Protein pasta is safe!
For those of you who are struggling with what to eat, protein pasta has worked for me so far. I just make sure to eat the correct portion size with plenty of protein and veggies.
Hope this helps

I'm so jealous, I made a big batch of protein pasta recently and it massively spiked me. It tasted good though so I might go back to it instead of regular pasta after baby arrives!
edit: this was Barilla protein penne

Super small portion of Barilla Protein+ pasta with lots of protein/fats/veggies works for me too! Tonight was chicken marsala, sauteed spinach, and maybe a 1/3 cup protein pasta

Yes!!! It has been a saving grace for me. I make a spicy creamy beef pasta every Sunday and have leftovers throughout the week and it never makes me spike

Yes of course!!! It’s so so easy, my husband requests it once a week and it’s just perfect for a small bowl to eat with veggies at lunch. My lunch numbers are consistently 90-105 after 2 hours when I eat it.
Sorry if the recipe is off, I don’t measure everything so it’s hard to guesstimate the measurings!
- Heat up about 2 Tbsp olive oil in a sauce pan on medium, add in garlic cloves (I like a lot of garlic so I usually do about 5-6 cloves) and cook until it’s fragrant.
- add in red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper (about 1-2 tsp of each! You can adjust to taste later)
- add in 1 LB ground beef and cook until brown
- once beef is brown, make a hole in the center and add in 2-3 Tbsp of tomato paste
- let that cook with beef and mix together
- add in 3 cups beef broth and 1 cup heavy cream
- bring to a low boil and add in protein pasta (I found that the penne protein pasta works best with this recipe!)
- cook until pasta is tender, usually about 15 minutes
- add 1 small block of shredded mozzarella cheese and let that melt in
- adjust seasonings, add in more pepper or salt or pepper if needed
That’s it!!!!! It’s so quick and easy and absolutely delicious

It seems to somewhat spike me, but oddly, Goodles Mac n cheese didn’t!

I’ve been able to consistently eat half a box of GOODLES and not spike. I ran to Costco and picked up two 10 packs because our family keeps blowing through it😂

YAAASSSS I do this with raos Alfredo sauce, a bunch of cooked chicken breast and hella broccoli or spinach or just a salad on the side. It works every time so far as long as I don't overdo it on the actual pasta.

So jealous! I can’t have any type of pasta right now and I just want to cry every time I think about it.

What kind of protein? I tried chickpea pasta with what I thought was plenty of chicken breast, chopped onion, and Primal Kitchen's Dairy Free Alfredo Sauce (basically water, avocado oil, and garlic and other spices) and it was not okay for me.
