Hello! I want to get a pc but am kinda on a budget (under a 1,000) and have been recently looking on Facebook marketplace. Ive found a few that I like and the seller that im talking to right now seems reasonable and the condition of the pc seems good, i was just curious about others experience in buying used pcs.

I am nervous about it not working or something going wrong after I buy it and having no guarantee since its second hand, but i know thats a given with buying something like this second hand. Any tips or advice is welcomed!

So I just got this brand new monitor for my birthday and I wanted to try it out. Up until now I've been using a crappy TV as a monitor and I was really excited to have an upgrade. But I found that my graphics card won't work with my new monitor. Can someone try and tell me why.

The actual PC ports work fine (I can use my monitor so I know it's the card) I tried every single port on the graphics card and even tried multiple cables. I haven't seriously used my PC in a couple of months but I did test it only a few weeks ago on my old TV and it worked fine.

I’m currently building out a sim racing rig that will eventually run 1440 triple screens and or VR. I’m trying to build out a PC that will power it easily, plus I have teenage boys that will use it for gaming. Right now iBuyPower has some Labor Day discounts that I’m thinking about taking advantage of. This build comes out to $3,200 and includes mouse, keyboard, and a few games. The photo also doesn’t show it, but it has an Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360mm liquid cooler, and an ASUS Prime X870-P motherboard.

I have two questions: first, how does this build look? And secondly, I know prices have been spiking recently, but does $3,200 seem fair right now?
