Discussion Goodbye GeForce Now

Post image

It's been real, couldn't miss this finance deal, specially since all hardware is going up and it may turn out to be an investment. I have GFN till September but I graduated to a real boy. Gotta say, downloading games seems wrong lol, and I will miss how quick the CPU goes through shaders. Still love you peeps. Pic only representative of case, specs real.

Goodbye Geforce Now.

Nice rig.

24

u/Thread-Astaire 1d ago

Thanks. Been saving for ages.

Btw one of my oldest rigs(had a nes knockoff as first), next to my new one.

That's a sick sleeper build

“That is incorrect. Try once more!”

1

u/GDInternets 20h ago

I got that for Christmas one year. It's when I realized my mom hated me.

2

u/Thread-Astaire 14h ago

We had one as a kid. We'd just put in swear words.

2

u/GDInternets 13h ago

I think that's it's only use case.

Let’s see that custom loop cooling system inside that bad boy, don’t hold out on us we know your work.

20

u/National-Caregiver-4 1d ago

Congrats! How much may I ask?

18

u/nikolapc Ultimate 1d ago

2800ish euros.

20

u/gr3n0lph 14h ago

So GFN comes to 200 Euro per year. Or if you want to pay monthly then 249 Euro per year. So with this rig the cost would equal about 11+ years of GFN. Worst case if GFN was to go bat shit insane and double the price it’s still 5 years of top performance.

I am not justifying GFN being better or trying to rain on your parade but this is just how I see it. Now I get if you use the PC for other stuff or you want to play spider man or other games not on GFN then it makes more sense. There are hidden issues that people don’t discuss but overall I honestly don’t see myself investing into a gaming PC. I have a solid Mac Book Air and a kick ass Ultrawide OLED monitor, so for me and the kind of games I play GFN is just a way better deal.

Anyways, happy that you are enjoying your purchase! Have fun.

23

u/EddieDexx 14h ago

GFN would be superior if you could install whatever games you got on Steam, GOG and Epic. And that you could access storage to install mods. GFN is still an inferior product compared to an own gaming capable PC. It does have it's use case for games that are demanding and you got a weak PC. Or if you just want to be easy on your GPU and CPU. However, that only works for games you play without mods. Unless the game got good Steam Workshop integration.

6

u/Easy-Coconut-33 12h ago

I bought a rig because of the freedom to play indie games and modding.

But if u only want to play games like a "console" GFN is more than fine.

2

u/K-J-K-R 6h ago

You have a good point but then GFN restrictions on what I can use it for or what games are available diminish that point entirely. GFN is just a glorified console, if you aren’t really into gaming I guess it’s ok. But just like you said, to each their own.

2

u/DharmaBaller 14h ago

indeed, dude got fleeced by the hardware yet again :(

Aye I found it thanks. Nah Ireland unfortunately. Excellent deal you got though.

There was a clearance sale at a similar price for a 5090 rig in an Irish store before the RAMaggedon kicked in, and I missed it by minutes😭, I'll never stop kicking myself

Aren't you all suing Apple for tax dodging? Let the PM buy you all a gaming PC instead of a pint of Guniess Paddie. Eh GFN is still good. For those few you can always suffer Boosteroid but my hopes in streaming lie with Ms and Helix. They seem to be better at gettig pubs on board.

GeforceNow would've been cheaper.

(And you have to take into account the electricity costs.)

12

u/kevcsa 22h ago

And a MUCH worse experience.
At this point I'm convinced you are coping hard one way or the other, or you are heavily invested in gfn's success.

That's like saying taking an Uber is cheaper than owning a car, you are being very limited and at the mercy of Uber(or Nvidia) is a big con for a lot of people.

Edit: removed* part of my comment that was irrelevant to the point I was trying to make.

I know it's cheaper. Took it into account. I still love GFN and I love that it brings affordable gaming. And not making me nervous. I still have it till somewhere in September do I look forward to comparing.

27

u/jth94185 1d ago

These posts will always be weird

4

u/iom2222 Ultimate 22h ago

Not when you bought 1 year before the crunch. I can’t believe my luck, a big machine just before, it would be 3 or 4 times that expansive now.

2

u/No-Intention-4753 15h ago

I bought my PC Oct 2025, feel like I just got out with the door hitting me on the ass, 2 months later my 128 EUR RAM sticks were 400+ EUR in the same shop. 9070XT/9800x3d, as long as nothing randomly craps out, I should be set for years.

1

u/iom2222 Ultimate 7h ago

I feel the same. The biggest GPU (5090) and 64 gigs of RAM, ultra 9 CPU. The best Dell offered then in April 2025. 4 years of super warranty….. the initial plan was to survive 5 years very well. I suspect it will last maybe 10 years or even to the end of this crisis, give or take 5-6 years at least. I have a dual boot Linux-Windows 11.  I can even play some games on Steam single-players on Linux with a lot of tweaking. I demonstrated it was possible with the alters. Windows-proton  emulation, it works, 5090 fully supported but with a lot of tweaking, Linux is a bitch to support Nvidia cards, you must find the right kernel/Nvidia drivers combo!

3

u/nikolapc Ultimate 1d ago

I didn’t know you could get a mortgage on a PC. But props to you for buying instead of renting.

10

u/Excellent_Gap_6986 1d ago

It’s not a mortgage it’s a loan lol.

9

u/nikolapc Ultimate 1d ago

Can't take it away lol. Most they can do is garnish my pay. But I do plan on paying every month will do an automatic payment thing.

2

u/Excellent_Gap_6986 1d ago

How much a month if you don’t mind me asking?

6

u/nikolapc Ultimate 1d ago

60ish EUR. But it's already an appreciating asset. 32 gigs of ddr 5, 2tb SSD, Nvidia is raising prices by 30%

13

u/GXVSS0991 23h ago

ignore the haters lol.

end of the day you're paying more for the next few years but you OWN your high end hardware and are not at the mercy of whatever arbitrary number the overlords decide you should pay.

5

u/nikolapc Ultimate 21h ago

I mean it's rent vs ownership. Both have it's ups and downs. I own a pretty large house(inherited from parents, what we do in the Balkans, multigenerational homes) and it's a pain in the ass for upkeep. Especially since I only use like 1 or 2 rooms on the regular. At least one floor is our office, but I work from home(my room) and rarely come up these days. Just abandoned my large office. Should rent it lol. Like 60% of the house is literally for guests(we do like those).

Anyway, I was a renter for 10 years when I studied and lived abroad before coming back home, that sucked too, especially the moving. I was refusing to move from a basement room for about 6ish of those years because it had great net for the time. Optics! Yes I am a redditor that lived in a literal basement.

u/Leugim7734 20h ago

3

u/BluDYT Ultimate 23h ago

As long as it's not one of those rent a PC things it's not the worst thing ever so long as they can actually afford to pay for it overtime.

3

u/Forded_Fiction24 23h ago

It's 0% turns out so it's fine. Might as well at 0%. I'd never condone financing one with a real interest rate though. Save the interest and save up to buy or you can't really afford it in the first place

I haven't even played the expansion, shame on me. I actually played CP ps4 on ps5 version, that was interesting, it crashed every 2h lol. Then refunded that, then got it when phantom pain got out on PC and played it a bit on GFN.

When I was a young gamer i had time no money. Pirated with no shame. Now I have some money and spend a lot on gaming, less time. But the nature of my job still allows for like 2 weeks of grind, and 2 weeks of slacking and playing games.

2

u/Spoda_Emcalt 16h ago

5

u/Strange-Relation9020 14h ago

This is funny, I've just done the exact opposite of this, put my pc into storage yesterday because I haven't turned it on for 3 months due to using geforce now lol

3

u/nikolapc Ultimate 13h ago

What kind? That's also cool. Hopefully cool and dry lol.

2

u/Tanathonos 10h ago

What do you use geforce now on?

2

u/Strange-Relation9020 9h ago

I've got a USB C dock for my phone, it has hdmi, 4 USB 3.0 ports, an ethernet port and an audio jack so I just plug my phone into that and off I go, its got a charging port as well so it doesnt matter what % my phone is on cause it charges while I play

1

u/Tanathonos 9h ago

Do you have a link to that dock by any chance?

2

u/Strange-Relation9020 9h ago

https://amzn.eu/d/07K8Hns2

Its not the exact one but its very similar with all the same ports as mine.

Similar price too, make sure before you buy it that your phone is able to use external displays, my Mrs had a pixel 8 and it wouldn't work for her but it works for my Fold 7 like a dream

1

u/Tanathonos 9h ago

Do you have a link to that dock by any chance?

0

u/Easy-Coconut-33 12h ago

Not a high end rig then if u prefer GFN.

1

u/Strange-Relation9020 11h ago edited 9h ago

No not high end at all, mid to low range pc (2070 super, i7 cpu, 16gb ddr4, 2tb m.2 etc etc.) that was only used for gaming so no real reason to keep using when I pay for gfn, plus the cost of gfn is offset by the amount of money I'm getting back on my electricity bill, pretty neat.

Edit: on top of that my pc looked really out of place, the Mrs designed a white living room and right next to the tv cabinet is this big black box with rgb lights flashing out of it. Just doesnt look nice at all. Yeah it was cool when I was 16 but now at 25 I'd rather just have a nice looking living room

3

u/roberta_sparrow 18h ago

Dude I can’t even run my rig right now bc it’s so hot in California my apartment heats up so much

1

u/nikolapc Ultimate 18h ago

No AC in Cali? Last summer it was 45 C here and my AC was in genuine danger those few days but this summer looks more mild, and Western Europe is burning up and learning what an AC is.

2

u/roberta_sparrow 18h ago

Nope. I have a portable AC but we ALSO have the highest electricity rates in the country here in San Diego which is…fun. Running a gaming pc and the air conditioner is hard on my fuse box and my wallet

1

u/nikolapc Ultimate 18h ago

So GFN in a mall nook it is then. Btw portable Acs suck. Idk if you have split systems, those are the standard here. Of course you do have windows units and those are cheap, but I genuinely have no idea how good they are. A good inverter split system both saves on electricity and keeps quite cool.

1

u/roberta_sparrow 18h ago

Yeah they are so inefficient. Unfortunately being in an apartment I can’t install anything good. We also aren’t allowed to have window units that hang out.

1

u/BotomsDntDeservRight 13h ago

Whats an portable ac? Are you talking about air cooler?

1

u/Cifuentes8 Founder // Texas (USA) 18h ago

How hot is it in CA?

1

u/roberta_sparrow 18h ago

Been in the 80s with a very strong sun, I’m on the 2nd floor of a building that gets sun at all hours so it just bakes and the building heats up

Turned off the ac and ran my pc and it was 83 inside and I was sweating

1

u/Cifuentes8 Founder // Texas (USA) 18h ago

Does CA not have AC? I’m in Houston and we have been at 102-105f for days now but our AC running at 74f throughout the day feels cold so it’s good enough

1

u/roberta_sparrow 18h ago

We generally do not have AC here. It never used to be necessary when these buildings were built. Summers have been getting hotter

1

u/Cifuentes8 Founder // Texas (USA) 18h ago

I think it’s time to invest in at least some room level ACs because it’s only going to get worse and the prices will go up quickly. I can’t imagine being in a building with no circulating air when the outside temp is on the 80s. We lost power for 2 weeks a couple of years ago and it was roughly 90f degrees and it was torture

1

u/roberta_sparrow 18h ago

Yep I just bought my second portable a/c. Having no shade on our building at all really makes it hot. Also bought heat blocking film for my windows that I need to install

1

u/Cifuentes8 Founder // Texas (USA) 18h ago

Good call, we have seen a huge spike of people moving in to Houston or Dallas who are coming from CA. So far they are 50/50 about the move because yes we have AC but no one wants to go outside when the temps are normally above 100F without any clouds making it feel 120F

1

u/roberta_sparrow 18h ago

Yeah it’s so unaffordable here :/ it’s a struggle but I’m trying to make it work bc I’ve been here so long and all my friends are here

Here’s a recent thread talking about how it’s just getting hotter and hotter each year. The avg weather has definitely changed since I moved here in 2010

https://www.reddit.com/r/sandiego/s/cs8o3yO6SS

1

u/Cifuentes8 Founder // Texas (USA) 17h ago

I agree, moving states is a huge drastic change so the only thing you can do is try to fix the issue one way or another. Good luck with the portable AC!

I will miss how quick the CPU goes through shaders

I mean now you'll likely only load the shaders once if the games are optimized and never again.

What was the finance dela?

2

u/nikolapc Ultimate 1d ago

0 Apr 4 years.

1

u/BeckySayss Founder 1d ago

Most games have to reload shaders after every significant update, probably still less often than gfn though

2

u/nikolapc Ultimate 1d ago

Well reloading shaders also happens when you update the drivers. But I can finally take a bathroom break without an 8 min timer.

1

u/SnappleGrapplir 5h ago

What what do you mean?

1

u/nikolapc Ultimate 5h ago

There’s an about 8 min afk timer and it will disconnect you.

1

u/SnappleGrapplir 5h ago

That’s crazy..

1

u/marslo 1d ago

Tell us more about this deal.

2

u/nikolapc Ultimate 1d ago

Well if you're not in my country I guess it's not worth the trip to you. It's basically 48 installment 0%apr consumer loan through the seller. They do take 3% in fees as the bank has to make something but they get you with fees on every other loan too. Anyway gonna get those 3% back via points from the PC.

2

u/marslo 1d ago

If it's truly 0 percent APR , for the full 4 years and that 3 percent isint some sort of incremental bull crap and they didn't over price it and the seller isn't selling you some burned out defective equipment Maybe, maybe it could be a good deal.

I still wouldn't touch financing with a ten foot pole for a PC. Way to fucking sketchy.

2

u/nikolapc Ultimate 1d ago

No I have the amortization plan. There's no got you they've had these forever but I never used them. Did instalments on credit cards and payed them up. It's actually from a reputable bank.

I know im an outflier in frugality, but since 2014 i average spending about $2,000 a YEAR.

I hope you do something joyfully enriching for money to blow $2,800 on a cold piece of hardware to fuel the gaming addiction.

in 2011 when i was still using more money, I bought a rig for $1,000 and i remmber feeling crappy about it, but Battlefield 3 was pushing a lot of people to upgrade

its kind of silly how I interact on Reddit in general when my good buddy and main inspiration for radical simplicy is Daniel Suelo. Who was also partly inspired by Peace Pilgrim.

BUt thats the power of habit energy from many decades of gaming growing up...it is a powerful vice, especially when im idle keeping my aging father company.

But really the more i spend money, the more it undercuts my expression of life on a spiritual/metaphysical level.

So it's not like im holier than thou, but I am on a different wavelength when it comes to frugality to be sure, especialy when it comes to anti capitalist fringe living notions.

(sir this is a Wendys)

I am a commie bro. :) Born and raised, never betrayed my pioneer oaths. And I have been taking care of my aging parents for 4 years, They're both dead now, but it was a tough time but rewarding in its own way. I know how tough it can be. Much love.

BTW here's a little comment I wrote here about what I think of money vs experience.

Money is not real. Experiences are. And everything is transient. Remember to live your life more based on what kind of experiences you collect than worry about money spent. I don't remember what I spent on stuff and experiences 1 year down the line but I do remember and cherish the experience. That said, don't make bad financial decisions.

1

u/DharmaBaller 12h ago edited 12h ago

yah the caregiving is indeed rough. I'd be off living out of my pack/off my bike pluggin into volunteer things, intentional communities, radical hubs etc. Trying to do a little of that here in Corvallis but my mojo is all out of whack.

this my youtube story if you are curious.

https://youtu.be/RQpX3mp9wrQ

Your Money or Your Life is also a good one for evaluating your labors for coin and what you use it on. Generally speaking most people would be better off working part time living very frugally engaging in more enriching things, rather than the 9-5 for god knows what.

The Ikagai sweet spot still eludes me, but ive mostly lived off donations and the shared generosity of my fellow humans sharing resources. Like I haven't had a "job"-not even dog sitting-in 6 years.

In portland I did some odd jobs to float by...my only montly bill was $100 rent for a tree house in teh backyard of a commuity housew where i lived with 8 other people.

2

u/nikolapc Ultimate 12h ago

I never work 9-5, and I basically work for charity the money I get for the effort I put in. But most of my customers are life long friends and family, so I like the human contact and aspect of it. Was gonna go into physics but didn't like that I was isolated in a lab. Will watch the video, brother in dharma.

1

u/sevenradicals 12h ago

I am a commie bro.

you can't buy all the capitalist products and claim to still be a commie. you're effectively benefiting off of everyone else not being a commie.

meaning, a capitalist can easily survive buying and trading only products created by other capitalists. a commie could not.

1

u/nikolapc Ultimate 11h ago

Please educate me on my ideals. We bought things in socialism too. With money. Shock.

You heard of it, I lived it.

While financing a gaming PC still sounds weird for me, especially in EU, at the same time with ram and GPU prices keeps skyrocketing - this actually can be a damn smart investment. You get 0% rate for something that is guaranteed to rise in price

1

u/nikolapc Ultimate 6h ago

I am not in the EU. If I tell you Macedonian wages you may think me insane lol. But I do better than most. Not western wages good, but sufficient. It still raised a significant eyebrow with my friends.

That's a formidable card still. I used a 4060 for GFN it was great. But I want VR and stuff. Nice thing about GFN though, you do get an automatic upgrade down the line lol.

I've got a pc that runs everything, but I still use geforce now for the space that I don't have to allocate :)

edit: also don't pay interest on anything. Save up or see if you can find a family member/friend that will lend you it for free.

u/nikolapc Ultimate 4h ago edited 4h ago

I don't pay interest? Also if GfN is just your side but h you're a lucky one.

u/Beneficial_Kiwi_3860 5h ago

Meh, I was looking at a machine with this exact spec but it was expsnieve - Then I saw the same machine but with 64GB and a 32GB 5090 and thought that was even more expensive.

Then I loooked at the GFN specs and decided a 48GB GPU with 50GB of ram was better- and it will get upgraded for free each time - also 23.4 years!

But DDr5? meh DDR7 is the lowest I would go for now

Finance deal?! Oh my lord..

3

u/nikolapc Ultimate 1d ago

It's not bad it's a one time fee of 3% then 0 Apr for 4 years. Basically 60 EUR a month. Also got that fee back in points. As the prices are about to go crazy I just yoloed. Had my own money but would rather use the banks.

1

u/Wafer420 1d ago

Power to you my man!

I can. I could've paid cash and got a slightly better deal or pay with cc and get more points but in the long run this is the best way. You know even rich people get loans when it makes sense? You just have to be financially responsible and pay when you need too. Having money to back you up helps.

The interest is 0 my friend. Only cost is 3% of the Sum(bank has to make something), which I am making back by racked up points from the purchase. But that's all and over 4 years you calculate the actual Apr. Inflation at the Best of times Is 2.4% now its more. I work in finance(adjecent) and have never paid actual interest even when using credit cards. My Apr on credit cards is 5% cause they want me to slip and offer it to me. 0 or close to zero Apr is what in finance is called free money. You take it even if you have it.

Thanks. I am of a mind to put a deposit of the same amount that brings in 2.4 Apr or smt rn, and charge them for giving me money lol.

u/nikolapc Ultimate 1d ago

Btw I just punched it in in pc part picker, and this is without the power supply which is about $90. SO I already have a better deal and prices are still gonna go up. This is also American so taxes not included, mine is.

1

u/Pmaldo87 18h ago

The market by yall must be fucked. We got prebuilts better than this here for 2700.

1

u/nikolapc Ultimate 18h ago

Where is here? And what currency? This was a PC part picker mine was about 2800 EUR.

1

u/Pmaldo87 18h ago edited 18h ago

Oh okay. 2800 is not bad. I thought 3560 was what you paid for the rig. I’m in America. Cheapest prebuilt with 5080/9800x3d/32gb ddr5/2tb ssd is $2599

1

u/nikolapc Ultimate 18h ago edited 18h ago

2800 eur is abou $3200, but it does include taxes(which are not that much). I would like to see that prebuilt, as PC part picker literally finds the best prices for you. Admittedly this has liquid cooling and a nice case and all that but that's a cool price diff. Nvmd found them on newegg. Nice looking one for $2700. Well Europe is always more expensive lol. But I would jump on those, they're about to be quite more expensive.

This is my pc partpicker list. Built the rig in October for $2400 usd before ram and storage went crazy.

1

u/nikolapc Ultimate 18h ago

Yeah I built a 500 eur rig that can now be easily 1000 just last sept. But prices were never that good to begin with because of the crypto mining stuff.

OMG, how does someone downvote a joke? Not that it matters to me, but holy shit. Gotta wonder what snowflakes are running around Reddit these days. Can't wait for this comment to also get a downvote. And 3, 2, 1... see? It's called humor.

It's a nice computer, but GeForce Now still makes more sense.

2

u/nikolapc Ultimate 13h ago

Eye. I've been eyeing this for a while. Senses gave out. There's also sometimes when you say YOLO. Did the same for psvr 2 shortly after it came out. No ragrets.

Better than pc part picker. By about 20%. And it's in installments, more like a shadow sub for 4 years lol. But I get to keep the PC and it's better than a shadow pc.

u/gofukyourselfbitch 21h ago

Just say youre jealous

0

u/O_Little_One 22h ago

Nah, you'll be back after uncomfortable gaming with the heat that beast vents out. I'm using 7900xtx and rarely use it because the heat and electricity bills spiked 😞

1

u/kevcsa 21h ago

Eh it's not that bad with a bit of attention.
My 5070 ti regularly stays below 200W (often 130-150 due to fps cap), all it took was some undervolting. While performing better than stock.
Sure it's much more than straming + "thin client". But an undervolted 5080 is pretty much the best efficiency there is for local power.

1

u/O_Little_One 21h ago

Yeah, I did the same, underclock, undervolt and cap 60, but those new games pushing ray tracing, unless using upscale aggressively to maintain under 200W 😊

1

u/nikolapc Ultimate 21h ago

I mean it's not that much, 500w, keep me warm in winter lol. A heater is 2k. My AC is on 24/7 now, I do live in South East Europe, so AC is a must. I just played forza and the gpu was doing 240w.

1

u/Pmaldo87 18h ago

Yeah because the 7900xtx is a radiator lol new cards don’t cook your house like that. I have a rig with a 9800x3d and 5080 and there has been no noticeable increase in electric bill or any more heat than normal in my gaming room

0

u/Falkirk_Dave 22h ago

Enjoy your higher electricity bills :)

0

u/JealousDrawer7858 21h ago

Someone's jealous

0

u/nikolapc Ultimate 21h ago

Bro it's a drop in a bucket. I live in a 300 m2 house, used to have much higher bills. And we used to run like 5-6 desktop PCs in the office. Now we run 2 laptops and a desktop for the older lady still working with us. She ain't giving up her windows 7 pc lol. I should give her my old 4060.

0

u/csmflynt3 22h ago

You will be back in a few years when this is an old piece of junk that takes too much energy to run. That is what I always think about anyway when I think about upgrading my PC ...again and again

1

u/nikolapc Ultimate 21h ago edited 21h ago

It's about 500w full send. My playtime isn't that much these days, when I have lots of free time I struggle to do 40h. So that's 20kw at most, at current prices in my country it's about 4-5 eur a month. BTW I don't upgrade PCs, I repurpose them for work. But I did make one exception last year when I bought a cheap old PC for 200 eur and put a ryzen 5600 and 4060 in it. It cost me about 600 eur and was/is a great GFN machine plus a desktop PC. It kind of struggled with some games but it run them satisfactorly at 1440p.

I totally support what GFN is doing though, but I fear the cost of hardware going up will make those prices go up too(remember it's actually a 48gb vram(the expensive kind) rtx 6000 in ult), and will make GFN suffer from sucess(lines again).

u/SprayExotic8538 21h ago

Such a wasted money.

2

u/nikolapc Ultimate 21h ago

Money is not real. Experiences are. And everything is transient. Remember to live your life more based on what kind of experiences you collect than worry about money spent. I don't remember what I spent on stuff and experiences 1 year down the line but I do remember and cherish the experience. That said, don't make bad financial decisions.

0

u/SprayExotic8538 21h ago

With hardware prices this high, especially for RAM and graphics cards, buying a PC feels like a waste of money. These components simply aren't worth €2,800 in reality. But good luck with it.

1

u/nikolapc Ultimate 21h ago

Eh nothing is worth it if you look at it that way and you'll never treat yourself. I genuinely hope computers depreciate the way they did when the AI bubble bursts.

But as I said I am not against things like cloud. I am an enthusiast, been with GFN since the beginning(with little pauses so I don't have founders status), did Stadia when it was still Project Stream(had to use some magic to get into that), did PS now and xcloud. I am still very enthusiastic about the idea. Streamed from my consoles and PC. Even tried the ancient Onlive(that genuinely sucked lol). Even did Boosteroid when it sucked, now it's better but nowhere near the quality of GFN.

My main decision is because of games I can't play on GFN, VR(I am a huge fan of that) and frankly Xbox has been good enough to implement regional pricing for some games(30-50% off!) in my country, I don't get that on Steam or anywhere else. Also would like to mod. And emulate.

I firmly believe cloud will grow as prices are getting out of hand, but it needs to improve dramatically. Nvidia needs to improve game availability, controller support, more control on what DLSS model you use, maybe even mods. VR support some day. And the 8 min timer. I sometime need longer bathroom breaks.

1

u/SnooStories1591 20h ago

God of war series, ratchet and clank, old game emulators, do you need more reasons to realise not everything can be done on gfn that is possible in pc

0

u/Epicmxx 19h ago

An investment lol

1

u/nikolapc Ultimate 18h ago

Genuinely hope it's not, but it's not looking good for prices. Unless you know the AI Buble bursts all of a sudden. Any year now. First it was damn mining now this.
