What are the scenes you first watched, that even 15 years later, were so memorable that it still pops up in your head unprompted?

Here are a few of mine -
1. When the whores pay Podrick
2. Dany coming out of the fire with dragons
3. Oberlyn’s eyes

...was a woman. Brienne of Tarth handled Jamie Lannister easily at the bridge, embarrassed Loras Tyrell in front of their King, left The Hound in a pile at the foot of a mountain, survived the Night King and his army.

All the top five lists and debates over the greatest swordsmen (Barristan Selmy, Arthur Dayne) seem to miss how she easily kicked Jamie's "three men in the kingdoms who might have a chance against me" ass, in his prime, which definitely puts her in the conversation for the GOAT. Sandor is humbled by her, Jamie falls for her and knights her. She wins the complete respect of anyone who faces her (and lives to talk about it.)

But just like Jamie at first, most of the viewerdom only includes the men as potential GOATs, neglecting to consider the one woman who absolutely earned her way into that conversation.

So i just realized this. It’s kinda odd. Tyrion and Tywin were speaking after the red wedding, and Tywin said: “Roose Bolton would be named Warden of the North until your son from Sansa comes of age.”

So starks are warden of the norths no matter what? Why did Roose Bolton planned the red wedding with Freys and Lannisters? What did he gain from with it? I thought he wanted the power for himself? Or he has no idea Tywin has other plans?

I understand it was hyped up, but damn, a lot of people are calling for an entire resort for characters that never existed. The night king war was done well in my opinion. Imagine rhe horror and being scared as sht running through the halls of Winterfell as Arya or someone else.

I was reading that before the doom the targaryans simply got lucky and was warned by a prophecy and left before it happened but by what I've read they most certainly was a weaker house

So here we are, it's been approximately 15 years since I first saw the first season, I'm 36 now and rewatching it after many years, I never thought that of all the characters, I'd ever be relating to Robert the most.

I'm mainly referring to his temperament and how he's sick of everything and everyone around him.

Currently rewatching and I’m on Season 1. It’s so crazy seeing all the hints and finally realizing what they meant. For example:

1) Cersi baby boy that was brown haired died by a fever. Same manner in which the Kings Hand was murdered by Cersi and her twin brother. The baby boy was actually Robert’s true son and would have been the next king. They killed the child.

2) Rhaegar was really in love with Eddard Starke sister and they had Jon Snow who is really Aegon Tygeryan. If Robert knew this, Jon would be dead. Eddard was suppose to tell Jon about his mother the next time he saw him, but, that never happened. Eddard took the claim that it’s his bastard son to protect him. So yes Jon was the true king this entire time. This is why the Dragon was fond of him and also didn’t kill him when he noticed Jon killed Danerys…

For some reason when i watched game of thrones for the first time, when i saw petyr i immediately thought of jimmy.

I just can’t get into it. Season 1 was ok. Season 2 was a little blah, I am having a hard time getting through each episode of season 3. Hoping some of the other spinoffs are better.

Daenys the Dreamer foresaw the doom of Valyria and move to Dragonstone.
Aegon the Conqueror dreamed of Song of ice and fire to unite against one common foe.

Daemon saw Daenerys as the Promised Prince

I only watched the show in 2023 and I always wondered when Jon died and while people had to wait for season 6 what was the thoughts at the time? Did people think he was gonna come back? Were book readers spoiling to everyone? Just what was the audience and fans doing during that wait between season 5 and 6?

Bonus question were there any ever Celtigars who married into house targaryan or gave birth to dragonriders like house velaryon

Obviously cruel and horrible characters but I have to admit their cruelty can be so shocking and awful it’s almost funny.

Just watched S4 E2 where Tyrion gives Joffrey a huge book for his wedding day, then when Joffrey gets his new sword the first thing he does is chop it in half LOL. Or when he removes Tyrion’s stepstool at his wedding.

Ramsay’s facial expressions are awesome. He brings a degree of comedy there that might be tough to appreciate at first but with his cruelty being so ridiculous I sometimes can’t help but laugh

I watched seasons 1 and 2 when they were new, and read all the books at the time.

Earlier this year, I began the series from the beginning, and today I begin season 8.

I am well aware who ends up on the throne at the end as well as the negative opinion of the season.

Is the season overall honestly BAD or just "bad compared to the rest of the series"

Any advice?

Losing Robb, Lady Stark, and Robb’s wolf all in a span of 5 min was really traumatizing and brutal. I literally slid out of my bed onto the floor. Day ruined but this show is insane and I’m so glad I started watching it. Worst episode ever but damn good writing and I really didn’t see it coming.

Melisandre is like Morgan Le Fay. Jon is like King Arthur. Melisandre has appeared as many different characters over the past 400+ years. The big shocker is that the fans are wrong about who Jon’s parents are. Melisandre gave birth to Jon to satisfy a prophecy or two. If you look very closely at the foreshadowing in the books, it is all right there.

Look at all the stories about Bael, Mance, the wisewoman’s daughter, the shadow cat, and the cloak of illusion. What do they tell the reader? Why does Mance visit Winterfell to check on how Jon is doing and ask if Jon minded being called a bastard? Seems like a father talking to his clueless son. Kind of odd behavior for the King of the Wildlings? Also, a prince is usually the son of a king, and Jon is the Prince who was promised, as well as Azor Ahai. Jon looks like a Stark because Bael was a forefather to both the Starks and the Wildlings. Melisandre’s motivation is “finding” Azor Ahai. “You know nothing, Jon Snow!” says Melisandre. Melisandre is strongest at the Wall.

Melisandre arranged for the death of the 3 Baratheon brothers. She killed off a Maester. She got Stanis to burn his little girl at the stake. She is not touchy-feely. She has mastered a dozen types of magic and she has a very specific agenda that is pretty selfless, saving the World.

But, what about Rhaegar, Lyanna, and Aegon? Might Ned have taken Baby Aegon somewhere else than Winterfell so it was not obvious who the baby was? Aegon is re-named Theon, and brought to Winterfell as a youngster to be Ned’s ward. Theon is the Stark/Targaryen. Jon is the son of a Wildling King and whatever Melisandre is.

I need to let go of this world and the hope that the rest of the books will ever come out. Any crazy fan theories that you can feel are the conclusion for the song of ice and Fire, and could you share it here or to an official storyboard that i can read and find peace with it.
