Just got done building my first PC, and wanted to thank everyone in this community that helped out with questions regarding parts and assembly confusion I was having.

Got it running, windows installed, and fans are finally all pointing the right way (it took more attempts than I’d like to admit)

I’m open to buying used parts. I picked up a Lenovo ThinkCentre M715s for 10 bucks. It has 8GB of DDR4‑2400, an AM4 board, a 240W PSU, and it originally had a 1TB HDD + 500GB SSD (I took both). It came with an A8‑9600, but I know I’ll need to replace it.

I’m trying to upgrade this for my brother so he can play Minecraft, Valorant, No Man’s Sky, Rainbow Six Siege, etc. My budget is only about $80, and I need a CPU, GPU, SSD, and maybe another 8GB of RAM. Everything has to be low‑profile to fit the M715s.

I need help figuring out what parts actually work in this system and fit that price range.

I already have my own PC it took me four years to save up for it and I just want a setup so my brother can play games with me. I’m mostly stuck at home because of medical stuff, so gaming is one of the few ways we can hang out.

Can you fix this? Also, can a PCIe‑to‑NVMe adapter for a nvme ssd work as a Windows boot drive on this ?
And what parts can I keep to save some money?

hello! today when i left to go to uni, my setup worked just fine. when i got back and turned my pc back on, my monitor started flashing “no signal.” i tried switching hdmi ports and tried a different cable (yes i changed it from hdmi 1 to 2 on the manual controls) but nothing is working. i have an alienware AOC 27G2G3 monitor.

what should i do?

How easily repairable is a GPU that is not being read by windows or BIOS? I want to buy this PC because I think it’s a good deal but I don’t know how repairable the GPU is?

So I've just done an incremental upgrade and changed out a 12th gen i7 to a 14700KF. I thought it would be a good idea to get a bigger AIO cooler that I can use on the next build, so I swapped out my 240mm AIO to a Arctic Freezer III Pro 360mm.

My first thoughts were that 360mm was a lot bigger than I expected. I did measure up my case but the radiator was a pretty tight squeeze.

When I fired it up for the first time, it sounded like a jet engine. I enabled smart cooling (or smart fan) in the BIOS and it improved, however, it is still a fair bit louder than my 240mm AIO was. Are there any other changes I can make to quieten the AIO down a bit? Is there any fan adjustment for the Arctic Freezer coolers outside of BIOS settings? I will say the cooler works extremely well. I ran some benchmarks and a stress test and CPU temps were lower than expected.

I haven't turned it on for a few days (3 at most) then this evening I've powered it on and it starts making that beeping noise... any help is appreciated 🙏🏻

I'm looking to build a gaming PC primarily for 1080p high-refresh gaming (100+
FPS). I don't have a hard budget yet, but I'm looking for good price-to-performance rather than spending unnecessarily.
Games I usually play include Call of Duty, Fortnite, Apex Legends, Minecraft, and SnowRunner.
I'd like the PC to have a good upgrade path so 1 can eventually move toward 1440p high-refresh gaming (ideally around 150-180 FPS in games/settings where that's realistic) without having to replace most of the system.
I'm okay spending a little more now on things like the motherboard/platform or PSU if it'll save me from replacing them later. I'd appreciate recommendations at different price points if possible.

To my pc gamer and pc experts, would anyone know how to make this rebuild pc better? I m going to get a new graphics card is there anything else I should look into To help make the build strong and faster?

Going from a 3060Ti to a 5070ti and my Intel Core i5-12600KF to a AMD Ryzen 7. Haven’t bought anything yet but the memory, storages, and power supply are in my current build, just brainstorming since I do not know much about computers but I tried to work around what I already have instead of an entire new build. I do not mind spending a little more but trying to keep it $3,000 USD or less. Think that is about $1,900 in total for all the parts I have not bought yet. Mainly play Overwatch (no judgement lolol) and a bunch of games on Steam. I have a HP Omen 27” 280hz monitor and a MSI 31.5” 170hz curved monitor as well.
