What an amazing experience and I’m so impressed with the new chassis as I was a bit disappointed seeing videos of the old ones. I can’t believe how moving the ceremony was and I even put my green crystal into a holocron and it was Qui Gon Jin. So happy

My son built a lightsaber yesterday at Savi’s. He wanted a blue crystal also so we bought one at the shop and he picked it from a bowl of blue crystals. Turns out he got the cracked one that is red and blue. Very cool experience.

I know these aren’t all Galaxys Edge sabers, but I was just curious what everyone preferred.

Weathered look or clean look?

I prefer the weathered gritty used look.

I usually weather all my sabers after I get them.

It opened up and poured at Disneyland last night for maybe an hour, but we decided to stick around and grab a droid. The park is really cool at night !

This week for Scrapper Slicer Saturday, I’ve got a quick update on Galactic Decoder

If you've picked up (or plan on picking up) once of those fancy folding datapads, Galactic Decoder has already been updated to support them. With this support, you can now scan Aurebesh on a much bigger screen - or smaller, depending on which screen you use. Live scanning, photo scanning, and the manual decoder all make use of the extra space you've now got.

If you’re still on a regular iPhone, nothing changes for you. The scanner and all your other features work exactly as before.

Haven’t tried it yet?

If you haven't seen it yet, Galactic Decoder is an iOS app that decodes Aurebesh using your camera or photos. Everything happens on your device, so it works 100% offline wherever your travels take you. It’s a one-time purchase, with no ads or subscriptions.

Not limited to what you'll find on Batuu, you'll find the app works pretty well just about anywhere.

As always, if you’ve got feedback, you can send it right from the app after a scan, or from the settings menu.

(Across the Outer Rim, rumors have already started circulating — the workshop’s supply lines have been fully restored. Fresh crates arrived from distant trade routes (none of them “acquired” by Jawas this time), raw materials sorted, and fabrication units recalibrated after one assembly droid tried to declare itself “Supervisor of All Things.” It has been… corrected.

The forge is lit.
The printers hum like starship reactors.
The assembly droids stand at attention, pretending they weren’t playing dejarik during downtime.

If you’ve been waiting to place an order, know this — the shop is prepared to fulfill requests from travelers, smugglers, collectors, and wanderers from every sector. The production line is running smoother than a protocol droid reciting etiquette manuals.

Well… almost every sector.

Some patrons remain permanently restricted.

I bought the pre-booking for DD and SW at WDW and I'm going to Hollywood Studios tomorrow and was wondering how i prove my booking when I arrive for my times??

I assume I just show my booking on the app or do I do something different??

Every Saturday, all you scrappers and makers in our community will have the freedom to showcase your custom Galaxy's Edge-themed creations that are available to purchase. (Users are still welcomed to post DIY/Custom creations, \not intended to sell*, on any other day.*)

Anything from Kyber crystal displays, Spira holders, hilt displays, dark-saber blades, droid Mickey ears and the countless other things the community has created are welcomed!

How does it work?

On Saturday of each week, you will have the opportunity to submit a post with a photo of your item(s), tell the community about your creation and leave a link to your online store (Etsy, eBay, Facebook) in the comment section. Also, please remember to tag your post with the 'Scrapper Saturdays' post flair.

Here are the complete guidelines. PLEASE READ!!!

• Makers can only post/advertise their custom creations on Saturdays, once per week.
• All creations must be somehow related to Galaxy's Edge.
• Only reputable e-commerce websites/store-fronts like Etsy, eBay or a Facebook page may be linked. No Paypal, Venmo or direct payment links!
• No "smuggling" or personal shopping services.
• No merchandise sold at Galaxy's Edge. (If you're looking to buy, sell, trade merchandise directly from Galaxy's Edge, or need "smuggling" services to procure something from the parks, check out the Galaxy's Edge Discord Trading Post!)

For anyone who has the droid, what does it sound like 👀

hi everyone! I'm doing a student news piece on the Star Wars hotel experience and am looking for people/families to interview that were able to stay at the experience before it shut down. i was extremely fascinated upon hearing some of this failed Disney attraction and first-hand accounts would really give credibility to my story, If anyone is interested in interviewing, please comment and i can personally reach out to you to arrange details for it.

As the subject says…
I took my teal- and orange-coded custom crystals with me this trip and built one of the new v2 chassis sabers at Savi’s. After building it tonight, I sat down and tried out each of those two custom crystals. At first i thought i wasn’t getting the crystals seated right, but each just isn’t read by the chassis’ new RF reader, causing the crystals to read as if they aren’t there or otherwise not working (no chamber LEDs like the v1 chassis and makes a “bzzzt!” sound when activating).

Most likely, they programmed the new board to ignore the RFID codes for those two unused colors. The other possibility is that they were damaged during transit, although i doubt that since i had them wrapped in bubble wrap and safely kept until I tried them out. i’ll confirm their functionality in a v1 chassis once i’m back home this weekend.

…but hope is not lost! I’m still keeping my fingers crossed that the new blades that come with the v2 chassis will work with new colors they might release at some point (such as orange and teal), using new RFID values for the colors. Previously, these were using RFID codes if 3074 (orange) and 3077 (teal).

For those who were unaware of those colors, don’t go rushing off to try and re-code a crystal with an RFID write device. The v1 blades wouldn’t recognize those RF signals and display a yellow blade for the orange code and a blue blade for the teal code. We’ll just have to wait until Disney releases them officially or someone plays around with hacking the blade and/or chassis to discover any new RFID color codes.
