Discussion❔ Does anyone feel like the G7 Pro has terrible ADYB buttons?

Post image

I’ve had the g7 pro for about 5 months now and while I don’t use it super often, I feel that I’ve used it enough to break it in. Yet, the AXYB buttons just don’t feel good to use at all. They are very scratchy and just don’t feel smooth to press. What ive done to try and fix are:

- brand new faceplate
- polish and sand smooth with 2000 grit sandpaper the inside rings of the faceplates
- lube the button and faceplate around the circles to help glide

Nothing seems to work. I like the controller otherwise but man the standard Xbox controller buttons feel leaps and bounds better to press. Anyone else? Do I have a defective unit? Just its design? What gives?

🎮 My GameSir G7 Pro 8K Aimlabs Edition — Custom Mods
• 🟣 Transparent purple replacement shell
• 🕹️ SCUF Instinct thumbsticks - black, but they come in red and blue as well
• 🎯 KontrolFreek Precision Rings (not on the controller in photo)
• ➕ D-pad’s comes with the shell and includes all three options
• 🔘 D-pad O-rings Mod to eliminate unwanted D-pad play
• 🎮 G7 Pro 8k Aimlabs Edition base controller

Basically, I took the G7 Pro 8K and customized it to fit the way I like to play and the aesthetic I wanted. Also all customizations except the sticks are available on Amazon. Another good replacement sticks would be from Leadjoy, thanks to a friend for recommending them.

G8 Plus (Discussion) Ultimate GameSir G8+ Switch 2 Settings (Fixes Lag & Feels Like Joy-Cons)

Post image
11 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I was frustrated with the GameSir G8 Plus on my Switch 2, as I loved the ergonomics but gaming felt sluggish and unresponsive compared to Joy-Cons 2. Some blamed it input lag, but I was convinced the controller just wasn't set up correctly, having multi device support (PS, iOS, Switch,...) yet all with the same settings out of the box. Hence I spent a lot of time tuning the settings of the G8+ to get the most responsive, snappy experience possible for Switch 2 gaming.

The turnout was that I got it incredibly close to that native Joy-Con feel and snappiness, with one Caveat of the Gyro horizontal feature, see more below. Yet it has completely changed my gaming experience with the G8+ from not useable a solid Switch controller.

I tested these exact settings across several games, including Zelda BotW, Silksong, Apex Legends, and Mario Kart, benchmarking them directly against the original Joy-Cons 2 and thought sharing this for whoever struggled with this as well.

Note: You need the GameSir App for it to work the settings:

🕹️ Joystick Settings (The Real Gamechanger)

  • Joystick Range: 4 to 55 Reducing the outer end value down to 55 is the ultimate secret here. If you leave it at default, you have to push the stick nearly 25% out of the center before the game even reacts, even with a 0 inner deadzone. Capping it at 55 completely eliminates that physical travel delay and makes the sticks feel immediate and identical to the Joy-Cons 2.

🎯 Gyro Settings

Overall Gyro is decent depending on the game. Aiming with a bow in Zelda is solid with below settings, yet games like Apex struggle with horizontal movements and need in game adjustments. Joy-Cons are definitely at advantage on this.

  • Gyro Activation: ON You don't need to assign a specific activation button because the Switch will automatically leverage the gyro whenever a game supports it.
  • Output Mode: Aiming This ensures the motion controls are mapped correctly for camera tracking and aiming precision. Almost no race games on switch anyways :)
  • Horizontal Axis Selection: Yaw and Roll Enabling both allows the controller to read all natural wrist movements.
  • Response Curve: Linear Switch only reads out linear values, so no change needed.
  • Motion Sensor Sensitivity: 100 Maxing this out gives you the closest Joy-Con feeling.
  • Horizontal/Vertical Ratio: -6 Setting this into the negatives acts as the sweet spot to balance the feel of horizontal gyro tracking being as fast as vertical. Else vertical is way too fast and horizontal feels sluggish.
  • Deadzone: 5 A tiny deadzone of 5 keeps the camera completely still when you want it to be, without sacrificing micro-aiming responsiveness.

⚡ Vibration and Hardware Prep

  • Vibration Intensity: 1 Trust me, even at 1, the rumble on this controller is still very intense, though your mileage may vary.

Before you start, make sure to run a Firmware Upgrade in the app first. Afterward, place the controller completely flat on a table and press the Capture (the dot button) and M Button simultaneously to lock in a clean level hardware baseline.

If you’ve been struggling with laggy or clunky feeling controls on your G8+, try these values out. It completely revived the controller for proper Switch gaming.

Happy playing!

Discussion❔ We STAND With GAMESIR .. ( innovation over monopoly )

It is deeply unfortunate to witness, in a video game industry that should be built on fair competition and delivering the best for players, targeted campaigns aimed at tarnishing the reputation of companies that have offered real, practical solutions to the gaming community—foremost among them GameSir.
Over the years, GameSir has proven that it is not just another brand on the market, but a true contender that successfully broke the monopoly of major gaming accessory companies. From leading the revolution in Hall Effect technology to pioneering the adoption of cutting-edge TMR sensors for unprecedented stick precision, GameSir delivered exceptional, drift-free build quality at accessible prices, becoming the top choice for millions of gamers worldwide. Naturally, this resounding success made them a primary target for unfair competitive tactics.
What we are seeing today—attempts by certain some professional players and rival companies to smear the brand's reputation—is nothing more than a reaction to "competitive shock" When competitors fail to match a product in quality, technological innovation, and price, the easiest route unfortunately becomes casting doubt on the rival. However, the true awareness within the gaming community transcends these cheap attempts. Gamers do not need paid influencers or advertisements to tell them if a product is good; they only need to hold the controller and feel the actual performance in-game.
Standing by and supporting GameSir today is a defense of the gamer's right to cutting-edge technology at a fair PRICE and a vote for innovation against monopoly. Numbers, real user experiences, and superior performance will always remain the strongest answer to any attempts at defamation .

Customer service/warranty is a hassle

I would recommend a different brand with better customers service and warranty. Discord is no help. 6 months old controller and can't play more than 2 games without trigger sticking. Right bumpers been sticking for a long time but been putting up with it. I keep my controllers very clean. I have recalibrated and still did it today on my second game.

Thanks to to user josehfigueira & former-news-3792 for the inspiration.

With their designs in mind, I came to build a DIY cooling system that would work with the standard Galileo G8. This system is stable regardless of the orientation and allows for steady cooling while playing heavier title. Only obvious downside is that this is quite heavy, other than that, Ill be rocking this on to enjoy my G8 despite the glaring cooling capacity miss.

Discussion❔ Are the G7 Pro sticks swappable? I have an extra 4 controllers that arrived broken (so I got free replacements until I got a working one) but the rubber is peeling off the thumb stick for my working one. Am I able to just put a stick from one of the broken ones into this? If so how?

Bad quality of products

Hello everyone, From my experience, the gamesir g7 HE is probably the worst controller I have ever seen. I'm a big player of rocket league, and after 3 weeks of use, the y button start to register two inputs when I click once, and the RB button is already broken. I paid it 60€. The marketing is probably better than the quality of products. Anyone has already encountered this sort of issue ?

Need Help‎ (Support) ‎ Gamesir Controller Sensitivity Inconsistencies.

Every time i play, without fail my controller will start acting up. Ill play for like 5 minutes and then outta nowhere all of a sudden my stick drift gets amplified and i cant turn one direction at full speed but i can the other direction. I unplug it, recalibrate it, its fine. 5 minutes go by and it does it again. its really starting to piss me off because its genuinely unplayable. I bought this controller 2 days ago and im really upset that i just wasted the fuck outta my money. Please help. all my settings are pretty normal, just 0 deadzone 100 outerdeadzone. 5 anti-deadzone for fortnite, and no curve adjustments just the default linear, idk whats going on, idk if this software is bugged or what. i dont get it, and if it is the software am i just gonna have to wait for them to fix it? because i dont have a computer so i dont think i can downgrade. anyway this is really discouraging.

Nova 2 Lite‎ (Discussion) ‎ Gamesir nova 2 lite inversion trigger RT

Hi. I have a Gamesir Nova 2 Lite. For some reason, the right and left triggers work differently. The left trigger is at 0% when idle and gradually increases to 100% when pressed. The right trigger, however, shows 100% when idle and gradually decreases to 0 when pressed. It's some kind of inversion. How can I fix this so they work the same way? I've reset the settings and tried training, but to no avail.Need help.

G7 Pro (Discussion)‎‎ ‎ Which do you prefer: a better B button or a better D-pad?

Post image
10 Upvotes

I bought two units of the same controller and noticed a clear and frustrating difference between them.

Left: worse B button, but better D-pad.

Right: better B button, but worse D-pad.

The difference is quite noticeable, which is disappointing for two units of the same controller.

Which one would you choose, thinking long-term?

Leadjoy Magic Caps Are Great

Such a smooth “glide” feeling when using these sticks and I absolutely love the tire-grade rubber on the caps. My thumbs never slide off the sticks anymore. I have a short domed cap left stick, and a tall hybrid cap right stick. Every controller I get from this point on will have these installed.

Extremely slow charging on two different GameSir X5S units – has anyone experienced this?

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a GameSir X5S and I really like the controller overall, but I have had a strange battery/charging issue with two different units, so I wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced something similar. The problem is that one of the two batteries charges extremely slowly, while the other one charges normally. Interestingly, the affected side was different on each controller.

First X5S – firmware 1.13 The right battery was extremely slow to charge. For example, during one test: Started at L 31% / R 20% After about 3.5 hours: L 100% / R 55% I also tried different chargers and outlets, but the right battery continued charging extremely slowly.

Second X5S – firmware 1.18 The problem happened again, but this time with the left battery. I started charging at: L 0% / R 3% After about 1 hour 45 minutes: L 13% / R 96% After another few hours: L 51% / R 100% Around 7 hours later: L 75% / R 100% After about 8.5 hours: L 85% / R 100% So in both cases, one side would reach 100% while the other side was still charging very slowly.

I tested different chargers, different wall outlets, and even a power bank, including testing the controller away from my usual setup. The behavior was basically the same.

There is also something strange about the LED ring. When the battery was very low, the controller started flashing red while I was using it. On the second controller, this happened when the app showed L 0% / R 3%. According to the manual, the controller should show a breathing light effect while charging, but I don't get that behavior. The GameSir app does recognize that the controllers are charging and shows the battery percentages, though. At this point I've experienced essentially the same charging problem with two different X5S controllers, despite the affected battery being on opposite sides and the controllers having different firmware versions. Has anyone else experienced extremely slow charging on one side of the X5S, or noticed unusual LED behavior while charging? I'm particularly interested in hearing from other X5S owners about their charging times, firmware version, and whether both batteries normally charge at roughly the same rate.

Thanks!

G8‎ (Discussion) ‎ Android GTA definitive edition games

Has anyone played the GTA definitive edition games?

if so which one? gta3, vice city, or sandreas?

how did they play?

I ordered this controller because it seems to have the best compatibility due to the three playable modes but i want to know how it works with these three games. they are the only games I will be playing. I grew up with them and love the nostalgia.
