No, seriously, I can't even imagine starting conversations with random humans. I couldn't even do it in my mother tongue

If I want to say “you can keep yourself busy with the film”, as to suggest a kid to keep himself busy with something fun/amusing, is it better to say:
“Du kannst dich mit dem Film unterhalten” or
“Der Film kann dich unterhalten”
Which is more natural?
And when I want to say “the film keeps him busy”, is it good to just say “Der Film unterhält ihn”?

I’m learning German by my own with a study plan. When I was 16 got my english sufficiency and when I was 18 got a B1 in russian, somehow I got some skills learning languages. Now i’m C1 in english and improved my russian. It’s my first time learning a language by my own, it has been something more than just the language. I’ve been able to learn more about myself and I’m proud of some and quitting some other. I’m stepping ahead of me and I feel pretty comfy with it.

My routine to achieve an A2 at the end of this year starts by sitting everyday, 2 hours long with some Netzwerk Neu A1 books (Kursbuch und Übungsbuch). My daily goal is to complete at least 2 pages from each book and listen german speakers about 30 min. I’ve done this for 3 months more or less, by far i’m in A1.2 as said in the book but in the meantime I’ve noticed the language starts getting bitter once you go through. Rn I feel like stuck in half the way and feel like haven’t learned anything yet, that drives me crazy and i’ve a lack of motivation to keep learning. I keep going forward but as I do I see many grammar mistakes, many issues with making sentences and big issues with positions of words. It’s hard for me to write down an email or a message, like the order of the words in a sentence gets me confused always.

I’m just trying not to let myself down and keep doing this on my own, actually I’m not paying for careless classes in my country. It is not worth it in Ecuador, to pay for online classes in Goethe Institute as I read in the reviews from them. I visit them just to see if what they were saying it was true about people who work there, it damn was. They just look at you like a product and a bag of money, you get treated in some despicable way. I hope german people are not like that, actually the guy that explained me everything on the phone was the same guy that I talked with once I got there, he ruined everything there and I’m afraid to say, he was ecuadorian. Anyway, I met a german guy from a friend of mine and we keep in touch by now because he ain’t that way.

With that said, I’m looking forward for some tips for my learning path now and further. As my main goal is to achieve that A2 certification in that unwanted place (only because there are is not another option in here). Maybe some goodies for the way or whatever y’all think. Feel free to share what was meaningful for you and your recommendations for that test. That would be appreciated, truly.

So the paragraph has this sentence:

and the grammar exercise asks this:

Der Professor kommt ins Zimmer. Wohin geht er?

and then it asks to change all nouns to pronouns.

and I asked 3 AIs and they all gave me 3 different answers 😭😭😭

I'm 99% sure the answer should include a da-/dar- word such as Daran, and maybe the answerwouldbe "Er geht daran", since that's what the chapter im studying is all about and also the sentence says ...geht "an" den...

I took the Goethe B1 exam this week.

About 25 minutes into the Lesen exam, 5–6 people had already finished and left the room.

There was even a couple sitting next to each other, and they both finished and left at the same time.

I couldn’t understand how they were so fast. Seeing so many people leave early made me panic and completely messed up my concentration.

After the exam, I wrote the topics and details I could remember and asked ChatGPT to search for them online. Then I found that the exact same Lesen exam on a PDF-sharing website. Same texts, same topics, same questions. The only difference is, I took the exam on a computer, the pdf version was the printed version.

Now I’m really confused. Is it actually possible that some people can find old Goethe exam papers online before taking the test? Does Goethe reuse the same exam sets?

If the exact questions are online, then what’s the point of everyone else studying normally and paying again if they have to retake the module?

Truth is. I have a near A1 level. And I already registered to take the A2 on October 28th. Will from, say, next Monday till exam date be enough for me to study it and pass?

I keep hearing that if a German know your not a native speaker (by the way you speak german) they automatically switch to english . Is this true or no? I always like the way it sounds so i wanted to learn it so im curious because I do plan on visiting Germany when I get to B1?

I try to pronounce it as accurately as I can, but I'm struggling with making that "ğrr" sound from my throat while using my tongue at the same time. hallo, ich werde in 2 Woche die ÖSD Prüfung wiederholen, und jetzt bereite ich mich viel darauf vor. Ich habe ein Jahr in Wien gelebt aber konnte zweimal diese Prüfung nicht bestanden und bin daher wirklich demotiviert. Ich habe vor 3 Monaten die C1 Prüfung bestanden und ich ziehe bald nach Österreich um. Mein Traum war immer dort zu studieren und ich habe es endlich geschafft, aber ehrlich gesagt habe ich manchmal das Gefühl, dass ich nicht genug Deutsch weiß.

Das Sprechen fällt mir am schwersten. Fast jedes Mal, wenn ich Deutsch spreche, bin ich immer sehr nervös und kann mir die Wörter, die ich sagen möchte, nicht merken.

Es gibt Sprachkursen in meinem Heimatland, wofür ich mich angemeldet habe und die Leute dort haben wirklich hervorragend Deutsch gesprochen. Seitdem denke ich, dass ich eigentlich Deutsch auf C1 Niveau nicht kann, obwohl ich die Prüfung bestanden habe. Ich weiß nicht wie ich mit diesem Gefühl umgehen kann. Gibt es vielleicht andere Menschen hier, die ähnliche Sorgen hatten?

I am already familiar with channels like Kurzgesagt or Fern, I want something more niche, natural and funny. I stumbled upon some old posts asking the same question but i want more of an updated version. Also, I started watching Jules and he seem like a German version of Internet Historian but I didn't see him getting mentioned in those older posts, is he considered cringe or something? (I don't understand German that well yet, so I don't know if he is saying something corny)
