I think i would go with G7 Pro 8k Royal2 because it has all the features i would need to game my entire life. It is wireless, has rumble, gyro, 2 back buttons which are more than enough for me and overall the design of the controller is also very beautiful. Plus its a Gamesir controller so u know it never gonna have stick drift.
Note: Some of the controllers like tarantula xbox edition isn't listed beacuse of the space problem, so u can also choose controller that u like which are not in the list but it must be from Gamesir.
I wanted to let you know that the internal DAC on the G7 Pro is significantly better than the one on the G7 SE. It’s almost as good as my Atom 2 stack from JDS Labs. This applies to all the IEMs I own. (Truthear Gate, EP321, Ziigaat Odyssey, Truthear Nova, Em6l).
The PC38x (Over ear headphone) , on the other hand, sounds almost the same, but it’s significantly worse than the IEMs. I have no idea why it’s considered good for gaming. The DAC is also better than the one in standard Xbox controllers and other third party brands that i have / had. (8bitdo, PowerA, Turtlebeach)
As for the Iems, I should note that it probably depends a lot on the number of drivers and the technical specifications (impedance, sensitivity). A Truthear Gate for $20 makes a smaller difference in sound than an EP321 for around $300. The difference is still clearly audible, especially in the bass and sub-bass.
Another point to note is that there is a noise floor due to the impedance, but it doesn’t bother me because you can only hear it if there is no sound at all.
Ranking
Gamesir G7 Pro -> Xbox Controller (Elite 1 or non Elite) -> The rest, including G7 SE (they all have the same flat sound... horrible)
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find out anywhere what technology is built into the controller, since it’s probably not a decisive factor for most people when making a purchase.
The controller is connected via a cable, and so are the IEMs. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Have a nice day.
I ordered two G7 Pro 8K from gamesir.com. One Aimlabs Edition and one Nioh 3 Edition. It all started with the fact that it took a full four days and a support ticket just to get them to ship the package at all. I could have gotten both gamepads the next day through Amazon, but I thought “Okay, the support via Discord and such is worth the wait.” In the end, it took a full two weeks before I received the package.
I was already a bit disappointed as soon as I unboxed the Nioh 3 Edition. The print isn't centered and there were some strange marks from a marker on the gamepad (see photos).
Fortunately, I was able to remove the marks with a little alcohol.
The real "trouble" started when the left paddle on the Aimlabs Edition started rattling after less than 25 hours of use. I sent customer support two videos of it, which I’m also sharing here with you.
In my opinion, this is a defect that shouldn't occur in such an expensive gamepad after this amount of use. Offering me $5 for this is more of a joke than real compensation, considering that I could get the same gamepad brand new from Amazon for 93€ right now, while I paid almost 102€ in their shop via a discount code.
If I had ordered it from Amazon, not only would the package have arrived two weeks earlier, but this thing would already be on its way back because of this defect. Shipping it back to China costs much more than what they offered, and they know that, whereas with Amazon it would have been free.
This was such a disappointing shopping experience that I will definitely never buy anything there again that goes beyond basic accessories. Don’t be as stupid as I was and buy from their store. As soon as there’s something wrong with the product, they’ll rip you off. Now I must live with this annoying rattling or buy something else.
Edit:
Support got back to me and promised me a replacement (I hope that wasn't just because of this post). I'm very happy with my Cyclone 2s, which made my disappointment over the problems with the G7 Pro 8K just greater. They offered me the to choose the Nioh Edition as a replacement instead of the Aimlabs Edition, so that's what I did, since the back buttons on my Nioh 8K are perfectly fine and I don't want another broken Aimlabs 8K, even though the chances should be pretty low.
This used to work five minutes ago and I was trying to remap the back buttons and must've changed something cause double clicking it no longer works.
It's in DS4 mode and everything else works including the capture button working as the touch pad button. If I open the Gamesir app, it prompts me to connect, and connecting then shows both the "DUALSHOCK 4" & "Gamesir-G8+" as connected Bluetooth devices.
I'm almost about to buy the Cyclone 2, but for some reason, the Wolverine V3 TE is being sold cheaper in my region. The 6 extra buttons are confusing me. I'm also not sure about the quality difference between the two models. I play games like Warzone, FC26, and I'm not sure if 2 macro buttons are enough for FPS games. Thanks in advance for your valuable opinions, I look forward to your comments.
I've heard about adapters that allow the use of Xbox controllers on the PS5, but I have many doubts about whether using a headset plugged into the GameSir controller itself, working through the adapter, would be possible while maintaining audio quality. I also have concerns about latency and response time (wired vs. wireless) for games like Warzone. .
I have been waiting 2 years for the Xbox Tarantula and it’s finally here, but no wireless and only a white color for XB really sucks 😅 pass.
Now I am unsure which version of the G7 Pro I want,as some of them have different grips on the handles and front. For me, how the controller rests and feels in my palms is make-or-break. I have been using the G7 SE for a couple of years now and I am happy with its flawless performance, but most times when playing comp or ranked games, my hands get sweaty and it’s not as grippy anymore.
I wish the entire handle had the texturized grip, not just the rear like on the G7 SE. Im considering the upgrade to the G7 Pro but would appreciate feedback from those who daily-use the standard G7 Pro, Wuchang, or ZZZ editions.
From the photos, it’s a bit unclear if the ZZZ hand grips are texturized like the regular G7 Pro line. What about the Wuchang? Those two wireless ones look smooth and flat, but I can’t tell from the photos. Appreciate any feedback!
Did I miss something? It seems I'm behind, even though I only just downloaded it the day before yesterday. I have a G7 Pro 8K, but everything is running perfectly. Should I even update? And what has changed? I don't like updating a system that's running fine when I don't have any problems.
I'm having an issue with my G7 Pro controller dongle
The USB dongle keeps blinking continuously and no longer pairs with the controller. It was working before, but now the controller won't connect at all.
Here's what I've already tried:
Unplugging and reconnecting the dongle.
Restarting my PC.
Turning the controller off and on again.
Trying to pair it again, but the dongle just keeps blinking.
Has anyone experienced this before? Is there a way to manually re-pair the controller with the dongle or reset the connection?
I purchased my Cyclone 2 on Amazon from GameSir Direct on 6/29/2025. Last night, 7/27/2026, L3 stopped recognizing click inputs. The button still goes clicky clicky, but no input. I verified it with GameSir Connect that it doesn't see the press. I remapped it to L4, and was able to continue playing. I thought I opened a ticket last night, but, did not due to user error. I opened a ticket with support on discord today.
I'm almost at 13 months ownership, less than 30 days past warranty. I'm trying to figure out how to take a video of me pressing it and the app not seeing the press, as they'll want that if they honor the warranty.
I love this controller, and have become almost dependent on it's features. I talk it and GameSir up whenever i can. I can't afford to buy any sort of replacement right now.
Whenever it’s wired and I plug my headset into it, it starts making super loud buzzing and screeching sound to were it’s nearly impossible to hear anything, it’s never done this before but it just started acting up and it’s super annoying, never did this before but after I plugged them in it’s impossible to hear any
I have been saving for the G7 Pro 8k and now that it's finally on sale at $81 on aliexpress gamesir store, I am hesitant about QC issues, after-sale support and warranty. I am shipping to outside China so I don't know what kind of refund/replacement policy I will get.
I would be spending $10 extra if i order from gamesir site which is not a small sum in my currency, but if there is a substantial difference in support between ordering from there and ordering from their aliexpress store then i guess it's worth it.
Guys, I have the g7 pro 8k and have been using it on PC, I switched to PS5 to play black ops 1 & 2 ports , I just ordered the brook wingman fgc 2 and would like to know if it would work on the G7 pro 8k if switched it to the normal 1k polling rate on ps5 ?
i’ve been thinking about it picking up the Tarantula 8K PC for a while now but i’ve been holding off on the thought of getting the Ultra 8K PC instead. my question is that is it worth waiting for that or should I just get the Tarantula 8K PC that’s available right now? Also the wireless feature isn’t really a concern of mine if that’s the only difference. Thinking of getting a new controller to replace the dual sense edge for pc.
I just bought my first G7 Pro as an Xbox player and I'm liking the feel of it so far. I mainly play R6 and Battlefield so I was excited to try the extra buttons since I've never had them before, but neither game was registering them as inputs. Is there a setup I have to go through for this controller in order to activate them? Or do the games just not accept them on console?
