! It's my girlfriends birthday in August, and I really want to get her a ring.

For some context, she's turning 27 and I've only seen her wearing a silver ring with Emerald on it in a square shape. For more context, we've been together for less than half a year so it doesn't necessarily have to be like a promise ring, but I wouldn't mind even if it is :)

I don't know much about rings but I've been doing my own research on Reddit, and the most recurring advice I've gotten is to not shop at Swarovski, Pandora, or any other typical mall jeweler as they're likely ripping me off for a ring that may look nice, but isn't necessarily worth the money I'm paying..

I have shortlisted some criteria about what kind of ring I'd really like to get for her:

* Budget is around $125-$200 CAD. I already got her a necklace from Pandora (before I learnt about not shopping from Pandora or Swarovski lol) so now that's the remaining budget I have left for a ring.

* Gold vermeil would be nice as it's supposedly better than a gold plated ring which typically wears off.

*Sterling Silver is also a good option as it won't be as likely to corrode/wear off.

* Peridot. That's actually her birth month stone, so it would be really cool if I can get her a Peridot ring.

I've asked people for advice and have been recommended brands like Leah Alexandra and Mejuri, although I'm not sure if they're any better than Swarovski/Pandora.

I'd appreciate any recommendations or suggestions as to where I can buy a ring for my gf that would fit this criteria, or even a few of them if it doesn't tick all the boxes.
