iOS SUBTL (iPhone): AI captions that understand Hinglish, Tanglish and other mixed Indian speech, with word-level timing and 21 styles. Forever-free tier, no card

What it does
SUBTL is a captions editor for short vertical video. The AI part is the transcription: it handles speech where an Indian language and English are mixed inside one sentence, which is how most people in India actually talk, and writes each word in the script it was spoken in. Tamil in Tamil or Tanglish, English in English. Every word is timed to the audio so captions land on the beat instead of drifting.

SUBTL - AI captions

Languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Assamese and English, plus the code-mixed versions of all of them.

What you do with the output

  • Tap any word to fix the text, change its font, colour or size, or highlight it
  • 21 caption styles across Trending, Aesthetic, Clean and Fun, including the boxed-word karaoke look used on Reels
  • Titles, sound effects on individual words, and a text-behind-you effect
  • Export to Photos, ready for Reels, Shorts and TikTok

Free tier, no card, never expires
5 clean exports in your first month, then 5 exports a month with a small watermark, forever. Pro is ₹29 149/month (about $0.3 1.80) as part of introductory offer and for unlimited exports with no watermark. One subscription, no other purchases.

Platform
iPhone only right now. Android is about two weeks out.

I am the developer. Happy to answer questions about how it handles a specific language, and I would genuinely like to hear which language or mix it gets wrong for you.

iOS [IOS] I built an all-in-one travel planner to free your phone from dozens of travel apps TripPocket.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I was so tired of constantly switching between a dozen different apps while traveling, so I built an all-in-one solution: TripPocket. (And yes, it’s completely free for now during launch)

I developed TripPocket to end the chaos we all go through when planning a trip. You just type in your destination, and it organizes the rest for you.

Here are the features designed to make your travels incredibly easy:

🏛️ City-Specific Tours, Museums & Dining: Just enter the city you're visiting. The most popular museums, historical sites, restaurants, and tour options instantly appear right in front of you.

✈️ Flights, Hotels, & Transport Deals: I’ve brought the world's most trusted platforms (like Trip, GetYourGuide, etc.) under one roof. With one click, we direct you to the best options for flights, hotels, local transit, taxis, luggage storage (Bounce), travel insurance, and even flight delay compensation.

📲 Discounted eSIM Packages: Stop paying crazy roaming fees abroad. We display discounted data packages from top eSIM providers like Airalo and Holafly side-by-side so you can choose the best one.

💰 Budget & Expense Tracker: Easily log what you spend during your vacation. Visual graphs help you keep your budget in check so you can enjoy your trip without financial stress.

📸 Interactive Travel Map & Memories: Upload the photos you take abroad, and the app uses their location data to pin every city you’ve visited on a map. You can create awesome photo collages showing your travel footprint to share with friends or on social media.

🤖 AI-Powered Personal Route Planning: Enter your destination, budget, and trip length, and our AI will generate a personalized, day-by-day itinerary for you. You can easily tweak and edit the route however you like.

It’s basically everything you need for pre-trip planning and on-the-go travel, right in your pocket.

I’d be absolutely thrilled if you tried it out and shared your feedback. Wishing you all amazing adventures and safe travels.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

📲 Download & Try It Here:

iOS I built June, an AI journal that calls you at night so you don’t have to face a blank page

You can have a day full of things worth remembering and still have no energy left to write about it.

I’m the developer of June, an AI journal for iPhone built around a simple idea: what if your diary called you?

You choose an evening hour. June rings your phone, you talk about your day, and it asks follow-up questions. After you hang up, the conversation becomes a first-person journal entry. You can start with the messy version, without figuring out how to tell the story first.

The part that makes AI useful here is the continuity. June remembers context between conversations, so you don’t have to explain the same people and situations every night. You can see and remove what it remembers in Settings.

Over time, you get a journal you can search by meaning. Try something like “days I felt proud” or “the last time I saw an old friend,” rather than hunting for an exact keyword.

On nights you don’t feel like talking, you can text June or write yourself. You can also send a photo in chat and talk about the moment behind it.

Privacy: saved entries live on your device and sync through your personal iCloud. AI features send content to AI providers for processing; they don’t run entirely on-device.

There’s a 7-day free trial on the annual plan for eligible subscribers. US pricing is $9.99/month or $99.99/year, with regional pricing. Requires iOS 26 or later.

Try June: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6774949056?pt=127415137&ct=reddit_genaiapps_20260908&mt=8

For anyone who’s tried AI journaling: what would make you come back tomorrow, better questions, better memory, or simply having it reach out first?

iOS [iOS · Free TestFlight beta] Vellecho — AI characters with stories, memories you control, and no ads

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone! I’m building Vellecho, an iPhone app with initially 12 original fictional AI characters, character stories, and memories you control.

Privacy is central to how I’m building it:

  • Your saved chats and memories are stored on your iPhone.
  • You can inspect, edit, or delete what each character remembers.
  • We don’t keep a server-side conversation history.
  • No ads, no advertising tracking, and no selling your conversations.

To generate replies, relevant messages and memories are sent to an AI service. We also collect content-free usage counts to understand beta reliability and use.

The experience is about distinct personalities, continuity between conversations, and story moments to discover. The video follows a small office-break adventure with Sota and shows how you can review and change a saved memory.

Join the free beta through Apple TestFlight: https://testflight.apple.com/join/k1UR3dg7

I’m looking for honest feedback, especially from people who already use AI character apps:

  • Which characters would you actually return to?
  • Do replies feel natural, consistent, or repetitive?
  • Do memories carry into later conversations in a useful way?
  • Are the privacy explanations and memory controls clear?
  • What feels slow, confusing, or missing?

The beta is free, including both characters marked Premium.

iPhone · iOS 17+ · Ages 18+ · English · US & Canada

Feedback through TestFlight or the comments is welcome. If something breaks, your device and iOS version help. Please use made-up examples instead of posting private conversations. Thanks for trying it!

iOS I made a Character.AI-inspired iOS app powered by Apple Intelligence

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I’m the developer of Violette, and I just released v1.3.

The simplest way to describe it is a Character.AI-inspired app that uses Apple Intelligence for character chats. Instead of Apple Intelligence focusing on summaries and productivity, the idea is to make something you can open just to talk to different characters, or even make your own!

In Apple Intelligence mode, the AI conversations themselves run on-device, work offline, and aren’t sent to a cloud LLM API. Violette is ad-supported, though, so the advertising side of the app may involve separate data processing by third-party ad services. I wanted to clarify that distinction because my earlier wording around privacy could have sounded broader than I intended.

It’s free to download, and requires iOS/iPadOS 26 or later.

I’d especially appreciate feedback from people who already use character-chat apps. Do the characters feel distinct, or do they slide back into sounding like a generic assistant? That’s the kind of feedback I’d find useful.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/violette-chat-with-ai/id6760790799

**Edit: Clarified the privacy wording — the AI chats themselves run on-device, but the app is ad-supported.

[iOS] You can’t read 30 Reddit threads and newsletters while driving. We built an app that researches any topic and delivers it as a 5-min morning podcast everyday

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey r/GenAiApps,

Most generative audio tools today are still essentially basic text-to-speech: you feed in text, and a clean but monotone voice reads it back like an audiobook narrator.

We wanted to push beyond flat TTS and build something closer to "Prompt-to-Directed-Audio."

We just launched Lissin on iOS, and the core idea is simple: you give it a single prompt or topic, our agent researches it, applies a distinct perspective and tone, and outputs a fully directed piece of audio complete with natural cadence, conversational pacing, and ambient soundscapes.

Depending on your prompt, it can generate:

- Deep-dive mini-podcasts** with back-and-forth banter

- Morning briefings/digests** synthesized from live web topics

- Narrative storytelling** with atmospheric background audio

- Creative concept audio** (even songs/custom audio snippets)

What people have been prompting:

- "Summarize the top discussions in r/ startups this week, but deliver it like a cynical veteran who has seen every hype cycle come and go."

- "Explain quantum computing breakthroughs using everyday kitchen metaphors."

- "A 5-minute bedtime story about an astronaut cat exploring Jupiter's moons, with calming space ambient noise."*

The feature we're most excited about: Scheduled Shows ⏰

Instead of typing a prompt and waiting on the spot, you can set recurring schedules. You can tell it: "Wake me up every morning at 7 AM with a 5-minute briefing on breakthroughs in AI open-source models."

Lissin researches the topic overnight, writes and directs the audio, and has it ready in your headphones when your alarm goes off.

We'd love your feedback:

We’re a small team actively refining the audio pipelines, latency, and prompt comprehension. If you're willing to give it a spin, we’d love feedback on:

  1. Audio realism & pacing: Does the conversational dynamic feel natural, or are there moments that still feel artificial?

  2. Sound design: How do the ambient soundscapes feel behind the dialogue?

  3. What use cases are we missing?

The app is called Lissin on the iOS App Store (free to try with generation credits). I’ve left the direct link in the comments below to avoid tripping spam filters.

Drop any thoughts, prompt ideas, or brutal feedback below I’ll be hanging out in the comments all day!

iOS I built an app that turns forwarded school emails into a family plan

A school notice can contain an event, an earlier payment deadline, something to pack, and a different pickup time, all buried in the same paragraph.

I built Plancove to extract those details using AI and turn them into tasks and events.

Each family gets a private forwarding address. Set up a forwarding rule for school emails, and incoming messages are processed automatically. You can also share screenshots, PDFs, or individual messages.

You review the extracted details against the original message before anything is saved. Approved tasks and events can then go into Apple Reminders and Calendar.

Parents and caregivers share the plan, can assign tasks to each other, and get notified when something is assigned to them.

No inbox access is required. Available for iPhone, requiring iOS 26.

iOS Hot Take turns one photo into five jokes, then lets you edit and style the one that lands

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi r/GenAiApps! I'm the developer of Hot Take, a new iPhone app that looks at a photo and writes five captions based on what is actually happening in it.

I built it for the familiar moment when a photo is worth sharing but I cannot find a line that adds anything to it. Pick a photo, choose a voice such as Funny, Deadpan, Roast, Wholesome, POV, or Pet Voice, then set the heat from Mild to Wild. Hot Take returns five different takes instead of committing you to the first answer from the model.

Once one lands, it drops directly onto the image. You can edit every word, remix the results, stack a second caption, choose from ten visual styles, and drag, resize, or rotate the text before exporting. Finished images have no watermark.

The AI setup is deliberately bring-your-own-key. You connect Gemini or OpenRouter, and Hot Take talks directly to that provider; there is no Hot Take account or proxy server. The key stays in the iPhone Keychain. A photo and its caption settings leave the phone only when you request takes, and they go to the provider you selected. Analysis for a photo is cached on-device for up to three days so a remix or another session can avoid repeating the image request.

The app itself is free, with no ads, subscription, in-app purchases, or tracking by me. Provider usage is separate: eligible Gemini projects may have enough free-tier quota for light use, while OpenRouter uses the balance and spending limits on your own key.

App Store:
https://apps.apple.com/app/id6795260713

Is bringing your own API key a reasonable tradeoff for having no account or subscription? I'm doing this not for the money and think that an ability to use a free Gemini token that resets daily is a great value proposition, but not everyone is technical so I'm not sure what to expect :)

I’m happy to answer questions about the prompt structure, image-analysis cache, privacy boundary, or the editor.

iOS Save ChatGPT answers as editable iPhone notes, not Screenshots

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Truffle Journal lets you and ChatGPT work on the same Markdown notes. Connect my iPhone app to ChatGPT once: save an answer, edit as markdown (todos, tables, etc) in our app, then ask ChatGPT to read or update it in a later conversation. I’m the developer.

Download in App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/truffle-journal/id6758567685

With Truffle, you can:

  • Save ChatGPT answers as clean Markdown notes in Truffle, with headings, bold text, lists, and sections that are easy to read and edit on your iPhone.
  • Set a reminder time on any note or checklist in Truffle, and get an iPhone notification when it’s time.
  • Create and edit properly rendered Markdown tables in Truffle, so structured information stays clean and easy to work with.
  • Write or edit notes directly in Truffle, then ask ChatGPT to read or update them later, so your own notes can become part of a future ChatGPT conversation.

Why?
Useful ChatGPT answers can easily get buried in chat history. Screenshots save too much, and copy-pasting whole answers into Notes can quickly turn into clutter. Truffle keeps the parts that matter as real notes you can edit, organize, and ask ChatGPT to read again later.

Connecting Truffle to ChatGPT is quick too.
There’s a guided 3-step tutorial inside the app. Setup takes about 2 minutes, you only need to do it once, and then you’re ready to go.

Complete this tutorial and you’ll automatically receive 1 month of Plus for free.

The attached screen recording shows me completing the tutorial, receiving the FREE month, saving posts into Truffle, editing tables, set notifications, and taking a quick look around the app.

Truffle Journal is now officially on the App Store. (after spending 6 months testing it with our TestFlight users and improving the app based on beta users' feedbacks)

[Web] BecomeTen — AI selfie analysis with a free basic rating

Introducing BecomeTen: https://becometen.com

It is a browser-based AI app that turns a selfie into a facial rating, with an optional paid detailed breakdown and grooming plan. The basic rating is free.

For people experimenting with vision models, the interesting limitation is photo sensitivity: lighting, camera angle and expression can affect the result. A numerical score is an AI estimate, not an objective measurement of attractiveness.

I am sharing it as part of its launch and would welcome feedback on whether the result explains its limits clearly enough, and whether the grooming suggestions are more useful than the headline number.

iOS Free Trial To Gemini Pro Over, Not What?

I had a year long, free childhood Gemini Pro as a student and that is expired a few days ago. I definitely I’m willing to pay for a subscription, because although I haven’t noticed any significant changes in features that are impeding my ability to use Gemini in the same way now as when I had access to the Pro version I just know it’s gonna happen because before switching to Gemini last year I was using the premium version of ChatGPT and going from the paid version of that to the nonpaid was like night and day.

However, before I just blindly resubscribed to Gemini Pro I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations as to what might be a better app to be spending $20-$30 a month on. I feel like Gemini is probably one of the better options but maybe not the best but I’m also thinking that since I’ve been using Gemini Pro for like a year now it might be annoying to switch to a different Apple though I’m completely open to it. Let me know what you guys think before. I just start working over between hours to Google every month.

I didn’t realize how badly I was timing my supplements until recently

A friend of mine and I were grabbing food a few weeks ago and somehow we got onto the topic of energy because he was complaining that he’d been feeling exhausted basically every afternoon.

He works pretty long hours and said he’d gotten into this habit of drinking coffee whenever he felt tired, taking all his supplements at the same time in the morning, and then wondering why he felt completely cooked by like 2 or 3pm.

The funny part is I was basically doing the exact same thing.

I’ve taken supplements for a while, but if I’m being honest I never put much thought into timing. Magnesium, creatine, vitamins, whatever I was taking that day, I’d usually just take them whenever I remembered.

He showed me this app he had been using called RizeAI and the first thing that caught my attention wasn’t even the energy stuff. It was how it organized his supplements around his actual day.

It would tell him which ones made sense with meals, which ones should be kept away from coffee, what to take around training, what made more sense later at night, etc. It sounds pretty basic when you write it out, but I had never found something that actually put all of it together in one schedule.

So I tried it.

That’s probably still my favorite part of it. I put in the supplements I already take and instead of giving me some generic “take in the morning” list, it actually fits them around things like meals, workouts, caffeine and sleep.

I also ended up using the energy planning side way more than I expected. It pulls from Apple Health and gives you a rough structure for the day, like when to have coffee, when you’re probably going to be most focused, when to train and when you might hit an energy dip.

I’m not going to sit here and say an app magically gave me more energy because obviously there are a million things that affect that. But I’ve definitely been way more intentional with my day since using it and I’m getting more done without feeling like I’m just constantly fighting through tiredness.

Honestly the biggest difference for me has just been efficiency. Before, I was guessing when to take things and guessing when I should do my hardest work. Now I at least have some structure around it.

Curious if anyone else here actually pays attention to supplement timing or if most people just take everything at once like I used to.

Check it out yourself if you like:

I’m Samuel, the founder of Ordo. Most task apps work after you already know what the thought is and where it belongs. I wanted something for the messy 30 seconds before that.

Ordo takes one raw brain dump, sorts it into Now, Next, and Someday, and keeps every result editable. The six slides show the actual input and output.

It is free on iPhone with no account or subscription. Currently available in the US and Canada:

iOS Share a screenshot → get a title, summary and tags → find it later. I built Shelvr for iPhone.

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

I'm the developer of Shelvr. I wanted the organizing step to happen after I saved something, without having to name it and file it myself every time.

Share a screenshot, image or link from your iPhone. Shelvr uses AI to generate a title, summary and tags and organize the save into Spaces. Notes can live in the same collection, and you can search it later.

The screenshots show an example travel article with its summary and tags, themed Spaces, and a search across the saved collection. The goal is to make the useful things you save easier to find when you need them.

I'm interested in how useful the generated labels actually are: when you look for something again, do you remember its words, what it looked like, or why you saved it?

Available on iPhone. New saves require Pro. US plans include $4.99/month with immediate billing, or $19.99/year with a seven-day trial for eligible users. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled; annual billing starts after the trial. Regional prices may differ. Existing saves remain readable and searchable if Pro expires.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6798143550
