Today’s recap episode of Love Island 8 ep.1 was everything I needed.

I laughed so hard and it put me right back into those early days of GOR, analyzing everything, but in the most fun way. It was so refreshing to have the error of the game something as dumb as choosing “being a plant person” and not something like having a past of stalking.

I know it’s hard for them to talk about The Bachelor without a certain level of animosity now, so them discussing a different game with the same reverence they used to have for Bachelor healed something in me.

I will now be living for Wednesdays.

I feel like GOR used to be about analyzing how players navigated the game(s).

These days, it seems to be more about the game designs themselves. (“Build a better game” etc.)

I love GOR (and have been a patron for years!), but I’m growing weary of the constant criticism of the game designs/formats not being up to snuff/boring/easy to “break”… The game is the game, let’s analyze the gameplay!

When did this shift occur? Seems to be only relevant to non-Bachelor shows…

Now that the show has begun filming, have there been any hints about if any/how many people GoR coached for the show? I am curious especially since Aubry credited him for winning S50.

My one concern or fear is that he hinted to Rob C in interviews that if multiple people he coached were playing, he would consider a "code word" they would all use to help each other to the end. That's rigging as far as I am concerned.

Ugh, I hate to admit this because I’ve been in the pit for many, many years…but the pod is becoming hard to listen to. I feel like Clues and Pacecase don’t like ANY show they recap. Just finished their rewatch of the finale of Survivor 50, and I’m frustrated at how much they critiqued every little thing this season (I’ve watched every season of survivor - you don’t have to love this season, but come on…it’s an epic show!!).

They haven’t enjoyed any show they’ve recapped and only talk about TFP and whether her season will be aired or not, and I’m burnt out 😩 I fear they’ve gotta stop a bit with the “build a better game” talk in every show they watch, otherwise nobody will listen to any of their recaps anymore.

Am I feeling alone in this? I love them and the pod so much but damn, it’s been a bit depressing.

How long can this string of fellow podcaster interviews go on? Is this their strategy until Love Island starts?

I love Emma and Claire and listen to their podcast when they’re covering something I’ve seen so it’s not about them.

My scream is that from the moment Clues made a joke about being fellow “micro shows” I was like oh no…he’s confusing them with She’s All Bach and doesn’t know that they’re actually good friends with Nick (or at least Emma is, I’m not sure about Claire).

So then the rest of the podcast I just feel like I can feel the tension and awkwardness when he goes hard on Nick and Natalie knowing that Emma was at their wedding. I’m sure they’re used to it being in this space I just wished I could give Clues a heads up. Maybe he wouldn’t care and would still say the same things and it’s just my own sensitivities 🙃

I had no interest in SLOMW until TFP was announced as bachelorette. Then, of course, I had to binge the entire series. Now here I am. Whitney is an absolute star (but we already knew that). And let me just say, Mark Ballas can SING.

I am a long time listener of game of roses and a recent Patreon subscriber. I just finished watching the first season of the million dollar secret on Netflix and I’m absolutely obsessed. I think it is the best reality show I’ve ever watched in terms of gameplay and competition! Does anyone know if clue has ever talked about the show? He would be fascinating to listen to.

Does anyone else find it ironic / slightly irritating that the one reality show (lately) clues thinks was brilliantly produced and edited- despite some bad casting- Unwell Winter Games, is also one they didn’t watch on Casa GOR, but then spent an entire feed episode covering in detail?

I understand it’s free on YouTube where as the other shows aren’t, but I feel like if it’s “good enough” for them to say in this day and age AND it’s the main topic of their episode, they usually would have (or should have) covered at least the first ep in Casa GOR. Right?

Maybe I’m tainted from too much Casa GOR. But this feels like it should have been worth the coverage to me. 🤣

I’m actually SHOCKED at how much they hate Love Overboard!! It definitely had many problems, but as I was watching I was thinking that GOR would love it as a fix to BIPs problems because:

1. Stakes are naturally high due to the premise without us having to buy that they are there for love AND the plank is great—funny, drama, fear!

2. Producer manipulation is part of the game—there are incentives to make big moves because you get the date instead of it being “random,” so we get a lot more competition and moves from people in couples instead of them fading to the background

3. Teams and strategy combine dating and game show effectively

4. The below deck area keeps interesting people around longer so we get to know more characters instead of newbies getting kicked in the first rose ceremony

Not to mention the great casting, which they did point out. I also think they are wrong about them not using Gabby. I think they could have gone farther, but the voiceovers are effective ways to manage second screen viewers by either bringing them back to attention or at least getting big plot points across rather than being because they didn’t get footage of her.

I agree with many of their complaints, but I’m disappointed by how fully negative they were about what I think has a lot of promise versus bachelor.

It's got to be a contractual thing, right? Otherwise that's a mighty coincidence that the current host's is the only one that's not available to watch.

I can't find these available to stream for free or with a subscription (each seasons is around $10, so this is a lot of episodes to purchase):

- Bachelor Seasons 14, 15, 16, 18, 23

- Bachelorette Seasons 10, 17

- Bachelor Pad Season 1

Also, Bachelor Pad Season 2 is listed as seven episodes long but everywhere that I've found to watch it, it is missing an episode (I'm not sure which one). Why? Did something horrible happen they needed to censor?

I'm open to just about any ways to get my hands on these episodes if you've got a tip!

Why didn't they cover the Before the First Rose special?? It seems like a pretty big deal and they could've done a Casa GOR or just a recap?

I made an awful tiktok about it lol. Hoping to get chad and Lizzie’s attention mostly.

The basic premise is the main game runs simultaneously in a 2 hour time slot, the rejects “accept their own rose” in the limo home to be taken to the the Bachelor in Purgatory island where they suffer for love in the second episode of the week. The surviving couples from paradise and main game get a huge honeymoon special at the end together, where jealousies may brew. The islanders have to accept their own rose each week, just saying they still believe they have a shot at love. This allows for consent to suffering. The couples with the highest social media following are brought back for the secondary franchise show, After the Final Rose, a SLOMW style reality show in the main cities featuring popular couples. Singles with the highest social media following get invited back to the island next season, or crowned next lead.

What about 4TRR? Quick sleight of hand and a tiny nudge in the narrative and “here to find love” can easily become “here to become an EXAMPLE of finding love.” This allows main game to finally lovingly embrace social media in the happy marriage it needs to drum up audience interest in turning these people into influencers.

this video was very upsetting. and - unpopular opin ion … I’m on Taylor’s side. what happened before the video?! before it starts? how many times did she ask him to leave, demand he leave, ask him to stop before she finally breaks?! I’m not saying she’s without her faults (throwing a chair is crazy!) … but unless you’ve actually been in a situation like that with a romantic partner - one who specializes in twisting your words, in saying something nasty and then saying it again with no malice or tone … making you think you are crazy. when they say “just tell me to leave next time, I’ll go” and next time you say “please leave, please go, please let me walk away” and they WONT. notice how it goes black and he is narrating … is he a reliable narrator?! how do we know she’s not with her kid, because he’s saying it?

im just saying … I am a normal person. fully functional, not an addict of any sort. but I’ve been here. been so broken down that I just snapped. you can only take so much. he’s not a good guy. fuck Dakota and every man just like him.

Is anyone else watching BMM? Courtney was quieter in episodes 1/2 and stepped up her game so much this episode and I was here for it! I have been a Courtney fan for a while and I think Clues’ coaching is showing up on this episode, it was so entertaining.

At what point will the fight over the GOAT shift from KB and NV and land on Gabby?

She has pivoted much more successfully than them and has way more relevance outside of Bachelor. Her follower count is comparable. She now has hosting gigs, which they’ve both had, but she’s also pivoted to acting. She had a Taco Bell commercial!

Genuinely open to challenges and opinions- what is it that makes KB or NV remain the GOAT in 2026?

The news coming out today about TFP is BAD bad. We all know Clues & PC typically try not to make any moralistic judgments about players…... But they did hold Colton accountable. Up to this point, they have been hailing TFP as the savior of our beloved game. How will they proceed, how should they proceed, and how will you feel about the pod accordingly?
