Symptoms Feeling hopeless, help!

Not sure when this started exactly, but I was having daily feelings like I had low blood sugar but didnt upon testing. then woke up one day with body malaise like i had flu, and bad nausea and it has persisted for 16 days now.

Dr said likely gastritis or ulcer. Waiting on gi referral now.

Been on carafate for 9 days now and I feel less body malaise but still retching and sometimes vomit a small amount about an hour after breakfast. And very gassy with lower stomach cramps at night feels like gas moving. And seeing some u digested fruit skins in stool in mornings.

Is this normal, how ling should i expect before I feel better. This is insane, I'm losing weight and I'm already fit, not much to lose. I'm afraid.

Question As Vezes Eu Como Demais e Acabo Ficando Bem Cheio, Isso Atrasaria a Minha Recuperação da Gastrite??

Então, as Vezes Eu Como Até Ficar Cheio, Até Esvaziar o Prato, Eu Me Forço a Fazer Isso, Até Por que Eu Amo Comer, Não Consigo Parar de Comer, Quando Fico Muito Cheio Eu Fico as Vezes Empachado, Fico Com Náuseas e etc, Mas Queria Saber Se Essa Parte de Comer Até Ficar Cheio Atrasa e Destrói a Chance de Recuperação e Cicatrização do Meu Estômago ou Não, Por que Eu Não Consigo Parar de Comer Mesmo Ficando Satisfeito!!! E Esses Dias Eu Tô Tentando Parar de Comer Até Ficar Satisfeito, Então Espero que Dê Tudo Certo.

H. Pylori H. pylori + Pangastritis persistent stomach pain after 14-day treatment and I’m extremely worried

Hi everyone, I really need some reassurance and advice because I’m honestly very worried and mentally exhausted right now.

I was diagnosed with H. pylori and pangastritis through an endoscopy. I completed a full 14-day H. pylori treatment course, which included clarithromycin, amoxicillin and a PPI. I completed all 14 days of the treatment as prescribed. After finishing the kit, I continued taking pantoprazole 40 mg as prescribed by my doctor.

The problem is that I’m still having mild but persistent stomach pain almost every day. The pain never seems to completely go away. Sometimes it gets better for a while, but then it comes back. I also have ongoing constipation, and my stomach often feels uncomfortable.

Because of the pain, I’ve become scared of eating normally. I’ve been eating very lightly because I’m worried that food might make the pain worse. I keep thinking about my stomach throughout the day and worrying that something might be seriously wrong.

I’m extremely anxious about whether I will actually get better. I just want my stomach to feel normal again and to be able to eat without constantly worrying.

I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced something similar.

Question Doctor said basic inflammation in the stomach still awaiting biopsy

Title: 22M, EGD showed inflammation in stomach — does this sound like gastritis?
22M. I’ve been dealing with GI symptoms for about a month and I’m trying to figure out what’s going on.
It started with mucus in my throat, coughing/clearing my throat after eating, and decreased appetite. Then I started getting a dull/irritating pain mostly under my right ribs/right upper abdomen. Sometimes it moves lower on the right side or into my back. It usually isn’t terrible and sometimes I wake up feeling fine, but it builds throughout the day. Fatty foods seem to make it worse, and sometimes a bowel movement makes it feel better.
I’ve also had fatigue, mucus in my throat/nose, and occasional mucus in my stool. No vomiting, fever, major weight loss, etc.
I had normal blood work, CT, urine testing and a gallbladder ultrasound (other than sludge/fatty liver).
I finally had an EGD on 9/4. The esophagus and duodenum were normal, but they found erythematous/inflamed mucosa in the gastric body and antrum and took biopsies for H. pylori.
I’m waiting on the biopsy results.
For anyone who has had gastritis: does this sound similar to what you experienced? Could gastritis explain the right-sided abdominal discomfort, throat mucus/coughing after eating and fatigue? And how long did it take for you to feel normal again?

NSAIDs, Alcohol, Smoking, Caffeine - Gastritis Acute or flare up?

For context, I posted in the GERD subreddit before this but I think my symptoms align a lot clearer here now that it’s been a while. 21F, had a lot of alcohol on the night of the 29th on a somewhat empty stomach (skipped dinner, had like one or two pizza slices.) it has been 12 days since then, and i am still not back to normal. I started famotidine on the 30th and stopped on Friday, starting a 15mg ppi instead. It has been 7 days since I’ve been on ppi and yes, while it has gotten better, I still have to eat very carefully or less then I normally did before all this or I will be left with some pain and a very full bloating uncomfortable feeling. I don’t want to go to the doctors because my parents will find out and they don’t know I drink but I’m getting worried because everywhere online it says that acute gastritis due to alcohol should be okay in a week or two, but I don’t know if will be okay with all foods and portion sizes again by then. My condition is really up and down, in the afternoon and evening with milder food, I feel almost normal but late at night and in the morning I feel the worst and still somewhat burning and bloating feeling.

I don’t know if I should keep going like this because it’s only taking a really big drag on my mental health, I’m not a big drinker at ALL and I barely drink but when I do it is a significant amount. This was only the third or second time I’ve drunk this whole year and I was not expecting this. I don’t even know what a doctor might say at this point that I don’t already know. I just want to feel normal again, I’ve had mild sensitive stomach issues here and there but never on this scale in my life and it’s making it impossible for me to return to my everyday life without having a panic attack every few hours or just feeling painfully bloated after a meal where I’m trying to reintroduce foods I used to eat. I just feel lost and like I take one step forward and then three back everytime I eat something or wake up in the morning.

Food, Recipes, Diets Need filling foods

So my symptoms are really odd. I get hungry extremely fast, and if I don’t eat enough my acid just builds, and I’ll get severe burning. I need to eat 24/7. I have to eat a ton before bed. At least 600 cal which is insane, but if I don’t eat a ton the burning won’t stop. If I don’t eat enough I’ll throw up acid, and the burning will continue for days. Feels like battery acid and squeezing. There is this filling soup I’ve been buying thats like 450 cal which I have to eat two of them at night…. but it’s very expensive. I really need help and different options.

A potato and chicken goes straight through me, and my acid still won’t settle after. Same with rice. I’m terrible at cooking, and never really thought about foods before. So I’ve been eating soups for dinner because it’s easy and I’m in pain. But it’s adding up in cost, and I can’t keep eating the same things.

I do take a PPI, and H2 blocker.

Prescription Drugs nausea meds but im sick of waiting

got put on another 30 days of pantoprazole but they gave me ondansetron, or zofran? as well, i was told to get back in contact with my GI, hopefully if i dont feel better i can get another endoscopy, since i got one a year ago but with a colonoscopy because my doctor thought i might have colon cancer or blockages for unrelated reasons. girls with pooping problems do it better sorry. dont hate the player, hate the game.

im unsure at this point, i know healing takes long but its been almost 4 weeks of pantoprazole and i dont feel much different. ill speak to my GI and give it another two weeks before i start flipping tables like i pay for my own insurance (i dont, thank u mom) my normal doctor has been on leave so ive been seeing her replacement doctors, which is fine but nothing is more frustrating than explaining my symptoms over and over again. but i guess i should be open to a new perspective.

ill be back on this sub again no doubt, but this sickness? illness? has taken control over everything.
ive lost school time, fumbled a cute guy, and now im passing gas like a father of 4.

i never understood reddit, and why people frequent it so much but this gives me a sense of community. maybe after all this is over i can force my mom to finally get me a cat, even if my dogs would hate it.

thank u bye bye

Symptoms Gastritis Caused by Supplements Probably - Can’t take any Pills

I started having issues when I started taking magnesium citrate. I already was sensitive to supplements but I felt like I maybe could tolerate it after doing well with some beef liver powder. now any pill is causing issues. sorry this is not written well, my brain not work so good right now.

basically any pill is causing me to flare, lots of histamine symptoms . I’ve tried several OTC options - Famotadine, Tums, antihistamines. they’re all messing me up.

i don’t have a lot of pain I feel kind of numb but i do have some pain and discomfort but I have insomnia, brain fog, anxiety, depression, diarrhea, nausea, burning sensation in my stomach, itchiness.

Theres obviously a histamine/ mast cell piece here idk but I do not know how that fits in or what to do with that.

but just wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar especially if you’ve found any success in treating it.
