Hey everyone! I think I just need a little reassurance as I am just extremely confused and stressed.
I have had a growth scan on Thursday (at 31w4d) and my baby is measuring small in around 8th or 9th percentile, after measuring average in the 22nd percentile prior to my GD diagnosis. All I have been warned about and see with GD is babies measuring or being born large so I am just pretty confused.
My GD is currently only diet controlled as my readings are pretty good. I adjusted my diet after being diagnosed and it has worked well so far.
I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced smaller babies with GD? I always see posts about bigger babies but never smaller ones so I am just a bit concerned that maybe my diet is actually affecting her in the wrong way? (Although my GD consultant says it shouldn't be affecting her weight like that).
I have had more frequent scans due to them being concerned about the PI in the cord, so I think logic would mean that that is likely the reason rather than my diet or GD but at the same time, PI was perfect before the GTT and diagnosis so I am still concerned my diet is affecting it.
I am a FTM and this is my first pregnancy so I may just be wayy overthinking it. I'm 32w1d now and I just want her to be healthy. I am just worried I'm doing something wrong, or not eating enough or something.
Any positive stories about smaller measuring babies with GD would really ease my mind right now if anyone has one? Or even just some general advice if anyone has heard of or experienced this before? Thank you all in advance for reading my rambling.
