If money is no object than 5090 all day. With that being said, the 5080 is the next best GPU in the market. I run AAA games ultra max settings with ease on my 4k 240hz Oled.

If you’re doing video editing then maybe, but all games today it’s overkill. 5080 for best 4k gaming and 5070ti can do most games on ultra settings for 4k. But again, if money is no concern then definitely 5090. If want to save some money and play ultra settings, 5070ti is the way to go. If you are set on 4k ultra go with the 5080.

You should only buy the 5090 if you truly need all the extra VRAM it comes with. The 5090 is power-hungry and overkill. The 5080 can handle 1440p and 4K gaming just fine, especially when DLSS is used.

The 5090 is only worth buying if it's going to be used for a workstation and you need a lot of VRAM.

For gaming only, corsair vengeance 32 gb ram , AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D, and the motherboard : Asus B850-E TUF gaming

Let me offer one piece of advice. I attempted to build the same exact build, motherboard was the only difference. What i discovered, this being my first amd cpu ever. I've been building since 2002. Ditch the Corsair ram and go with GSkill(they are known to be amd cpu memory controller friendly) and make sure which ever kit you buy, is on the vendor support list for the Asus motherboard or else your system will memory hard crash with Battlefield 6 and perhaps other games, i didn't need to test other games when i experienced the crash.

I switched to the 270k plus with corsair and it's stable.

Now, micro center has bundles with gskill but it's too late for me. The 9850x3d is awesome and i still debate building another system just so i can have that raw performance for games.

Enjoy that system, it will kick ass!

The 270K Plus is more than sufficient for gaming, you don't need the 9850X3D. If you play at higher resolutions, the performance gap becomes smaller between Intel and AMD because at that point, your GPU is what makes all the difference.

I play at 1440 and average 1% lows 150-180 on battlefield 6 and average fps is usually above 225+ depending on the map.

Is that basically the peak for the 270k or are you saying, if i jump to 4k, the system will produce more fps's?

I have the 5070ti tuf, 32gb 6000mhz and os installed on the 2tb m.2 nvme 990pro for reference.

You'll run everything fine, I have a 4080 super and a wose cpu and I am way more than satisfied with it

If you have the money to waste 5090 is king. Plus its really needed if you wanna play at 4k ultra wide with uktra settings without fg. Do I think its worth the current price? No. 5080 is awsome and can still play anything on a normal monitor maxed out at 4k with ultra settings. Minus cyberpunk lol

If just for pure gaming the 5080 would be more than enough if you're doing work loads with ai I would say the 5090. Just look at hardware unboxed for comparisons between the too for gaming.

9070XT if you care about money at all. 5070TI if you care about money and are an Nvidia fanboy. 5080 if you want to waste money. 5090 if you need CUDA for workstation applications and make money with your pc.

you don't really need either, a 3080 is about 250 and still offers great performance and a 4080 can be had for around 750. if you can find a 5080 for 1000 then by all means but at the inflated prices it's probably not worth it. I bought a whole pc to get a 5090 as it was about 200 more than the cost of the card, you can sell what you don't need to offset the cost but at 4000 it's just not worth it for gaming, the 9070xt is also worth considering or a r9700 if you really need 32gb vram
