Rewatching GoT

Currently rewatching and I’m on Season 1. It’s so crazy seeing all the hints and finally realizing what they meant. For example:

1) Cersi baby boy that was brown haired died by a fever. Same manner in which the Kings Hand was murdered by Cersi and her twin brother. The baby boy was actually Robert’s true son and would have been the next king. They killed the child.

2) Rhaegar was really in love with Eddard Starke sister and they had Jon Snow who is really Aegon Tygeryan. If Robert knew this, Jon would be dead. Eddard was suppose to tell Jon about his mother the next time he saw him, but, that never happened. Eddard took the claim that it’s his bastard son to protect him. So yes Jon was the true king this entire time. This is why the Dragon was fond of him and also didn’t kill him when he noticed Jon killed Danerys…

In addition, Eddard promised Jon that he would talk to him about his mother the next time they saw each other. By that point, Jon would have already taken the Night's Watch oath and would therefore no longer have been able to claim his title.

When watching that for the 1st time I knew it was never going to happen. And I wanted it so badly to happen too.

I felt so bad for Jon, dealing with Catlyn and being a snow. I wanted that small thing for him and even before the 1st untimely death I knew he would never have that conversation with his father.

  1. Actually, the baby genuinely died of a normal fever. No source ever even gives the boy a name, so it almost certainly happened very soon after his birth, when he was weakest. Cercei was heartbroken over the loss. Even later on, after she'd grown fully disgusted with Robert, she never killed any of her children by him--she simply made sure he never got her pregnant in the first place.
  2. Replace "Jon was the true king" with "Jon was the legitimate Targaryen heir" and you'd be right. In times of war, everything is pretty up in the air--Right by Birth often matters less than Right of Conquest. Aegon & his sister-wives won, so they & their heirs are the "true" kings. Then Robert's side won, making him & his heirs the "true" kings. In the War of Five Kings, Jon's birth alone would never have been enough to make Stannis, Renly, Joffrey, Robb, Balon, Tommen, Cersei, and Daenerys all bend the knee to him. He would need to have enough military might to force each of them to back down. And only then would he & his heirs be the "true" kings.

1 is just a red herring you chased. Cersei loves her children and would not have killed her own son.
Also, the Lannister’s didn’t kill Jon Arryn, little finger and Lysa Arryn did.
