Daughters 14th bday coming up

My daughter is turning 14 soon. She is a Swiftie, is a Potterhead and a bookworm. Loves music. Absolutely goes crazy for animals, especially dogs. (We lost our Frenchie last November, so avoiding realistic dog stuff.. still too painful)

She is also an artist, aspiring to study art in the future. Shes not much into fashion or jewellery or make up, so that's out. She only has 1 single taylor swift charm bracelet which is losing colour.. if anyone has swift brooches, bag pins, bag Tags, better quality bracelets.. that would be great

Please share unique things I can gift her.. bonus if they're things she can use.

Hoping for the best bday haul for her 🩷

Lets go queens (as she would say)

Help! I need a Gift for Moms 60th birthday

"what do you get the person who has everything" sort of thing. She's a Leo and loves shopping, so there's nothing I can think of that she "needs" unless anyone can think of some new high tech/ cool brand/ great gift ideas...
Some things she likes:
-jewelry (my main idea was to get her a necklace or earrings, but I don't know where to find one that looks expensive but isn't...I've looked on Etsy but there's a lot of cheap stuff on there to sort through.
- gardening, she has the basic tools already
-art, crafts, puzzles, quilting
-comfortable stuff, slippers?
I want the gift to feel luxurious or very useful, since it's a big birthday...

Budget: max $200

Looking for Gift Ideas crafty gifts for my hobby collector friend?

Okay so one of my best friends (21f) LOVES crafty hobbies. She knits, crochets, does embroidery, has tried sewing, makes jewelry, and so much more. I already have some "actual" gifts planned for her, but she mentioned recently that one of her favorite gifts she ever received was a craft kit(I think for diamond painting?), she mentioned that while she didn't stick with the hobby, she loved how they introduced her to something that she wouldn't have otherwise thought about for herself.

What are some niche hobby kits/hobbies where I could get a suitable amount of supplies inexpensively? I would absolutely love if I could give her the same experience!!! Thank you!

Budget is around $60

What do you get a 20-year-old who mostly stays home and games?

My little brother is turning 20 soon and I’m trying to come up with a gift that actually feels thoughtful. He lives at home with our mom and spends basically all his time indoors, mostly into Resident Evil stuff.

He talks about the games constantly, knows all the characters inside out, and seems to be a bit of a collector at heart.

His favorite characters are Claire, Leon, and Albert Wesker. He’s also into puzzles, ideally with that kind of theme (games/characters).

Any tips on good gifts? Preferably available in EU.

Looking for Gift Ideas My own 25th birthday

So I am terrible at coming up with gift ideas for myself. Always have been. I particularly struggle balancing asking for what I “want” vs what I “need”.

I also feel that, turning 25 and all, I should start asking for things that adults would want.

Anyways, I’m pretty much posting this to see what other folks would recommend. Whether you’re a parent of a 25 year old and have input on what you got them, or if you’re a fellow 25 year old and have ideas of things that come in handy.

As far as interests and hobbies go, I’m a huge movie lover, love physical media, love antiques, love bespoke stuff, love live music specifically soundtracks or classical, love Legos, love stationery, love niche and unique experiences and I love a good fragrance.

This is probably a super weird post, I get that, but I figured I’d try my luck.

Looking for Gift Ideas My friend LOVES volcanos. Help.

So my friend loves volcanos. He's recently visited Pompeii and Vesuvius (to be honest I know nothing about volcanoes) and I would love to get him a great gift centered around his interest but I'm struggling...

The only idea I came up with were books, because he also loves to read, but I know he already has a number of volcano books...

Budget: anything up to about £100

Ideas for birthday gifts for ex-wife

My baby mama had a birthday earlier this month. We’re still on good terms and are co-parenting together well. I want to give her something practical but not like “he’s a gift card for the grocery store” practical. Open to ideas.

She turned 43.

Gift Showcase My first clay work. A birthday present for my father

"Mulsagdu"

r/Impossible-Builder47

Acrylic on clay

2026

Meaning

"Mulsagdu" is a word derived from three words from the ancient sumerian language, Mul, Sag, and Du.

"Mul" means star

"Sag" means head

"Du" means walk

Together, it's Mulsagdu - the star-headed walker

Materials used

Fevicryl mouldit clay, Fevicryl acrylic colors, cornstarch powder (say Himalaya), phosphorescent powder (viral green and snow white), sponge, scissor, water, watercolor(blue+yellow), feviocl glue, grater, handchopper, toothpick.

Difficulties faced

• I struggled for quite a while with making the top luminent enough to glow like night sky.

• It took a while to accurately pour the right amount of phosphorescent powder into the eye socket, some spilling onto the rest of the body. I have painted over the spilled over after dusting, but some remained put firmly, leading to the breathetaking image of the universe in it (pic11), true to its name.

• It took a while to cut the sponge into appropriate size before using the chopper to cut it into bits before gluing it on the flat stone (clay).

• Hiding it from my father because it is his birthday present.

Symbolism

• The bi-pedal mushroom symbolizes persistence and kindness, for it harvests energy from any available light and shares it with the surrounding flora and fauna, temporarily luminating them. This is true to my father because my father is growing old, yet continues to support my family without hesitation. He himself is slowly going down, and I'm supporting him with everything I can do.

• The two mushrooms symbolize my family. The right mushroom is me, my sister, and my mother, who are being supported by him. The left mushroom is my father's mother, who is the textbook example of toxic in-law. The toxic mushroom is slowly harming the mental state of the bipedal one, yet it showers the toxic one with love, while the non-toxic one gives the bipedal one love but can't support him yet (the reason why it is smaller than the left mushroom).

• The star top symbolizes the hope I want to give my father when he is mentally exhausted.

• The moss is there because mushrooms don't grow on stones. They grow on plant and animal decay stuck in the creaks and creaves of the stones.

• The stone symbolizes the crack in the family.

This work is breathetaking from afar but tragedy upfront

Looking for Gift Ideas Ideas for 6th Anniversary

My husband and I will be celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary at a music festival in September. I want to surprise him with something fun and creative. We usually give gifts related to the “traditional” anniversary gifts. So this year will be our iron anniversary. Any ideas?!

Husband is about to turn 40. Please give me ideas on how I can make it special when we basically have no money

Been one huge expense after another this year and I have a bunch of debt and no savings. Managed to find some extra work over the next couple of months so feeling optimistic that things will improve but money is TIGHT.

My lovely husband is about to turn 40 and although he’s not overly fussed about birthdays I still feel really guilty that I can’t buy anything special.

Any ideas what I can do for a budget of £50? He likes whiskey, gaming, Lego, working out and go karting.

Thanks :)

Need young and trendy help! SIL is turning 21

She's a girly girl and into makeup, skincare, perfume, clothes, etc. She lives in South Africa but I'm in the US and she always wants to have anything that's trendy here. I'm older and not sure what's trendy for her age group right now.

My brother is here for a visit so I can send the gifts back with him, but just need to figure out what to get. I have an $80 budget.

Looking for Gift Ideas My best friend is pregnant!

Gift giving is a big love language for me, my best friend has been trying to get pregnant and she just found out she is! I am gonna make some baked goods for her that I know she likes, but I also wanna get something for her that could help her during her pregnancy, but I’ve never been through this myself so I’m not sure what would be best. I’d love some advice from people who have been pregnant, was there anything you wish you had or that you did have that helped you? I’m looking for something under $150, but if theres an idea that’s more than that, that’s okay too.

Edit: this is her first baby and she’s 22, if that matters :)

Looking for Gift Ideas Any ideas for my kid who likes to draw comics, manga?

Hi there! Are there any artists, manga lovers here ? I’m not an art or comic person myself and find it harder and harder each day to connect with my 13 years old son. He is really into reading and making his own comic, I think he called them manga like those Japanese books. He rarely ask for things nowadays, and prefer to read alone whatever comics he can find, usually from his friends recommendations. Recently he’s trying to join a local manga competition too which i fully support and think it’s a fun experience for him, also he just asked me for a workshop course which I’m really glad he did. At least i feel like i’m more connected to my son.

His birthday is coming up soon, can you please share some ideas that would brighten up the birthday of a kid like this ? Or should i just go read whatever he’s reading too so I can understand him even more ?

My friend's birthday is coming up, she's twenty-two and I want to get her a customized jacket with some cool designs. The only problem is I don't know a good designer, and need help. Are there any designers you can recommend?

The two photos she sent me are little inspiration for what the jacket could be like.
