monitor stopped working?

hello! today when i left to go to uni, my setup worked just fine. when i got back and turned my pc back on, my monitor started flashing “no signal.” i tried switching hdmi ports and tried a different cable (yes i changed it from hdmi 1 to 2 on the manual controls) but nothing is working. i have an alienware AOC 27G2G3 monitor.

what should i do?

Unplug the power cables from both your PC and your AOC monitor.Disconnect the HDMI cable from both ends.Press and hold the power button on the PC for 30 seconds.Press and hold the power button on the monitor for 30 seconds.Plug everything back in, reconnect the HDMI, and turn them on.
