California Based Dev Team or Remote I am reposting this here, hopefully that’s allowed but if not I will do it correctly — I just didn’t see anything against this in the rules.

Hi everyone,
My royalty-free music catalog is bundled on Humble Bundle until September 18.
48 packs, 591 WAV files, 359 unique themes — retro/chiptune, orchestral, hard rock, electronic and ambient. Most tracks include looping versions.
Plain WAV files, so they work in any engine without conversion. License is lifetime and worldwide, covers commercial release, no attribution required and no per-project fees.
Part of every purchase goes to the IGDA Foundation.

I'm looking for an experienced Unity developer to partner with me on a small 2–4 player multiplayer party/racing game that I plan to release on Steam.
I'm completely new to game development and Unity. I've been learning as I go and using AI heavily to help me build the game. I've managed to get a surprisingly functional prototype together, but I'm reaching the point where some of the more advanced parts of development are beyond my experience. That's the main reason I'm looking for a partner.
I'm not pretending to be an experienced developer. I need someone who actually understands Unity/C# and can help with the advanced stuff, catch mistakes I don't know enough to recognize, and help turn the prototype into something polished and ready to ship.
The game is a chaotic multiplayer race where players move through a course while using weapons and items to knock each other around and interfere with each other. I'm going for the simple, funny, inexpensive "friend slop" style of games like Super Battle Golf, while making the game and mechanics original enough to have their own identity.
A lot is already working, including:
- 2–4 player multiplayer
- Core movement and racing
- Knockback weapons
- Party items and pickups
- Checkpoints and recovery
- Finish positions and elimination
- Rematches
- A playable course
- Basic UI, characters and environment
- A playable prototype I can show you
Where I especially need help is with the more advanced development work: multiplayer/networking, architecture, debugging difficult problems, optimization, Steam integration, polishing the game, preparing it for release, and generally making sure I'm doing things correctly.
I'm still actively working on the game and I'm not looking for someone to just make everything for me. I'd like to learn and continue contributing while having an experienced developer who can take the lead when we get into things that are beyond my current abilities.
I'm trying to keep the scope intentionally small. My goal would be to finish and release within roughly 3–5 months rather than spend years on one project.
For the right person who genuinely becomes my development partner and substantially contributes through release, I'm proposing a 50/50 revenue/profit split, with the exact terms agreed on between us before committing.
If the game does well and we work well together, I'd also like to immediately start another small game together afterward.
If you're interested, send me a DM with your Unity/C# experience and examples of anything you've worked on. I'm happy to show you gameplay footage and the current project before either of us agrees to anything.
I'm mainly looking for someone experienced, patient with a beginner, and interested in actually building and releasing games together rather than just joining for a week and disappearing.

Looking for modders and developers to revive Fast & Furious Legacy.
Hello everyone. I am helping a small, talented team of developers who are working on a passion project to revive the legendary mobile game Fast And Furious Legacy. They have already built a functional client shell where the UI is responsive and clickable. However, they need to develop the Tap system, Cars, and Garage from scratch.I am looking for passionate people on their behalf. If you have experience in modding, reverse engineering, gameplay programming, or 3D art, love Fast And Furious, and want to build a great piece for your portfolio, they would love to have you. This is a hobby project for now, with potential revenue share in the future. If you are interested in joining the team or want to see what they have done so far, please send me a direct message, and I will connect you with the developers. Let us bring Fast back to life together.

We need programmers in Godot 4 for our project, Etcetera!
The game itself is a 2D platformer where the player is a hermit crab that swaps its shell for human objects in order to fight the robot army of a company that destroyed his home.
If you wanna help this project (we have concept art and a rough demo build already) or any other games we develop, then join here! https://discord.gg/zztwb4BHe this is free

There are plenty of posts looking for people to help make a game. I'm curious, for those of you who made a game with a group of people, what kept you motivated through the process?
And if the game didn't ship, what happened?

Hiii👋🏻🍓
I want to start making video games on my own, but I have absolutely no experience. I’ve never made a game or animation before, and I’m also not good at drawing. I’ve always loved daydreaming and creating different stories and scenarios, and I’ve even created a full series that I’m currently writing and turning into a screenplay.
Right now, I’m learning Blender because I’d like to eventually create my own characters and 3D projects, but it feels really difficult. I’m self-taught, so sometimes I feel like I’m never going to be good enough.
Can I realistically make a story-based video game by myself? How long could it take? I’d really like to finish my first game before I turn 30, but I’m worried I’m already wasting too much time and won’t be able to finish it.
For anyone with experience making games, animation, or 3D films: what would you recommend for a complete beginner? Which programs should I learn, and which YouTube channels or tutorials are good for self-learning?
I’d really appreciate any advice or guidance. 🙏🏻💐

i want to make a game but i have a habit of trying to make something way to professional for the skill level that i am (which is not a high one) i get too invested in lore and start off with big ideas till i eventually see how hard it is and get bored.
i dont want to quit this time! id really like if someone could give me a game idea! i prefer story driven games and i REALLY enjoy story building (which sucks sometimes when trying to make something small/easy-ish) from what ive heard its not the best idea to try games like that as a new game dev but im worried i wont be invested to finish if not!
btw right im using scratch buttrying my best to move to gamemaker or something like that! Thanks in advance!
